GONE TOO SOON is the decoumentary produced by Ian Halperian and is based on his investigative book into MJ's life. The documentary is rather harmless and at based most on conjecture rather than facts. For all his hype and bluster leading up to the book release, the "documentary" is pretty weak and doesn't really offer anything new aside from people "close" to MJ offering their opinions on things.

For all of Halperian's claims to have cracked the inner sanctum of Jackson's camp, there is nothing terribly revealing in either the book or documentary.

The best bet would be searching for it on Ebay. 2009 and 2010 was a flood of rare Michael magazines they don't sell it now.

Anyway..Mike sound awesome as usual..cant say the same about Gibb but he tried. The song itself is not bad...I dont think Gibb pulled it off well and may have needed some tweaking. Mikes vocals were on point.

I'm reading Frank Cascio's book at the moment and am 3/4 of the way through (I'm up to the Invincible recodings)

It is interesting and gives you a little bit more of an understanding of MJ, but like all these books or documentaries done by friends or family, it does feel a little self serving in places.

Once I've finished it - within a day or so, I'll post more detailed thoughts and if it's worth getting.

Many years back I did my own compilation CD of BAD using all the extended mixes of the singles, and packaged it up with this cover. I always loved this shot but you can understand why Sony baulked at it.

I really love that cover of the pre cover of BAD but I understand why they didnt go along with it. I think a cover like that would have been more fitting for the History album. It was dark and Michael was coming for alot of people on that album! It would have been a much better cover than the statue

Not really, it just didn't fit with the album and what Michael was going for. The album had a harder edge than Thriller and the title...."Bad" and that shot do NOT fit together

ALTHOUGH....I think it would work for the upcoming anniversary edition of Bad as a image on a box set
