As Superbowl Halftime shows go she did her job.

The Vogue graphics were eye catching.

But she lypsanc. A lot. That's always unforgiveable.

I would have rather been forced to watch the Lana Dey Rey SNL performance again.

Madonna did look great though! And she looks super pretty and young in her new video. My bf commented that the other two ladies looked older and more worn than Madonna. neutral

What's so crazy about this all is that the media are going to pump her ego up as always and not report it like it truly is...IT SUCKED! Plain and simple. She has a lot of nerve to have the attitude she has for such minimal talent. I like some of her music from the 80s but she has never deserved being mentioned in the company of Prince, The Boss, MJ, Elton John or any other artists from that time. Cyndi Lauper kicks her ass!

that's is something i will give both madonna and bruce, at least they did their new music unlike prince

True, even though Madonna's new song sucks at least she did play her new material although she is also trying to promote it.

The one thing I was most disappointed in Prince's half time show was that he did covers and should've done some of his own guitar heavy songs. I would have killed to hear either "electric chair" or "bambi".

again another thing i will acknowledge about madonna, she knows how 2 do business and promoting

as 4 prince's set ..HELL YEAH with either bambi or electric chair

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

It was awesome, and most of the rest of the world thinks so too, so obviously the org is going to trash it. Predictable. rolleyes

It was a completely lip synced performance with zero focus on musicality. Why wouldn't people who like one of the worlds greatest pop musicians/live performers trash it?

M.I.A. looks great but I was distracted with her costume. I was never impressed with Nicki looks wise. She always looked like a clown.

I will say it was smart for Prince to do covers, cause he was reaching out to the general public not his fans. Its a superbowl performance after all not a P concert.

Lets face it she ousted Princey boy yet again when it comes to putting on a show. I think U will find that other neutral sites will be praising that wonderful performance.

This post is either bait or a joke. Can you please explain on what points Madonna's performance was better than Prince's performance, which is widely regarded on "neutral sites" as one of if not the best Superbowl performances ever?

Prince done covers for starters......

I've never found MIA attractive and I found out in first year that people insulted me by telling me that I looked like MIA (a lot of people think she's ugly). After the rhinoplasty, no one has bothered me about it!

15 minutes of Barry Manilow covers would beat that new Madonna song.

Also, the general Super Bowl audience would have no idea what the hell was an "Electric Chair". He had done covers for a while so I expected it. I didn't mind the covers at all. Prince don't even perform his new music in concert that much to the general public because he was smart to know what they want...

"Well produced" shouldnt be almost an obligation, given the importance of the event and the fact that someone was very well paid to do it?

ooops...except that the performers of the Halftime are not paid 4 the performance

The artists aren't. The NFL doesn't have a 10 million dollar bridgestone sponsership for the half-time performance because no one is paid. The artists dont need to be because they'll see the benefits thru the guaranteed sales jump they'll get. Many people are brought in as volunteers, but thats just the lower wrung. These productions can be very costly.

Change it one more time..

Believe it or not although covers are a safe bet for the Superbowl crowd, many people I hang with who are not into P at ALL love those songs and say they are the only songs of his they can stand. I'm not saying play the whole thing, but it being incorporated would definitely have been better than hearing his version of "the best of you".

I guess but Prince made his own rules of what he probably thought suited the Super Bowl. Technically people cheered the loudest when he did his own songs.

It's a cheat.

It's inauthentic.

Anybody can do it.

It ain't real.

It's fake.

It's lazy.

It's inappropriate for a "live" performance...

Exactly. I've seen almost evey popular video of her's back in the 80's. "like a virgin" "express yourself" "papa dont preach" ect

But I always ened up having this blank stare at the end of each video like "wtf did i just watch"?

I damn sure dont know why they try to put her on par with MJ lol
