I am almost always early, unless there is some sort of awful traffic, or my alarm clock doesn't go off. Getting somewhere late ruins my entire day, really. are you always late, early or there spot on time? I too suffer from inpunctualism. regardless of how early I prepare, I always end up getting there late. "be glad that you are free, many a man is not"

I'm usually a little late, not quite on purpose though. It's just that I hate being early and having 2 wait 4 whatever 2 start, begin or get going. I guess I'm impatient

I understand where you are coming from, work wise I am always late, I try to be early but it never quite happens.. I work for myself, so its ok, I always make up the time.. and give more time during the working day.. other times, its not really on purpose, its my fact of life.. I face obstacles, which stop me getting somewhere at a certain time..

Shouldn't u be at work rather than starting a thread about being late?
Brilliant! Yes, it must be in your genes.

AHA! See, this all dependz
Once upon a time i was extremely punctual for EVERYTHING. My mum is like dat, so it rubbed off on me. BUT...in the past say 3 or 4 yearz my punctuality has slipped im kinda known for being 15 minutez to half an hour off-mark...which i can tell pisses my more puntual friendz off...so i feel really guilty I tend not 2 be on time for partiez- i like to come about an hour or two in2 them, unless i am specifically needed 2 be there 2 help out. For lecturez and tutorialz- im usually on time, but i can slacken off n arrive half way through a lecture every now n thenz I am alwayz 15 minutes early for work- cause i have 2 be. The last job i had- i started rockin up late (big big no no when on probation at a job) and nearly bloody lost it!! When i got a warning, i got scared n pulled up my sockz I dont mind lateness- but when it happenz frequently and i have 2 get something done or there is something dats gonna close or whatever and the friend or cousin is running late for some reason thatz not impressive 2 me (like they got caught up chatting knowin they had 2 be somewhere or realised that they needed an extra freakin half an hour 2 curl their eyelashes and do their hair) i tend 2 get annoyed- they know im annoyed cause im all itching 2 go and irritable for about five minutes when they eventually DO arrive. You name it... School, college, uni, EXAMS!, friend's birthdays, picking up friends, friends picking me up (end up waiting), weddings, buses, trains, planes, piggy-backs, court, job interviews, work, most pre-arranged appointments really "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

I'm not too bad. I'm pretty considerate of others. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

are you always late, early or there spot on time? Well, in my case, I am quite prompt 80% of the time.

I'd rather be 5 minutes too early than 1 minute too late.
Maybe it's because I'm impatient and don't like to wait myself, And what IrresistibleB1tch said: I respect other people's time. I always make a phonecall to the person waiting for me..even if I'm only 5 minutes late! The Borg... Partypoopers of the galaxy.. ( Medical Hologram )

@ "it's hereditary"
I used to be late, always. I have a reputation for it unfortunately and I hate it because over the past eight years or so I've cleaned up my act and now I'm now very punctual, but everybody still expects me to be late. I now look at tardiness as being inconsiderate, and I don't want people to think that of me, but that wasn't the way I approached it when it was always me who was late - I just didn't think about the people I was keeping waiting. I loved them just the same but I guess they must've felt annoyed, having to wait for me. Strangely enough, I think what broke me out of it was having to wait for Prince at one of his concerts, when he took over an hour to come on stage. It was getting to most of the crowd and people were slow-handclapping and making comments. I just started to think about how people must feel waiting for me to turn up to see them, and so I changed, just like that. It would be cool if my reputation for lateness could improve, but I guess I've got to earn it back

i can't stand it when people are late.
in fact, i'll give them a short while, and then i'll just fuck off. though i have been known to be late myself (pretty much all the time) so i'm a total hypocrite.

Now I just try to be on time, if I'm a little late so be it.

I am nearly always early and spend lots of time waiting for late people and generally getting annoyed with the other person

are you always late, early or there spot on time? Usually always late, but working on it, since I hate being late! Been taking an early bus to work, and getting there about 15 minutes early (which, for me, is good). RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Ex-Moderator | It depends on what we're talking about but I tend to be right on time. I can't stand being late. I will not see a movie if I've mised any of the beginning and I HATE missing previews. I get annoyed when people are late to meetings at work cause I could be doing something else instead of waiting for someone.
But for parties (unless they are dinner parties where there's a time table for eating and such) it is always best to arrive at least 30 minutes, sometimes an hour or two after the scheduled arrival time. |

I spent 26 years of my life being on time for everything.....then I met my (then) future wife..
Why is it that regardless of the actual true answer, some women always reply to the question "Are you ready?" in the affirmative, no matter how long they know you will still have to wait for them..
