Million Trees for Michael " Take care of the planet and love each other, because we are all one." ~ Michael Jackson Welcome to A Million Trees for Michael, which is dedicated to planting trees all over the world in honor of Michael Jackson. In addition to planting trees, our blog and Facebook page concentrates on promoting Love, Kindness, Compassion, Understanding, Appreciation, and especially Unity for all Beings, as Michael taught. We’re committed to carrying on with Michael’s message, spreading L.O.V.E throughout the World. A Million Trees for Michael is a non-profit organization where fans of Michael Jackson can give a gift back to HIM in exchange for the music, the magic, & the memories he has given to us for nearly five decades! ” My name is Trisha Franklin and I am the creator/founder of A Million Trees For Michael Although I loved Michael’s incredible music and his amazing dancing, where I felt a true connection and kinship to him was through his kind, compassionate heart. It was so clear that Michael had a desire to help make the world a better place, and I, too, share that same dream. After seeing “This Is It”, I was inspired to create this project, to honor Michael and keep his memory alive, while also helping our beautiful planet and future generations to come. We have partnered with the oldest environmental non-profit organization in the U.S., American Forests which was founded in 1875. Now fans can plant trees in Michael’s honor for only $1.00 per tree, to give a gift back to Michael for everything he has given to us to enrich our lives. Our hope is to have “Michael Jackson Memorial Forests” in as many countries as possible, on every continent, as Michael was so beloved all over the world. In the past year and a half,A Million Trees for Michael has gained an international team which now ranges from the USA to England and Germany and as far away as Australia. We are now approaching 14,000 fans on our Facebook page, with over 18,000 visitors our website, from all over the World. Everybody knows Michael loved God, nature and trees and we think he would be pleased to see a project like this, dedicated to his memory and honor. Won’t you join us in planting 15 (or more) trees for Michael and our Mother Earth? The Source: http://www.amilliontreesformichael.com/

Michael Jackson fans sentenced for Sony Music hacking

Two Michael Jackson fans have been given suspended jail sentences for hacking into Sony Music's US web servers.

Leicester Crown Court heard James Marks and James McCormick accessed thousands of files.

These included unreleased tracks by Michael Jackson and songs by other artists like JLS.

The hack happened in 2011 but was only confirmed by the record company last March.

The court heard there was a security flaw in the system used by Sony Music to share music with people outside the firm.

Marks and McCormick were not the first to exploit this but they used an adapted programme to speed up the process of downloading files.

The pair claimed they only wanted to gather evidence that some Jackson material released after his death didn't actually feature the singer's voice.

Sony Music has always denied that vocals on some tracks on the posthumous album 'Michael' were done by another singer.

In 2010 the firm paid $250 million (£158m) to Michael Jackson's estate for a seven-year deal for the rights to his remaining songs.

The singer, who died in June 2009 at the age of 50, had recorded unreleased duets with artists ranging from the late Freddie Mercury to Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am.

Online conversations between Marks and McCormick were read out in court in which they talked about selling the material, but this never came to anything.

The case was investigated by the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA).

Head of cyber investigations Mick Jamieson said the men "knew exactly what they were doing, and knew the full implications".

"The internet's a fantastic tool for everyone to use, but sadly there are one or two individuals who choose to misuse it.

"The authorities are now able to to identify what you're doing, find out who you are, and come and arrest you."

Marks, 27, from Daventry, and 26-year-old McCormick, from Blackpool, admitted two counts of unauthorised access to computing materials, and were given six month jail sentences, suspended for a year.

More serious charges against the men were dropped last summer.

Speaking outside court, James Marks said he was sorry for downloading the files but was still determined to prove Michael Jackson didn't sing on some tracks on 'Michael'.

^^^^^^ in CBS article it says

Officials said that music aficionados James Marks, 27, and James McCormick, 26, used their home computers to access Sony's servers and scour them for Jackson-related material. The pair downloaded nearly 8,000 files including completed or partial tracks, artwork, and videos relating to Jackson and other unspecified Sony artists.

Who can blame them LOL. This 10 projects in 7 years- thing Sony got going on....... finger

I think its a CRIME that this tour hasnt been released on DVD yet-I wonder why the PTB dont just release it to the masses? I've seen your posts here Scorp on the Triumph tour, you being one of the lucky people to have witnessed it. biggrin As much as I love the Bad Tour, the Triumph tour sounds and looks like something really special--like it has a totally different vibe and energy from the Victory and Bad concerts. They really need to release this on dvd/blu ray. But until then I'll just have to settle for the crappy quality bootleg versions I downloaded off the internet sigh

excited Sounds amazing!

Along w/you, I was able to witness the Bad Tour....Michael performed in my hometown during the Spring of 1988.....

reasonable ticket prices to boot biggrin biggrin

that show was exceptional.....

when Michael performed Billie Jean, he literally moonwalked across the entire stage, from the very left to the very right during the breakdown segment towards the end, and he never broke stride

but that Triumph Tour, it's absolutely the best show he ever did

that was always my favorite dance move was the spin, and the spins were leading into more spins

this is when he started landing on this toes as well....along w/the Mashed Potatoes

the live performance of Don't Stop til You Get Enough was the highlight of the show

the horns and percussion and bongos fueled the spontaneity of the dance

the show really needs to be released on DVD, for the world not to have that opportunity is an injustice.....

Finally got the Bad 25 DVD (might get the CD next time I go out) and it was really great to see Michael doing it at that stage in his career. He RIPPED it haha smile

They need to seriously release a DVD of the Triumph tour though. I wanna see the Jacksons do the Working Day and Night choreography fully from that period.

If there's something we agree on it's that we both love Mike during the Triumph tour! I really hope they release this on DVD this year, this is Mike performing like a king on stage before the mainstream media start giving all the hype. He was amazing and just so beautiful to look at lol! LOVE the Triumph tour, I'm so jealous you attended the show ,if only I had a time machine lol! My fav tour is probably BAD because of the dancing and the songs, but Triumph has a special place in my heart because of his perfect pitch voice (magical!!!)

How was the video/audio quality on the DVD? I've been wanting to get the Bad 25 DVD but I've been worried about the quality since I heard it came from a VHS tape or something like that. I will get it someday though. Plus I'd like to get those outtakes and the live CD as well so I'll just buy the whole package.

Oh and does anyone know if the Bad 25 has new remasters of the album or are they the same as the 2001 special edition remasters?

I would love to see the Triumph Tour, The Jacksons era is one of my favorites and I love the live album they did so it would be cool to have a DVD of that tour.

For what it is (a VHS source that was remastered frame-by-frame) the video quality is IMO pretty goodThe audio quality (mastered for the original multitracks with stereo and surround sound), however, is phenomenal. For reference, here are some screenshots:

That was funny.
