lol this gif you posted is just hilarious. No one is mad, mad that you are still young and still like britney. I used to like her too when i was in highschool.

Stop with the "Mad" or "bitter" crap. Its not even that deep. Its just you don't know what you are talking about and you really don't

[Edited 8/16/11 1:47am]

Yeah, I like Britney. But if you actually read my posts you would know that I think Janet is better. I said that she was. I grew up listening to Britney but I am able to look at her from an objective point of view and realize that she is not a serious artist, nor is she as great as she used to be. I also think that this tribute thing is stupid and that she doesn't deserve it.

But the fact that some people are turning it all into a race thing and that she ripped off Janet is ridiculous. Janet paved the way for a lot of artists including her, doesn't mean she ripped her off. They are completely different artists; trust me, I listen to them both. Britney is a teen artist, whose lyrics aren't deep or anything, she is just for the pure fun of it all which is nice.

So the 'Janet is for grown folks' comment is stupid, too. To be quite honest with you, there are way better artists out there that are better than both of them and who I chose to listen to more so. I think of Janet and Britney as entertainers more than anything else.

&You don't need to get butthurt over the fact that I found one advantage that Britney had over Janet.

Let me explain to you: every person in the world has an energy field around them. Everybody has different energy fields.. you know when you have a good or bad feeling about someone? That's what you are picking up on, their energy. I am very sensitive to other people's energy.. so I realize that Britney was very sexually charged when it came to her energy and presence which is what drew people in. Janet doesn't. She is sexually explicit and very strong sexually but it's not the same thing. Britney didn't have to do that, and moan in her songs and be sexually explicit. Yeah, she does that now, but before, she didn't need to. She was able to be very sexual without trying.

Most people don't realize this. We all subconsciously pick up on each others' energy but I am very sensitive to them so I pay a lot of attention to these things. Janet doesn't have sexual energy. You understand?

Britney was marketed as a sex symbol from the beginning, but Janet wasn't. Maybe what you are trying to say is that Janet tried to overcompensate by having sexy songs and moaning, or think Janet being in touch with her masculine side (not you necessarily, but others) isn't considered sexy when I'm sure there is a portion of women who admired that about her.

wall Like, are you reading what I'm saying? Britney had sexual energy. Blah blah blah blah blah the clothes, the image, the femininity, the masculinity, the lyrics, the music, the choreography, the marketing, NONE OF THAT SHIT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. Is this so hard to understand????

It's just your opinion, didn't say she wasn't marketed as sexy, she was just coming off that way at a younger age than janet was

It's not an opinion it's an energy that was felt by other people. It has nothing to do with marketing; yes, she was marketed as a sex symbol but the way she did that was very different from Madonna or Janet's sexuality. Madonna and Janet were strong in their sexuality and put it right in front for all to see. They were strong in their sexuality. They used it in a very blatant manner. This has nothing to do with marketing.

Britney, however, lingered between the innocent and the sexual side. She teased people with it. She had a strong sexual presence but she played with it in subtle ways which is what drew people in and made them want more. It's a completely different thing. Marketing, opinion, whatever. None of that stuff has anything to do with it.

She was seen as innocent cause of her Disney background and was quoted saying she didn't want to be like another Deborah Gibson or something like that when criticized for her Rolling Stone spread. Sounds like she didn't want to be seen as teen pop though she simply was.

People didn't pay a lot of attention to her disney days, she was a kid first of all, second of all she didn't become famous off of disney. She wasn't a househould name till baby one more time.

I can't even with this anymore. An energy/presence is what I'm talking about, it has nothing to do with anything else. If you go back in time during her prime and strip everything away from her, she still has the sexual energy/presence that I'm talking about. It's a natural thing, some people are sexually magnetic and sexuality is very natural to them without thinking about it. That's what Britney was. She was teen pop, though, yes. That was the point. The had both sides to her. This is not very hard to grasp. Janet was better than her in almost every way, except for this one thing. I'm simply stating why so many people flocked to her, why people were so fascinated with her. That is why. We are all energetic beings, and her energy was unique. She had that certain quality. Stop talking about magazine spreads, image, lyrics, music, whatever, none of that means anything to what I'm saying. It's so simple why don't you understand?

One, Being pretty has NOTHING to do with sexual energy. If that is what you are saying she gave off. Like most pop tarts she was as unconvincing as a unmoving doormat... seriously, I thought Brittany was very pretty to be honest I still think she IS even though now she looks like she is about 40. However, I never got a natural sexual aura about her if that is what you insisting.

Two, WHYYYYYYYYY are you guys comparing Janet with Brittany???? mad

No, you're right, it has nothing to do with it. But yes, she did definitely have a sexual presence. Now, if we're talking about today, then no, she absolutely doesn't.

I have no idea why she's being compared to Janet disbelief.

Some people might feel she was just attractive and that she didnt have a natural sexual aura about her though AND then vice versa because they are two different things.

One thing is for sure, her attractiveness of course was apart of her market and success LIKE with most pop stars.

I didnt get a sexy aura from her in her prime... I got a more good girl innocent appeal but maybe thats just me shrug

In real life especially, if you see her, you can feel a definite presence. She definitely had stage presence and a strong, sexual aura. I definitely felt it.

But yes, being pretty is a completely different thing. But she was pretty too.

I like Britney and a couple of her Bubble-Gum Hits...But a Tribute segment? I don't think so...Beyonce has NEVER received a "Tribute segment" on any awards show.. Beyonce winning Awards for "Best Selling Artist/Female" on the National & International level is NOT the same as getting a "Tribute Segment"...

Britney recorded less and less in recent years. Her personal life has been surrouned by DRAMA of her own creation. I'm glad she's re-gaining Control of her life but I'd give a Tribute segment to Brandy before Britney. And Brandy hasnt earned that honor yet...

1) Yes she has

2) How? Blackout (2007) Circus (2008) Femme Fatale (2011) - That's 3 albums in a 4 year gap

3)

Beyonce had a career already with Destiny's Child, she was a teen then and the debut was not a big seller. She was already an adult when her debut was released and had experience in the industry and was accomplished, not the same.

Raven Symone is an example of a black disney girl who did not have high album sales despite having a successful show, and did not make headlines like her white counterparts on disney.

So what if their exact paths are not identical? Would it take away from Britney somehow if she had started in a girl group?

Google "Innosense". There were plans for her to be part of a girl group in the mid 90s.

just because you are a brit fan doesn't mean everyone on here is. For the most part the prince org has an older age range which is why i like this forum. So you won't have that many brit fans.

you are right 2007 is over and people are past britney spears and to top it off she looks like she is not into the music or entertaining anymore.

this is coming from someone who WAS hardcore brit fan. I just out grew her and then she can't dance anymore. I feel fans are still trying to hold onto the past.
