Well, what you say may have been the intentions of those above, the different corporation bosses, but as for the regular folks, I think the guy hits the nail on its head. Plus I¨d put in what's stated in my signature. Remember the movie Amadeus? I think Mike's greatness was something many people couldn't put up with. He reminded them of their averageness. I think many people worked their ego by putting him down, insulting him as if saying "well, maybe I am not as great as you are, but AT LEAST I AM NORMAL." I will never be amazed at how people just WANT Mike to be weird. I wrote a while ago how someone at an anniversary at our work pointed out how they believed that they bet Mike did not become white because of vitiligo and that he surely must have had himself injected with something. You can feel that no matter what, people WANT him to be a freak. It makes them feel better about themselves.

I think the biggest problem MJ faced was that he got so famous that the majority of his fans were people who were CULTURALLY unfamiliar with him and African American people period - and then on top of that he was a creative genius who was never going to be ordinary anyway. So some of the curiosity about him was just curiosity about anything different and MJ was dehumanized in the pursuit of that - by well meaning people as much as those with a more sinister agenda.

But I agree, a whole lot of losers who have never accomplished anything in life take great delight in making MJ out to be a 3 headed Martian so their peaheads look better in comparison.

i believe this as well. i don't think this just popped into mj's head out of the blue with murray. he didn't die before b/c the doctor(s) before did the job right. as the expert dr. shafer testified, he is appalled at how propofol, a perfectly safe and effective drug, has been given a bad name b/c of murray's misuse of it.

yes, the other doctors definitely misused it on mj, too, if they were giving it to him for sleep, BUT the big difference here seems to be murray walking away, not monitoring, talking on the phone when everyone - including mj - knew that propofol has to be monitored.

i don't think mj would be dead if murray had been monitoring him that morning. he might have died later as this was an extreme practice, and as dr. shafer also said, to the extent that there have never been any studies done on the prolonged use of propofol on a nightly basis, i think it's possible that mj could have died from an unknown side effect eventually.

Yeah but from what I've heard and read, LA county jail is not the worst jail. There are other cities that have horrible jails but this isn't one of them. Plus, he probably won't even do 4 years. I'm guessing 2 years incarcerated and the rest on probation.

I don't see the need to knock elvis to build up Mike and the media wasn't the only one to see coincidence. As a fan of both men, I was probably among the first people to see the similarities. I don't know how you would classify Mike's drug intake, we do know he went to treatment before, that he's admitted to being really out of it at times, and ultimately that he relied on drugs that killed him to get some sleep. I tend to agree that Mike wasn't an Elvis but he was far from having a healthy relationship with pharmaceuticals. At the end of the day both men were genius' some of the best america has ever produced and both were equivalent to the other in their eras, Mike will have a harder time being given his due though.

All I did was tell the truth about Elvis. If you weren't alive then, you can certainly Google it now. There certainly weren't people getting on tv fabricating stories about him and releasing fake autopsy reports like what happened in the case of Michael Jackson. There has never been anything like the storm of blatantly false propoganda that was poured out over the airwaves when MJ pased. The sheep are so silly they didn't even take note as the names and types of drugs he was supposedly addicted to changed REPEATEDLY in the media.

What did the Jacksons accomplish? Michael and Janet accomplished things, the other Jacksons NEVER accomplished anything. They're losers who can't arrange the most insignificant thing. The Jacksons are rich? LOL, since when? They don't have a dime. They signed more times for bankrupcy than Madoff extorted clients. eheh! The Jacksons do NOT have a single dime. That means he needed more of the pain meds to deaden the REAL PAIN of his scalp injury so he could go about his normal activities and he sought help to wean himself because MJ and his whole family were always known for being ANTI-DRUGS. That's why Beat It was used in an anti-drug campaign and MJ was the squeaky clean face of it. Drug addicts are escaping intangible/non-physical pain and torment caused by a variety of factors but not an actual physical injury. The kind of junkie/drug addict that the media has tried to make everyone believe MJ was is looking to escape from reality, not from a throbbing scalp that has suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns and reconstructive surgery.

I don't think that is "the race card". The race card would have been if he said something like "Dr. Murray is being convicted because he is black." That is not what he said or meant. I think what he meant is he didn't like seeing the conviction of another black man. This sounds more like pain medication TOLERANCE which is different than addiction.

Addiction means you can't stop even when you are no longer in physical pain.

Maybe it did become addiction with the court cases and the whole controversy. Teena Marie described her prescription pain medications spiralling into real addiction.

She said she discovered that when she took her pain medications, she didn't cry incessantly about Rick James' passing. So she started to take the pills for the emotional pain. Not the correct use for opiates... so that is in fact by definition addiction.

Maybe MJ also had true addiction and when into rehab for it. Rehab is more counseling. It is supposed to help you adopt better coping mechanisms.

Anyhow, regarding the extra rib thing, I'm guessing it would have been relevant because it can cause back/neck pain, and it actually isn't all that uncommon. When I was having neck/upper back issues the first thing my doctor did was order an x-ray to see if I had an extra rib -- my assumption was if I did it would be removed.
