Really. After going out of her way to condescend and undermine Aaliyah's fame and star power, now she wants to create a celebratory thread in her honor because it's the anniversary of her death. My guess is that this was just an attempt to be the first one here to do it.

Who is Dawn Richard?

She was such a pretty girl and could have been a bigger star. My daughters grew up on her music and used to wear their hair over their eyes like her. I feel for her mother and father and know it had to be hard losing a child.

^ Yeah.

Her death actually still shocks me. I can still remember what I was doing the night (or early morning) it was announced that she was dead. Around 3 am EST while Gorillaz' "Clint Eastwood" was playing on MTV. My whole reaction was "what?!"

Yep. She was in full blown rehearsal for her performance (We Need a Resolution) at the 2001 VMA's before her passing. She was also supposed to present an award that night.

Definitley. To my knowledge, they were scheduled to continue the video shoot for one more day, but Aaliyah wanted to go home a day early (most likely because she missed Dame). Had they left some stuff behind...
