La Toya Jackson is at the center of a new OWN reality series.

OWN has ordered a reality series that centers on singer La Toya Jackson.

Titled "Life With La Toya," show will give viewers an up close and personal look at Jackson's lifestyle as she juggles the many demands of her famous family, finding time for lifelong friends and dealing with a growing entertainment business empire.

Series, to be produced by World of Wonder with Ja-Tail Television, is set to premiere in 2013. Exec producers are Jackson, Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Jeffré Phillips and Charles Cook.

Bailey and Barbato have worked with the cabler before, serving as exec producers on docu "Becoming Chaz" - the transformation of Chaz Bono from a woman to a man.

Jackson is the fifth child of a family that consists of nine siblings.

"I am so pleased to be working with television legend Oprah Winfrey and to be a part of the OWN family," Jackson said. "This will be one of the most exciting adventures of my life."

OWN co-president Sheri Salata said the docuseries had been in development for months, while adding, "We are delighted to work with La Toya to bring this new show to OWN viewers."

A little-known Jackson family member strongly supports making Katherine and TJ Jackson co-guardians of Michael Jackson's children: Tanay Jackson, TJ's half-sister.

"My brother would make an ideal father for the kids," she told ABCNews.com. "He knows how to be a father. He's been doing it for a while, and it's been in him from the beginning."

Lawyers for Katherine, Michael's mother, and TJ, the 34-year-old son of Michael's brother, Tito, are expected to file a request for joint guardianship in a Los Angeles court this week. Last week, Perry Sanders, an attorney for Katherine, said "If the court grants this joint request, it will eliminate concerns such as the ones triggered by the events of the last few days," referring to Katherine's recent trip to Arizona. TJ was appointed a temporary guardian of Paris Michael, Prince Michael, and Prince Michael II in Katherine's absence. He has been integral in the kids' lives for years.

Tanay called co-guardianship a "better idea" than having Katherine or TJ parent alone.

"At first I was saying that TJ should take guardianship because he's a good father and the kids like him and it would be a good way to let my grandma get a rest," she said. "But she's very fond of the kids and she's been raising them. This is a good idea. She'd still get to raise them and then she'd get some sort of backup."

The last time Tanay saw TJ, he was preparing for the birth of his first child. TJ is married and now has three children.

"He was having his first child, and he just had that demeanor," she said. "He was just like a father, like 'No, sit here, do this, this is the right way' -- he just has that characteristic about him."

Tanay hasn't seen TJ in years, in part, because of her strained relationship with the Jackson family. Her mother was never married to Tito, and in 2009, Tanay filed a petition in Brooklyn Family Court to declare that the former Jackson 5 member is her father. The outcome of the petition was not made public.

Earlier this week, Taryll, TJ's brother, tweeted "Tanay Jackson is NOT related to us." Today, his brother Taj tweeted, "my brothers and I DO NOT have a half sister."

"I haven't seen them in a long time," Tanay said. "TJ was cool with me. Taryll and Taj were not.

They're probably trying to keep their loyalty to their mom -- she's deceased and I have a different mom."

Delores Martes Jackson was the mother of TJ, Taryll, and Taj. She was murdered by a boyfriend in 1994, a year after she divorced Tito. Her sons went on to form the R&B group 3T.

Tanay's also in the business. Her latest single, "The Spotlight," is available on iTunes now, and she has plans to pitch a reality show "about me and what I'm going through."

i never said i had a stake in the will, 'cause obviously i don't, but neither do janet and her brothers, yet they seem to be damn sure intent on getting some. hell, at this point, i would have just as much a reason to try to get a piece of the action. i have about as much a chance as they do, right?

i'm commenting on these events, just like you are. since janet and co. decided to put their business in the streets, i'm free to have an opinion on it.

i hope janet and co. aren't holding their breath waiting for the two johns to step down. when and if the jacksons prove that the execs have mismanaged the estate, then my opinion will change. i doubt that's going to be anytime soon. or haven't you noticed that two of the original signatories have already bailed? if there were any proof at all, they wouldn't be trying to divert the attention to anything they can think of besides that letter. also, to the extent that mj gave them the authority to dole out the money as the executors saw fit, not as the beneficiaries see fit, no the money does not belong to kat and the kids in any real sense.

i don't know about the machinations of the press, but i certainly know how to read a will and court docs. i also know that everything i wrote in my post is true. to reiterate: there are lies in that letter, the siblings don't have any proof of wrong doing whatsover on the execs (there would be no need for tito or jermaine to disavow it if that were the case), the execs have turned the estate around in addition to providing kat with over $6 million for her personal use not to mention the $2 million she gets for mj3, the siblings have put their mother's guardianship in danger AND. . .

i never said janet herself didn't have a home. i said janet can't enter her mother's home, which is absolutely true. she cannot step foot on that property. tj, in consultation with mj3, asked the estate to enforce that, according to tj's lawyer. the estate wouldn't be doing this if the FAMILY didn't ask for it. or do you not consider tj jackson to be part of the family?
