I agree even though I don’t feel bad for the doctor because he was just looking at the money so he deserve jail but at the same time I wished Michael made better decisions. Both people involve in this situation lost and it’s tragic.

well, true, people do get a little worked up about things. Y eah I agree much of it is a distraction. The question is, does someone want us to be distracted, or do we want to be distracted ourselves? My Legacy

My only regret is that Murray has become the Lee Harvey Oswald of the entertainment industry.
Yes, he is found guilty and must be punish immediately. But lets not forget that there were many people that wanted Michael dead and quite frankly, I still piss that those MFers got away with murder while Murray is THE only one going to jail for it.

MJ was very close to his nieces and nephews when they were little. Its more sad knowing it was a niece instead of LaToya. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

Murray was not the fall guy. But he sure as hell wasn't the only one that wanted to hurt Michael neither.

and this is what OUTRAGED me. many patients have blind trust for medical professionals. I have given COUNTLESS medications to patients. Very few have ever asked me what was I giving them...was it the correct amount... was I sure it wasn't for their roommate. They just blindly and trustingly take what I give them.
That is SUCH A SOBERING responsibility. If you betray that trust by accident... that is bad. It is unthinkable to betray that trust ON PURPOSE AND FOR GREED. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

I have mixed feelings about this verdict. While I could easily see how some people can claim Dr. Murray was grossly negligent in his duties and oath as a doctor, I don't like the attiutude of MJ's fans making him out to be some kind of monster which he is clearly not. He was, however, an enabler to an addict, and for that reason alone he should have been more judicious in his duties as a doctor.
But as some others have mentioned, the whole episode can't really be evaluated without looking at the big picutre. First of all you had Michael Jackson, a mega-pop superstar who hadn't been relevant on the pop charts for several years, who spent money like there was no tomorrow and owed tens of millions of dollars to various creditors due to his lavish spending on his extravagant lifestyle. Add to that fact that he was addicted to painkillers and had been addicted to painkillers since the mid-1980's and had a long history of surgery and other medical procedures since that time. It was also noted by his family and friends that Michael had seen several doctors in order to get prescriptions for Demerol, Profopol, and other painkillers, some who whom acquiesed to his demands and others who balked at him believing he needed rehab.
In addition, he was about to have his Neverland ranch foreclosed on, so he had to make some quick money to save his assets, so he arranged to do a 21 night stay ay the O2 arena in London with AEG, who fronted the money to put up his concerts and also paid Conrad Murray to be his personal doctor for the tour. Michael had promised to tour several times in the past but kept reneging or postponing his tour plans, so AEG made a concerted effort to keep Michael on a tight schedule so they would have their concerts and get the money back they advanced to him in the first place.
As for Dr. Murray, he already had thriving cardiology practices in Las Vegas and Houston and was up until that point considered to be an ethical doctor. He actually stood to lose a lot of money by abandoning his practice and becoming Michael's personal doctor, so that's why AEG offered him such a huge contract in the first place. Now you can discuss till the cows come home whether or not Dr., Murray was criminally negligent, but it was obvious that he broke with accepted AMA protocol in the treatment of Michael Jackson which by itself may have been grounds for malpractice.
The real tragedy in this case was that a pop superstar and father of three young children was taken from this earth too soon yet didn't need to die. But so many people were exploting his talent and weaknesses to make a whole lot of money at the expense of his humanity.
And as Al Sharpton said on MSNBC, hopefully this whole episode will expose not just addicted celebrities, whether they are high profile entertainers or athletes, or even the shady doctors who enable them, but the whole apparatus of groups trying to make a buck off of people's talents and skills.

It seems like you can't trust NOBODY. He definitely put a bad name to the medical system and we all know he's far from the only one to do this. Then you wonder why people don't want doctors, especially black folks, not trying to discuss a different topic but you know, just stating a point.

Essentially Michael Jackson handpicked a desperate man to serve his needs. This is an elaborate suicide. Exactly, both men made a choice and sold their souls to their respective devils, Mr. Jackson lost his life and Mr. Murphy is going to loss his freedom. One wonders will officials look into those who turned a blind eye to Mr. Jackson's "shopping for drugs". I doubt it, this is tragic situation.

And what's even more sad is that up to the very end, Conrad felt he did nothing wrong. A man is dead from a drug that should have never been administered outside a hospital setting and you did nothing wrong? Pitiful, just plain pitiful! I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY.
