The Anna Nicole Smith Show Has anyone here watched it? I just found season one on dvd and watched the whole thing in a couple of evenings. I must say that I found it more sad than funny. I can laugh at Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton, but Anna Nicole is a quite tragic character. She struggled to get out of her home town, got pregnant very early, never got proper education, is obviously not too gifted and has been used by pretty much every man in her life, it seems. Everybody jokes at her expense. The women think she's a bimbo and the men think she's pathetic.
One of the things I liked about her was her ability to make everybody smile. Even the crustiest real estate broker couldn't help but get affected by her joy for life. Of course she can be extremely obnoxious too, but she did win my sympathies. She's like a little baby in a woman's body. What do you make of her relationship to her assistant Kim and friend Howard? They have some really interesting dynamics going there, in my opinion.

Indeed. But the worst episode is when her cousin comes to town during Christmas and gets drunk cursing everybody out.

I saw just a few episodes of what must have been the 1st season of the show.
The funniest thing to me was that (based on her slurred speech) I thought the dog's name was Shurp-Eye. That's until I read somewhere that it was actually Sugar Pie. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. @ "Shurp-Eye".
This show was pretty funny. Always wondered if Anna and Howard had something going on between them besides just being "friends". RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

They seemed to take a lot of shiat. Hopefully they were at least paid well. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

Kimmy! I loved the first season. She was beyond repair, it seems. Now she's lost weight, but something tells me the behavoir hasn't stopped. The first season was great but it didn't last. I remember in the seccond season they made Anna a judge on the "People's Court" and an "artist" in the same episode....They were trying to do way too much.
I know that HOward K. Stern is still around but I'm pretty sure Kimmy isn't there anymore (not sure if she left on her own or was fired)...so is the fate of assitants to the stars.
