I bought my Wife off ebay. The description said she'd do the housework and perform basic sexual duties and she does neither. And now she's living with the guy two doors down! mad

Do you think I can make a claim as I paid through PayPal? confused

Perhaps.... I think this falls under " if the item you receive does not match the description of the item you purchased, you may be due a refund"

I am getting angrier by the minute.... I cannot believe I got scammed... just so WAY out of character for me... my spidey-senses are usually a great yardstick and I dismissed my concerns... this was for my son afterall...

You can't beat yourself up over it. Next time you'll remember this incident and think twice. I know it sucks to lose money, but at the end of the day, it is just money--at least no one was hurt or that kind of thing. You can still make your son's birthday great, even without a fancy Nintendo.

Fauxie

Paypal are crooks too, though, with their terrible exchange rates in their favour, plus basically stealing my money one time. I withdrew 50 pounds to my bank account and later they said they'd accidentally paid it twice. When I had 50 pounds in my Paypal account again they put a hold on it and claimed it for themselves. I KNOW they didn't make the payment twice, from simply looking at my bank statements. I never did get it back. disbelief

I get screwed because I can't actually SEE the product before buying it.

Pictures are too blurry.

I end up paying original issue prices for a "rare/OOP" bootleg/knockoff. duh

Update: I have finally gotten the Internation Internet Police involved ( I know right!) lol and I have filed complaints with eBay, Western Union and IC3.

So Idecided I still wanna hook my son up right.... placed another bid... guess what... 4 emails within 5 minutes trying to scam me AGAIN..... falloff

I wrote some pretty fucking horrible things in response to each of those emails, closing each with "Eat Shit.... you're being reported!"

Please Please Please people...take heed and learn from my mistake... do NOT ever send money through Western Union..... and never go outside of eBay to buy something....

Sorry. That has never happened to me. I bought the DS Crimson and Black for my daughter this Christmas. I got it from Dell.com.

I saw a similar story of a woman who paid 2500 for a wedding dress. The exact thing happened. Someone contacted her after the auction ended. She sent money directly to the person and never received the dress. She went on the Today show and was surprised with a new dress. The designer actually presented the dress to her. She also got more gifts from various people.

Hopefully, you will be rewarded for this trouble.

Well I will contact PayPal tomorrow morning, I read on the Ebay policy that if you buy from a seller who is insured by PayPal (which seems the case), PayPal can refund you the amount for the non received purchase.
I have little hope in getting my money back (it seems to simple) but I will not give up on that crook. I will destroy his reputation (well at least his Ebay reputation) lol

FlowerMania

any chance you looked @ some previous sales from this joker and contacted one those people? Find out if they ever got there product(item) or how they paid for it?????
Maybe find out how LONG it took them to get something?
I have had things from over seas actaully be shipped on a BOAT and it took like 3 - 4 weeks to get it. They have a really cheaper shipping rate this way.
I would look back at some of the people and contact a few of them. Be really nice about it etc and find out that they have to say
A lot of these places do a drop shipping. It could take WEEKS!!!

Well I contacted PayPal today and their policy for non received goods is to contact them within 45 days which is too late, damn!.
I left a negative feedback, if by Friday I have not received the seller's reimbursement (that's the ultimatum I gave him) I will file a complaint to Ebay.
I am not too optimistic on the reimbursement but I have to try.

Good luck to you Suzie.... I however am S.O.L. and have virtually no chance of ever being compensated for my loss... however the judicial ball is in motion and maybe someday there will be some retribution....

On a lighter side.... I continue to get emails from these pricks trying to trick me in to sending more money.... I have been sending the most vile cruel emails my evil little mind can conjure up in response... so far none of them have had the balls to respond.... pussy

A week or so ago I placed a few bids on an item on eBay. I kept getting outbid so I dropped it. I was contacted by "the seller" a few days later inquiring as to whether or not I'd like to make a best offer for the item. I did and he accepted. I received an "official" email from ebay congratulating me and telling me how to complete the transaction.

The payment option was through Western Union.... (what a dumbass I am! wall ) I paid the agrred upon price + a transaction fee of $22.

Then nothing.... I cannot get a hold of this guy and eBay claims it was done "outside" of them and now here I am... a week later... wondering if I just got taken for almost $200.

This was supposed to be a surprise for my oldest sons birthday....and fuck if I don't feel like a dumbass for this..... I have had pretty good luck in the other transaction I have had on eBay.....but now this...

Anybody else out there get duped by eBay?

Same thing happened to a friend of mine... he had been contacted by the seller, who said the winning bidder had dropped out. It was an "off-line" transaction, and ripped my friend off by 600 euros or so...

Then the guy disappeared and was never found again. He had done this to a whole lot of people.
