Chris Benoit and Family found Dead?

There has been a story of wrestler Chris Benoit and his wife and kid found dead in their Atlanta home. I got news of this on a NBA site I visit, but don't know if to believe it or not?

Professional wrestler Chris Benoit was found dead along with his family this afternoon in his Atlanta home, according to published reports.

The Atlanta-Journal Constitution is reporting authorities confirmed that Benoit, 40, his wife, Nancy, and their 7-year-old son were found dead at the home on Quarters and Redwine roads in Fayetteville.

The Montreal-born Benoit, who moved to Edmonton when he was 12 years old, lived in Sherwood Park as recently as May 2000.

World Wrestling Entertainment issued a release over Benoit's death.

"World Wrestling Entertainment is deeply saddened to report that today Chris Benoit and his family were found dead in their home," the statement reads.

"There are no further details at this time, other than the Benoit family residence is currently being investigated by local authorities.

WWE spokeswoman Cheryl Kong in Toronto said Monday night’s “Raw” TV program would serve as a tribute to Benoit and his family.

Benoit was a former world heavyweight champion, Intercontinental champion and held several tag-team titles over his career.

Benoit was scheduled to wrestle at the Vengeance pay-per-view Sunday night in Houston, but was replaced at the last minute because of what announcer Jim Ross called “personal reasons.”

I'm not a WWE fan, but what an awful month for them! First Sherri Martel dies, now this.

Not a fan at all, but RIP Chris and family.

Benoit was one of favorite wrestlers. He always gave 100 percent for the fans. I'm still in shock about it.

Knowing what went down, was the WWE premature in celebrating him tonight? Is it right to celebrate a man who could murder a 7 year old child?

yeah this is rather shocking, but they arnt saying anything is certain just yet, its all specualtion, it was rather strange raeding that he was going to miss Vengance due to "family problems" but damn this is the last thing i thought would happen!

This is just horrible... only thing i can think of is she was taking the kid and was gonna leave him, which is why he didnt make it to the PPV yesterday. thought they could work it out. I dont want to believe that he killed them and then himself. The way the wrestlers talked tonight about how he loved his kids, thats just so shocking.

yeah but also take in mind a lot of those interviews were from the Beniot DVD so they were a few years old, but even still it is a bizarre thing to happen, lets just hope the police are wrong with their first assesment of the situation..

It's usually desperate people who love their family and can't think of a life without them who do things like this. Sounds crazy, but tha fact he killed them and then took his own life doesn't mean he didn't love them. Probably quite the opposite. People do strange things when they're about to lose all they care about. It's just a very sad day for everyone involved.

This is getting more difficult to bear... They think it was a murder-suicide, but that no gun was involved.

I can think of several ways to die, but most other than a gun or some poison that puts you to sleep (which I doubt he used) seem particularly grisly and torturous.
