You have done anything and everything that you can to TRY and diminish Michael's history, success, etc. That has always been your singular goal. You are as transparent as glass. Whhhhhaaaaatttt I was 12-13 years old when Thriller was out.....I had the loafers with the pennies in slot of the top of the shoe, wore the highwater pants with the white socks, a made up beat it jacket and thriller jacket my auntie bought for me, I had 2 different style curls trying to be just like Michael Jackson, watched those videos every single chance I got Trying to learn that moonwalk Aaaaaand, God is my witness Got to speak to Michael Jackson live during the labor day weekend of 1983 when he gave an on air interview with my local towns top r&b station from His crib I was so excited, I was unable to say one word to him after he kept on saying hello aftrr my call was patched through during the show. My brother kept shouting, say something say something but I was shocked and didnt know what to say And I took his musical message to heart to, always did, when he said...SHOW THEM HOW FUNKY AND STRONG IS YOUR FIGHT, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO'S WRONG RIGHT, JUST BEAT that gave me the motivation to resist the pressure of joining the neighborhood gangs that were trying to recruit cats my age along with myself I applied his message in my life and it has been a major reason I haven't been in a fight but once since that time and I was in the 7th grade when it happened when a cat 3 years older was trying to bully me Please [Edited 9/25/15 22:02pm] [Edited 9/26/15 3:41am] I feel you on the Thriller album. I was 15 then and at that time I found that to be the most amazing album MJ had done to that point. I know about the Penny loafers because I wore them then too with Lee Jeans and a yellow Oxford shirt. I can't help you with the curl though bro. I always had an aversion to it. I did sport the Bootsy Fuller Waves though. I actually have all of the Jackson 5/Jacksons/MJ catalog all on 2 CDs so I have no agenda to dimninish his accomplishments. Michael was a unique talent, but would he have broken out without the J5? Don't forget the founding member of the J5 was actually Tito not Michael. Michael actually liked to copy Jermaine's singing and that's how Katherine Jackson discovered he had a voice on him and put him forward to be the lead singer.
Up onto that point you can't really say whether Michael would have ever thought of going into showbiz let alone thinking of going onto be the biggest entertainer in the world. Don't forget he was only around 5 when the group started to developed

you do realize that michael bought the jackson5 catalog as soon as the money came rolling in from his partner ship with sony and the beatles catolog. he has been stiffing his brothers on ther catolog for years.

Sony owns the Jacksons catalog, but the brothers own their publishing from that period (peacock publishing as well as their individual catalogs) If you're talking about the Motown catalog, Universal STILL owns it and SonyATV began administering the Jobete publishing, after MJ passed "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

And where in that post did I say otherwise? I was just insisting that the poster was entitled to his opinion (and make predictions if that is what he chooses to do) since these are all opinions. I mean honestly you can't really say what someone can and can not have an opinion about, thats just crazy
Michael was a unique talent...period. Insisting that the other brothers were talented and that Tito found the Jackson 5 (to some how justify that) really doesn't change that. Also, I gave the brothers their due for their talent but I am not going to sit here and act like they were all had the same level of talent, charisma and abilities.
I think some people feel that some are slighting the brothers just because some are pointing out the fact that Michael was a unique talent and logically that doesn't make any sense. Everyone here for the most part have all agreed the brothers were talented just that MJ was the star of the group. I don't know why that bothers some people. Its not like its not a fact.

The brothers get royalties from the CBS/Epic material The Motown material, on the other hand is possible but its not because of MJ, but because of Berry Gordy and the lawsuit he filed against them when they left the label. Its been said the brothers signed away royalties to that material back in 1980 because of the ruling. They got screwed big time. "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

yes, i'm aware of that. fast foward to the 80's he bought the catalog from mca, and he bought the jacksons catalog. he been using their royalities to pay the expense of never land. he gives a measly stipend to his mother and instruct her to pass out what's left to his brothers.

Finally, some facts. Hi bboy!

Pure speculation on my part but it sure does SOUND like Michael Jackson to buy up the J5 catalogue. IF he with held royalties from the family it would go a long way in explaining this percieved rift between him and his brothers. The mythology goes that the brothers were leeches grabbing at any strands of fame that any attatchment to Michaels name could afford. But a more reasonable explanation would be the former.

Jermaine has wrote music for other singers in addition to his own music. Randy and Jackie also wrote some of the songs when they became the "Jacksons". Tito has his own band and writes his own music. Marlon started other business ventures outside of music. They get royalties and money but its selfish to assume your brother is suppose to take care all the family members just because he is the richest in the family. That is why Michael wanted nothing to do with them. Instead of showing him love and affection, they always had their hand out asking him to get involved with something that related to money. If the Jacksons (siblings and parents) actually cared about him and showed him love, he probably would still be here. What I realize is when it comes to Michael people automatically point the finger at him for his troubles instead of looking at the whole picture in his story with wh cyertain things went the way they did.

[Edited 9/28/15 12:09pm] And thats why this entire situation is ao unfortunate because most MJ fans want and choose to believe not realizing and dont want to realize how much they have veen manipulated All this smoke has been polluting the air for over 20 years and needs to be filtered out like yesterday His family are not the people who caused all the troubled he experienced in the latter years On the otherhand, there were a litany of folks outside of them who did When all else fails, its default mode and blame the family [Edited 9/28/15 13:15pm] [Edited 9/28/15 13:18pm]

No, he never bought the catalog as the Jackson 5 catalog was under the Jobete publishing umbrella. He DID attempt to buy it from Gordy as Berry still owned Jobete but he was asking for $200 million so MJ decided against it So as of now, Jobete is still under Universal as are the J5 catalog Remember, back in 2002, MJ sued Universal for unpaid royalties The Jacksons material... Gamble and Huff have a say in the first two albums, and the brothers have a say in the later albums even though Sony owns them. Peacock Publishing is owned by the brothers as well as their individual catalogs The brothers also co own the Destiny, Triumph, and Victory tour footage with MJ's estate "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Scorpio I will never understand what your problem is with Michael. It appears to be deep seeded. You paint yourself as a MJ fan which you probably were but you obviously are not anymore. The truth of the matter is you are an ex- MJ fan and you hate Michael. I just wish you admit that and stop pretending you are a fan when you obviously are an old disgruntle fan. You constatly go out of your way to throw shade, criticize and to attack him. Nothing MJ has done in his career or personal life is never right to you. You never think any of his siblings or parents have done anything questionable when it comes to anything related to MJ. Its okay if you don't like him but I don't see the point in going on and on with these redundant conspiracy theories like they are "facts". You hate Michael and love Janet and the rest of the other siblings, fine but please stop asserting your conspiracies and assumptions as facts. These are not facts, these are just your opinions. Receipts have been provided to shut down your opinions and even still you will come up with some delusional excuse as to why you think MJ sabataged his brothers and is the root of all evil. I don't care to go back in forth (because I know it will be like talking to a brick wall) but I just wanted to say this much at least. [Edited 9/28/15 13:32pm]

It's IRONIC that the beautiful, talented, billionaire Janet Jackson is NOW the sole SUPERSTAR of the family.Plus moved herself to Saudi Arabia safely from her family of leeches.
I bet you only Katherine has her main residence number. Just like Mj use to do.

[Edited 9/28/15 13:32pm] Ive been watching delusiion firsthand since 1987, for the past quarter century where someone in their 20s who didnt become a fan of this man until the 90s, mid 90s think they KNOW more than someone who watched this whole thing go down the tubes and a group of fans who choose to uphold the lies like they on some crusade when they are being led to the abyss Its the lies that caused all this flack We did not have these concerns as fans before the 80s hit. We saw it all at the highest level When the fans of today who uphold the lies stop upholding the lies, then we can get somewhere and learn a lesson so nothing this tragic to a man with that much talent will ever happen again The lies have destroyed what should have been the greatest story ever told

^ But what does someone's age have to do the fact that you are an ex-MJ fan who hates Michael? None of that justifies that your opinions are just that, opinions. Did you bother to read any of the facts that have been posted about the publishing and royalities? Probably not because you do not care about that. You don't care about the facts. You just care about asserting your delusions and hatred for MJ. You can sit here all day long and talk about back in "your day" but the fact of the matter is... you don't like Michael anymore. Your clearly not a fan. I wish you stop perpetuating that dislike on others having the problem when it is really you. People don't have to mold their opinions to your liking. Again, this has nothing to do with upholding lies, someone's age or whatever twisted delusion you think. These are all opinions. The fact that you can't even address the information someone presented that pretty much debunks your claims regarding the Jacksons publishing is sad. Are you that blinded by your hatred for Michael Jackson that you can not maturely admit when you clearly have been misinformed?
