I was calm up till the moment the verdict was read. Now I am crying.

yep. I bet this really puts some kind of finality into the death of Michael Jackson.

Really sad sad tale. It is like a Shakespeare tragedy really.

It seems like it, don't it?

Now all we need is AEG on trial.

and it will be as a corporation.... not criminal.... CIVIL.

That is how you punish corporations.... dollars and cents.

I wonder who's gonna pursue it though? The Jackson family?

I doubt they would be brought to a trial though.

He said that he imagined prisoners excited to meet Michael had he been convicted. I'll try to find a clip.

I know humor is inappropriate at this time... but for some reason, this got a chuckle out of me.

I giggled a little too, though I was crying way more over that trial. It's all over now.

Maybe this will send a message that doctors are supposed to help people, not just prescribe whatever drugs patients think they need for their vague dissatisfaction with their lives (this comment not specifically aimed at MJ)

I think murray will be killed in jail. I feel for katharine jackson having to bury her child and I feel for the kids. This whole thing is just sad-the loss of a great life and the loss of a physician who apparently did try to help less fortunate patients, but just got caught up.

Unholyalliance

I guess this is what you call bittersweet?

I mean on one hand...MJ was given some justice, but otoh someone's entire livelihood is destroyed. Not to say that his bad decisions weren't his undoing, but it's sad either way. I really don't what happened or wtf was going on his head at the time, but I hope that he finds his way and makes some sort of peace with himself and realize what was going on in his life that made him committ such awful mistakes in the first place. I imagine if he does get sentenced and is released that he won't have a ton of options. He might forever be known as the doctor that killed MJ.
