Great cutouts. I love reading old stuff... arcticles, it's interesting to see the day to day world (well according to the press) living in the moment of Michael's endeavours.

After watching BAD25 I ended up drawing an Off the Wall Mike lol forgive me Michael razz

Hope you don't mind me sharing confused sad Kinda matches my screename lol! But I'm not an Off the Wall junkie, I'm a MJ junkie, every era biggrin

Hey guys! :)those newspaper clippings are from my buddy's website, The Michael Jackson Archiveshttp://www.the-mi....htmlDon't mind the badly done banners that I did when I first started working on Photoshop :lol:the site will hopefully be updated with more soon after he finishes his new book on MJ

I like some of the terrible reviews Thriller got on release. Or the one about Bad saying that MJ wasn't a real legend... "like Lionel Richie". I have no idea where they even got that once from since MJ was known before him and Lionel might have been fresh off of Cant' Slow Down, but was never on the same scale as Michael lol

Those reviews are the most honest before the hype. The media easily swayed like the public.

Can I read it online somewhere? smile

-------

Lady Gaga took part in the auction of Michael Jackson clothing. Gaga has acquired almost all of the most valuable items, spending more than $3 million.
Price jackets that bought Gaga, range from $120,000 to $250,000
Here they are

Yep, Gaga bought 55 pieces that were being auctioned. I'm ok with this because at least we do know Gaga loves MJ.

I think the real outfits did get put in a museum. Gaga probably brought replicas of the same thing created by the same person.

I do not think they would sell REAL clothing that he exactly wore, those are probably replicas. Most of those things they sell are replicas and not the real thing contrary to popular opinion

This jacket was bought for $280,000

and this - for $250,000

Do not you think it's a bit pricey for duplicates? lol

a little later I'll give a link to information about the lots .... they are original.

there were some duplicates, which were made for Michael, but he never wore them ... they cost no more than U.S. $ 20,000

He's supporting a book with questionable "facts" that try to defend Michael but just comes off all wrong.

If people think they are REAL why not price them high?

It makes more sense since people think they are real.

What the hell is the Estate doing? Why didnt they buy the jackets if they were his and he wore them?

Maybe those clothes were intended for him to wear but I highly doubt he wore all 55 jackets. Im sure the Estate would have brought them.

It seems a bit sketchy.

As far as I know they're real. Most of the clothes were put on show in London for a month during September-October. I went to see them and they were clearly well worn and the Dirty Diana shirt from the video still had sweat patches and foundation make-up that had rubbed off on the collar.

I remember one jacket that I really didn't recognise at all as it was labelled as one MJ had worn to "an awards show with Flava Flav" which I really couldn't recall any such photo or award show with them together. The rest were definitely genuine... although one of the photo prints on the wall at the show was a HIStory tour snapshot which was labelled as a performance in New York. I guess Splash News or Getty Images wherever they were from are sometimes wrong.
