I mean on one hand...MJ was given some justice, but otoh someone's entire livelihood is destroyed. Not to say that his bad decisions weren't his undoing, but it's sad either way. I really don't what happened or wtf was going on his head at the time, but I hope that he finds his way and makes some sort of peace with himself and realize what was going on in his life that made him committ such awful mistakes in the first place. I imagine if he does get sentenced and is released that he won't have a ton of options. He might forever be known as the doctor that killed MJ.

Might? He IS known now as the man who killed Michael. Something he wasn't going to escape. I said that two years ago.

Wish they would.

But nothing will happen to him, he'll be protected in there. Those type of high profile murders are usually pampered in jail. confused

Asshole needs to rot in jail and never come out of it.

MJ finally got justice. I'm happy for him and his family, friends & fans.

People become jaded. I know I have. I have campaigned for a candidate in the freezing cold putting out signs in people's yard... only to have an opponent take those signs down.

And after it is all said and done... same thing... different players. confused

Well when I prayed too, I knew this was going to be more than about MJ if there was a guilty verdict. If he is an incompetent person, he could harm more people and it would send out the wrong message to others like you all are saying. I really pity him too cause I believe he's mentally ill, but I don't feel like he deserves a second chance or to get away with it and there was too much fishy behaviour happening to just use this as an excuse, and if you do the crime, you do the time.

I know he will be protected too when locked up, but it was funny joking about the inmates

I agree. They probably put him in solitary confinement if he's sentenced to those four years, then protect him from sudden danger.

I remain incredibly sad that Michael Jackson is gone, but I don't get any joy out of seeing Conrad Murray going to jail. Nevertheless, my hope is that now that the verdict is in; everyone involved with this case, including family, fans, and friends of all those involved, can find closure. And may Michael Jackson be resting in eternal peace.

People spend much more time and attention on a variety of stupid reality shows. lol
The fact that the public has paid little attention to the court in the case of the death of MJ - is quite normal.
Michael certainly means a lot and was loved by tens of millions of people around the world. wink

I'm not defending Murray. He did a horrible thing. But look at it for just a monent in this way.

You have a famous and rich client who will pay anyone to get what he wants. In Hollywood and in the music business this is not unheard of.

Then you have someone offering you a massive amount of money a month, more money than you have ever seen or will ever see.

Then the person offering you this opportunity is one of the biggest stars of the world. Working for him would not only pay you now, but could open untold doors in the future.

What would YOU do?

Murray deserves jail. He'll never work as a doctor again. He never received any money from the Jackson estate. He has to pay off his legal team. He is disgraced forever.

He doesn't deserve death. He was incredibly ignorant and negligent. He is suffering for it now.

Maybe later he writes a book and a host of MJ fans will buy it just to burn every page.

But how many others contributed to MJ's death, including MJ himself? Should Papa Jackson also be put on trial for f*ing up Michael's head for 50 years?

It's truly a tragedy. MJ seemed like an incredibly miserable and unhappy person whose only joy was his own children and his music. Like so many celebrities before him, the media and the public cannot look away from the train wreck about to happen.

Michael, may you find the peace in death that you could never find in life.

I'm weird about it, I'm laughing one minute though I know it's not right, and very sad the next cause this is the closure I needed to admit he's really dead. But I'm also the kind of person who has to use humor to get through stress or I'll go crazy, so it's more for myself than anyone else, and I'm sure other fans experience similar emotions.

Honestly, I think it points to a much larger problem with the medical community over-prescribing things.

They are actually similar to the political system in that they are influenced by corporate dollars more than they are interested in public welfare.

Plus, c'mon, it's Michael! lol

Yeah it does happen but doctors need to stop being enablers to their celebrity clients because any mistake would result in consequences for them. Least now they won't compare Michael to Elvis since Dr. Nick was found not guilty of prescribing the drugs that killed Elvis.

And the District Attorney is KILLING ME talking about how 3 children lost their "beloved father", when just not that long ago this was the same office that was doing everything in their power to destroy Michael Jackson. SMDH.

I give two shits and a fart about Conrad Murray. You call yourself a doctor and you violate your sacred medical oath for what? Money? Low level fame? Its easy for people to want to blame MJ but what if it were your own family member that Conrad did this to? Bottome line is HE KNEW BETTER, far better than a frail man in constant pain and suffering from addiction. No other non-famous patient would have been treated this way. Conrad wont' really suffer. After his stint in jail is over with, hell maybe even before then, he will write a book. THEY ALL WRITE BOOKS! And he will still come out ahead...financially. Fuck that drug dealin' murderin' ass piece of shit and any doctor who acts like him.

I know, I know but, just as an outsider, someone who hasn't been paying much attention to trials, it's scary to see people posting here that they are sweating and/or crying. Especially when there is so much apathy over our political system (Timmy's comments scare me and sadden me at the same time).

Sure, MJ was a great entertainer and his loss is sad and the fact that a man has been convicted of a crime today is a triumph for justice but Great Jebus! Let's have some perspective here---we got real problems in this world.

Yet, as someone pointed out. Reality shows, celebrity shows and IPads distract us while big corporations continue to slam their big fat d*cks up our arses without any lube. And we keep on taking it. Oh, look over there, a shiny new toy to distract us! lol
