Many people don't realize what kind of sick, depraved hyenas celebs have to put up with. It's even worse for child stars. Hell, Mike didn't even have a childhood and often spoke about how deeply that affected him.

We will never know the price that some people have paid for fame. Makes me feel like crying all over again.

Michael cried over it his whole life especially in his later decade, he could not trust in anyone,he felt betrayed by everyone. Except his children. He lived in a hell really in such a hell.

Fame is extremely overrated.

I know quite a few celebs and quite a few rich people who aren't "known".

The latter lead a much higher quality of public life. It's not even close.

nod another way to look at this: how many Jacksons album did they record without Michael? I know they did one in the late 80s but it wasn't exactly a huge success. If they had done the Victory Tour without Michael, who would have shown up to the shows? smile

Let's be real we know Micheal was the lead dog as vocalist but let's not act like Micheal always been a sure thing as a solo artist. His debut albut album was a smash but the 3 follow up solo albums at

Motown were just mundane. In fact some of the material were remakes as that was the Motown way

back then. Micheal wasn't even relevant as a solo artist again for almost a decade until he went

to Quincy Jones. Quincy Jones is just as responsible for putting grown up MJ on the map as MJ

himself.

Agree

He was already a superstar in the Jackson 5 before his adult solo album. I am not sure why people are bringing up Michael's brothers or producers when this discussion has been talked out to death. None of those things changes the fact that Michael was a unique talent. It is almost as if people keep bringing up these unnessesary things to justify that fact like its hard for some to acknowledge that Michael was a rare type of talent. Oddly everyone has given credit where credit is due and nobody never insisted Michael may it out of Gary on his own, even that other poster never insisted it. People have just said that Michael's talent compared to his other siblings was rare... which IS true and that he was the superstar of the Jackson 5 which IS also true.

but nobody can realistically say without the jackson 5 mj could have still made it, you would have to change the entire trajectory of his life. michael had a father who played guitarand older brothers who taught themself to play instruments while singing around the house, the daddy finds out his sons have talent and decides to make them a group, little mj wanted to sing with his brothers, he shows that he could also sing. the father makes a group, rehearses them, prepares them and when the time came for their big break they were ready. if you take away all of this you would not have the michael jackson that became the king of pop.

But that is YOUR opinion which you are entitled too. I don't see anything wrong with someone making a prediction of what could have been. Michael was a unique talent so I think anything is possible. Who knows? Michael could have possibly been discovered a different way. These are all opinions at the end of the day which means there is no right or wrong. We obviously can't change history and the reality of what DID happen. However, I don't like the idea of people scolding others for their opinion. He never said it was a fact nor did he try to rewrite history with insisting MJ made it without J5. I just think some people feel threatened about the fact that Michael was the most talented in the family.

Its never about him being the most talented, talent alone is not enough alot of things has to happen to make it to that level. nothing i said is an opinion its all facts because thats what happened. there are alot of really talented people all over the world who never make it, michael jackson had an incredible foundation to stand on prior to becoming a solo superstar. janet was never part of the jackson 5 but if she wasnt a jackson she wouldnt have gotten a record deal at 14 and recorded 2 albums as a teenager that wasnt successful, which made her want to branch out on her own and do her own thing. everything that the jackson family has accomplished was built on the foundation of that group the jackson 5.

You keep repeating yourself lol I am not sure why because no one has denied any of this. I never denied any of this but it appears people keep arguing this point as a way to justify Michael's talent.

MJ was the most talented in the family and that also IS a fact. lol NOTHING you say can change the fact that Michael was a special and unique talent. You keeping saying the Jackson 5 set the foundation but no one in here has denied that lol

I never denied that point. I just argued that people are entitled to their opinions even if certain events did not actually happen.

Repeating the Jackson 5 set the foundation for MJ the King of Pop does not change the fact that MJ was and is the most talented in the Jackson family. lol

Agree, no one in here as denied that point. shrug

But it oddly keeps getting repeated and I think its to shade Michael's talent and abilities.

All some said was Michael's talent was unique and special compared to his siblings which is true. I don't see how saying that takes away from the fact that the Jackson 5 set the foundation for MJ (which no one in this thread denied.)

If Michael NEVER got a record deal, his talent and personality still would have been special because God gave him a unique gift. It just so happens he was blessed and his gift touched many people around the world. You dont have to be famous to be blessed with god given talent or gifts. Famous or not, MJ was still a rare talent.
