Wow, never saw these photos before... Thanks for posting. Cher had a really young looking Mom...

That's Cher's sister, not her mother

I started reading this today--at the hair shop of all places. I'm going to have to find another copy of it to finish it. It is well worth reading the articles on Bowie (a change for RS IMO).

Sinéad O'Connor has covered David Bowie at a cancer charity benefit event. Taking place at the Metro Chicago last night, O'Connor covered 'Life on Mars' and 'Sorrowful'.

She was joined by David Bowie's famed former backing singer Ava Cherry who performed 'The Jean Genie,' 'Young Americans,' and her own single, 'That’s How Loneliness Goes'.

The pair appeared in part for a cancer benefit celebrating the survival of venue founder Joe Shanahan, with O'Connor and Cherry singing separately alongside the tribute band Sons of the Silent Age.

Bowie passed away on January 10th, just two days after the singer's 69th birthday and release of his final album 'Blackstar'.

He will be given an official tribute at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

Fans had already planned a 'mass singalong' to pay homage the Ziggy Stardust legend, with festival boss Michael Eavis now confirming that Bowie will be honoured at the Worthy Farm event this June.

Bowie previously headlined the Somerset festival sixteen years ago in 2000, thirty years after he arrived at the second ever Glastonbury on foot and performed for its 6,000-strong crowd.

You can watch O'Connor's performance below
