Hey, PatrickS77, just out of curiosity, are you the same PatrickS77 from over at Janet-Xone.com? The reason I ask is because you kind of seem to have a two-sided view when it comes to her. I'll just say that over there, your opinion of her seems to be a bit...different...than your view of her here on the Org lol I was in the thread over there about Janet gaining ownership of her Virgin Records masters in 2013, and when I saw your screen nick and comments, bells of familiarity went off in my head.

Anyway, about those masters, it seems her contract with Virgin stipulated that seven years after her contract ends, she will gain control of all of her Virgin masters. Seeing as though her last album with the company was in 2006, next year will be seven years after the contract ended, which means that she will be PAID.

And sometimes family is just a cancer you need to cut out. Just because you're born into a family doesn't mean you need to put up with their bullshit. Mike's problem seemed to be that he turned his back on his family for people just like his family members, blood suckers who were only out for themselves. I know a lot of you come from nice, functional families who don't pull shit like this, but some family members think you're supposed to take all their shit and let them bleed you dry just because you all share the same DNA. I wouldn't put up with this behaviour from a stranger or a friend so why should i put up with it from you?

EXACTLY. whenever i think about mj, i think about my mom and her family. she was always bending over backwards for them in the name of family. meanwhile, they wouldn't have pissed on her if she were on fire. always with their hands out, always ungrateful, always thinking she's stupid for being nice. they never saw my mother's kindness as anything but a weakness. i think it was the same for mj.

a recent hollywood reporter story that quoted someone who knew mj said that growing up in the bubble that he did, coupled with his dysfunctional family particularly joe, left mj vulnerable to lots of users b/c he never developed the 'street smarts' that most people do. maybe being around other people helped me to see 'wrong' and 'right', and i came to see my mom's family was all kinds of wrong. malignant stage four cancer, just like you said, and my contact with them is extremely limited. fuck that "family" noise. once i grew up and didn't have to be around them, i wasn't. well, maybe mj was too embedded inside his bubble, or there are too many users in his business that he had fewer positive examples, and was therefore susceptible to all kinds of things. i don't know, but i agree with your post.

The fact that you don't like his music does not mean that it took a dive.

That is the general concensus by critics, evident in lower ratings, and by people, evident in lower sales.

I really don't care what critics think (I love Invincible) and the album was very successful. Sure the album wasn't another Thriller or even Dangerous, but the fact is album sales were already beginning to drop and the album has sold 13 million worldwide. It also debuted number one in the U.S.

Um, since when is this thread about Janet's career?! confuse Janet doesn't have to prove anything about her career or the money she has made. Despite what the tabloids have said about her involvement in this fiasco, it was never related to money...but about family...however misguided her actions... confused

Debatable. HIStory is filler-filled, whilst Invincible is toppled with bubble-gum pop.

So what do you make of Janets last four albums because I think thats a better definition of a complete 180 turn from what she use to make and not in a good way .... All of Michaels albums are pretty solid except Invincible. I could see someone maybe debating Blood on the Dance Floor since it was mostly a remixed album on an exception of a few songs but even all those songs are solid.

We may never know exactly what Janet did. All we know is that she tried to discipline (pun not intended) Paris by taking her phone and then take pictures of Paris. Everything else are lies and speculation

I haven't even made it through listening to either Damita Jo, 20 Y.O or Discipline in one spin. They all, particulary the latter 2, consist of lackluster production and lyrics.

Ah yes, I almost forgot about Blood On The Dance Floor. The remixes are awful, but I enjoy the title track and Ghosts.

Correction: Janet didn't try to "discipline" Paris, she tried to SILENCE Paris. There is a difference. Janet had no reason to "discipline" Paris. However, she had a reason to SILENCE her. Janet didn't want Paris to EXPOSE any more of the scam that she, Randy, Jermaine and Rebbie had perpetrated. That is the ONLY reason that Janet tried to take/snatch Paris' phone. Ironically, Paris wasn't aware that she was exposing a scam and innocently became involved with deception and manipulation by her aunts and uncles-Janet, Rebbie, Jermaine and Randy. Paris was concerned only with the welfare of her guardian/grandmother, Katherine Jackson and Janet & Randy became irrational and desperate. Thus, the ambushing of the children at their home, the controntation of Janet trying to snatch Paris' phone and the taunting and following of Paris while Janet and Randy try to provoke her by taking her photo.

you mean like the lies jermaine and randy told when they said that their mom had had a stroke? no need to call it "speculation" since her lawyer said that katherine laughed out loud when she heard about it.

talk about speculation! you claim that janet was trying to discipline paris by taking her phone. how do you know? isn't free2bme just as accurate to assert that janet's attempt to take the phone was an attempt to silence her?

besides, janet's attempts to "discipline" have been met with such extreme measures, i.e., she's banned from the calabasas property, that you really have to question whether it was really about "discipline" or something else. an aunt who was trying to lead her "wayward" niece would be being given the benefit of the doubt for the way she went about it by other adults, IF THEY WERE CONVINCED OF THE SINCERITY OF HER INTENT. they apparently aren't. paris and prince on their own don't have the clout to convince the estate to ban anyone from the property. however, tj does, and he clearly feels that kicking janet and co. to the curb, at least in the short run, is the best course of action at this point.

Preach! Tell the TRUTH!!! IMO, Paris and Prince, especially Prince, DO have the clout to ban whoever they want from the Calabasas house. It is their house. Prince is the "patriach" of his family-Prince, Paris and Blanket. This 15 year-old is wise beyond his years and his dad,Michael taught him how to be a man, a leader and protector of his sister and brother; because he will one day take over his father's empire.

Thats your opinion... I do not like her last four albums... they all are boring and so uninspiring. The only song I REALLY like from any of those albums is Take Care. I wish she could have stayed with her political and social consicous themes.

Michael has had alot more consistency besides Invincible which is his weakest album but is underrated in alot of ways.

I don't think so. Damita Jo had several gems ("All Nite", "SloLove", "I Want You"), and "Enjoy" from 20 YO is one of her best songs (a little trivia about the track, she said she recorded it the night before Michael's veridict was read, and that she could barely get through it from crying because it reminded her so much of him and what he was going through at the time).

I would first like to start off this tweet by thanking the fans that have always stood by me and my family, my dad really appreciated your support and I still treasure it to this day. As I am sure everyone is well aware of the events that have been going on. I have been holding off on backing up my sister and her tweets avidly because I was waiting for the time to reveal my side. As long as I can remember my dad had repeatedly warned me of certain people and their ways. Although I am happy my grandma was returned, after speaking with her I realized how misguided and how badly she was lied to. I’m really angry and hurt. The following image is of a group chat I had started to several family members. This group text message I had started was replied to but they didn’t know that I could see the responses. For this whole time, they denied us contact to our grandmother. “If you continue with your lies I will continue with the truth”

This is funny, this is the first time seeing this. I haven't been into this story very much because it was a bunch of mess, and knowing the media, I couldn't trust anything that they were reporting.

But I did come across this, while I was thumbing through the thread, and who the hell is "Austin Jackson"? I remember somebody, an MJ fan, called their cousin Austin Brown (son of Rebbie), "Austin Jackson". I wouldn't be surprised if this is referring to Austin Brown. And what's up with this person talking about "Auntie Rebbie" but their other aunt is just "Janet Jackson", they don't call her "Auntie Janet", their cousins do.

This shit is fake. Sometimes you have to get over the emotion of it all, and use your brain. The experience with MJ when he was alive should have been enough to know don't believe everything you read and hear.

And looking at this so-called text, this look fake as hell. Auntie Rebbie, and "Janet Jackson", really? Please.

It's real. It was on Prince's twitter account. Someone in Janet's camp or a delusuional stan "hacked" Prince's account and removed THIS text and replaced it with another in FAVOR of Janet. Prince then went back to his account and re-did his ORIGINAL tweet, the one you posted above, and asked all of his followers to re-tweet this so that it couldn't be hacked again. The funny thing is that Janet and Co. KNOW that this tweet is REAL. After Prince tweeted this, you didn't hear a peep from the crooks-Janet, Rebbie, Jermaine and Randy at all. They fell silent. You can bet your ass that Janet and her co-conspirator siblings know that this 15 year old boy is no push over. I have been saying that Prince was just sitting back, observing what his sister Paris said and waiting for the opportunity to let Janet and Co. have it. These kids know that Janet aint' shit and that is the very reason that he addressed her has "Janet Jackson". They know how she threw their father under the bus with her bullshit "intervention" crap, days after he died. These kids are intelligent and wise. Michael did an awesome job raising them. You can bet your ass that janet and her scam artist siblings are going to think twice before they try to come up with another scam. These kids-Prince and Paris-EXPOSED Janet and the rest for what they are and Janet and Co. were scared shitless when Prince released this tweet. Until this tweet was released, Janet and the rest were just sitting back and ALLOWING Paris to be berated and blamed for what THEY did. Do you wanna bet that they are not going to do Prince like that. Janet KNOWS that she was the one who didn't want those children to get in touch with Katherine-" Don't Let Them Please". Prince's tweet stopped EVERYTHING IN IT"S TRACKS. Janet and Co. have their tails between their legs as they try to do damage control and come up with another scheme for their gullible defenders to fall for.

News/

Diana Ross Weighs In on Michael Jackson Family Drama

Michael Jackson's will expressly stated that, if for some reason, his mother Katherine couldn't care for his children in the event of his death, then he wanted longtime friend Diana Ross to look after them.

That doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon, even though 82-year-old Katherine Jackson lost custody of Prince, Paris and Blanket last week at the behest of grandson T.J., who has been appointed his cousins' temporary guardian.

Ross has finally spoken out, however, in response to a report that she will sign off on a proposed joint custody agreement between Katherine and T.J., which E! News learned yesterday was in the works.

Which of Katherine Jackson's children are banned from her house now?

"All interests are best served if it remains private," read the singer's terse statement in response to the increasingly tangled web being woven around Michael Jackson's children.

Probably so, but the kids' aunts and uncles opted to get from A to B (whatever B is, no one has quite determined) in as public a fashion as possible so far.

Rebbie, Jermaine, Randy and Janet Jackson have demanded that the current executors of Michael's estate step down from their post, claiming their late broth... is a fake and that their management of the estate is taking its toll on their 82-year-old mother.

Everything we know about the Jackson family feud so far

While Katherine was at a resort in Arizona resting up at the behest of some of her grown children, T.J. (who is Tito Jackson's son) was granted temporary custody of Prince, Paris and Blanket—a move that left Katherine, in her words, "devastated."

A source assured E! News, meanwhile, that T.J. is "tight with his grandmother" and didn't make this change to take the kids away from her. They are now "trying to protect the kids from the other family," the insider said.

Jackson Family Feud: Katherine Jackson Blames Randy For Pushing Janet

July 31 | Posted by Popular Critic

The latest update on the Jackson family feud shows that a unity concert isn’t enough to bring the family together. The latest news tells of Janet Jackson’s regrets for partaking in a scuffle that allegedly resulted in Michael’s daughter Paris Jackson getting slapped. Since the incident Janet and her siblings are banned from their mother’s home.

Michael Jackson’s estate has acknowledged it has limited some relatives’ access to the home shared by the singer’s mother and children in the wake of a family feud that turned into a driveway argument last week.

The estate’s statement released Monday afternoon does not specify which members of Jackson’s family are no longer allowed at the home and says the list is subject to change. The statement says an approved guest list was requested by an attorney for TJ Jackson, the son of Tito Jackson who was appointed temporary guardian of the children last week.

“It is imperative to the estate that from this point forward a safe and appropriate environment be provided for Michael Jackson’s children and his mother.”

During the incident Janet allegedly called Paris a “spoiled little bitch” and Paris fired saying: “This is our house, not the Jackson family house. Get the fuck out.”

However, Janet is said to be upset by her actions and how everything spiraled out of control.

A source told RadarOnline: “The public has seen a very different side of Janet this past week, and she has to be regretting following Randy’s advice. Janet is very much like Katherine in that she likes to keep a low profile, and not have family drama play out in the press.”

With Paris reporting everything on Twitter – it’s hard to keep a low profile.

UPDATE: Katherine Jackson, according to a source, is placing all the blame on her son Randy for including his siblings into the takeover at her home and for causing her to lose guardianship and she wants him to stop it – now.

“Katherine was completely unaware that Randy had orchestrated his siblings signing a letter sent to the executors of Michael Jackson’s estate demanding their immediate resignation. Now that Katherine has been home for a few days, she recognizes that Randy was the one that planned this, and she is absolutely furious for him doing so.”

Katherine further pleads for privacy in the matter,

“Katherine is extremely upset and disappointed in Randy’s actions that have brought so much unwanted chaos into all of their lives,” the source added. Saying the Mama Jackson, “specifically told Randy that if he wants to pursue this ridiculous claim that Michael’s will is fake, to remain quiet about it. If Randy does find evidence, which Katherine knows is very unlikely to happen, to take it to court and not play it out the in press.”

Randy may have convinced his siblings that Michael’s will is fake but a judge had already shot him down and the will stands. If, according to Randy, Michael was in New York with Rev. Al Sharpton at the time the will was changed – why is that so hard to prove???

Let’s hope the Jacksons, A. keep their fight private from now on and B. work this out!

First let me say that I think this whole thing is a shame disbelief Secondly, I'll say that it's shameful (but expected) that all of these media outlets are still reporting that Janet slapped Paris and they cursed each other out. It's funny that even though Paris said that Janet didn't slapped her, the media choose to report everything else except that. I guess it's not juicy enough for them to print.

The fact that you don't like his music does not mean that it took a dive.

That is the general concensus by critics, evident in lower ratings, and by people, evident in lower sales.

lol Right. Than why do you spent that much time talking about someone you consider a "has been"?

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

I really don't care what critics think (I love Invincible) and the album was very successful. Sure the album wasn't another Thriller or even Dangerous, but the fact is album sales were already beginning to drop and the album has sold 13 million worldwide. It also debuted number one in the U.S.

I would love to see any other artist selling like that after such a long break and basically with no promotion.

I guess it's not juicy enough for them to print.

lol...yeah,it's funny how that part keeps being repeated in the media, over and over lol

It's funny how lies seems to travel faster than the truth. And when a correction is given, it doesn't matter.

That was just one album boo eek

Debatable. HIStory is filler-filled, whilst Invincible is toppled with bubble-gum pop.

You seem to contradict youself. Before you wrote:

"That is the general concensus by critics, evident in lower ratings, and by people, evident in lower sales."

And now you are trying to claim that History was not as good, not as successful. Has anyone ever told you that History is the biggest selling double album and Blood on the Dancefloor the biggest selling remix album? Obviously, the people and lower sales have proved you wrong.
