May Ms. Amy Winehouse find peace in death that appeared to elude her life. I always think of the people who knew and genuinely loved a person who've lost their struggle with whatever, painful. My condolences to Ms. Winehouse family and friends. dove

I got the news about it THERE^ just moments ago. This is tragic, without question.

But lets us be real for a moment. I'm not surprise about Amy's death TBDH (no pun intended). This is the same woman that once dare sang a song that mocked the idea of going to Rehab, despite that it was her on-agan, off-again drug problem that marked the beginning of her end.

Yeah! Prince warned her about her live style 4 years ago... some people just don't listen.

You think Prince was the first or only one to "warn" her about her problems? Please, a bunch of people (ppl she knew and didn't know) advised her to get help. That's what "Rehab" was all about. Who cares what the "all-knowing" Prince said to her??! This is about Amy; let's not turn it into something dealing with Prince.

we all were just waiting for that to happen right?

we are all sort of waiting to die.

i wonder what that business with her website and the death threats was about and if it is/was related to her demise.

RIP amy

Her last concert was in my country in Serbia Belgrade.

after the disaster show Chelsea Holden made fun of her and my

country on late with Chelsea

but i don't mind Chelsea because she was busy acting in

soft porn early on in her career and she didn't learn that guy who invented electric energy

was a serbian dude called Nikola Tesla

Ah! Do you feel better now? Someone who writes, records and releases a song called "Rehab" and flaunts her addiction, is certainly not really trying to get rid of any addiction! So therefore, I can't really feel sorry for her! I feel sorry for her parents and friends, who stood by and could do nothing about it.

I'll remind you she has checked HERSELF into a rehab clinic at least once in the past so she knew she had probs. Let people mourn now...

Don't worry about it, you advise someone that they're being ignorant, but because they are ignorant, they just go on to display it further.

Actually, she has been in rehab, of her own volition. It is said that she had been clean of drugs for nearly 3 years and was now being helped to kick alcohol too (a common thing for those who've suffered with addiction, they substitute the drugs with alcohol). Alcohol was banned on her recent tour. It did look as though she was going to get through it. Unfortunately, she hasn't. Of course, we still are yet to know the cause of death.

That's not going to stop any heartless idiots gloating though, is it? confused

Here's a sampler video of her goddaughter's new album, sometimes you can really hear Amy in her voice:

I feel so sorry for this girl, she's said the Amy she knows isn't anything like what the media has portrayed.

I'm thinking out loud: does ANYONE really beat drug addiction? I don't care if you're famous or not, I'm seeing for real - and should've - that drug addiction is really a hard thing to overcome. You can be off cocaine for 20 years and then be high on some shit like Demerol for 15 years. Plus girl also had an alcohol problem. You can't easily defeat addiction no matter how many warnings you get. The brain triggers something in you when you take drugs.

Its not really that simple - and, yes some people do actually beat addiction.

Not everyone who uses drugs gets addicted, in much the same way as not everyone who drinks becomes an alcoholic. But those who do develop problems with substances do, naturally, find it very difficult to come off them. But, its certainly not impossible.

Also, you often find that addicts have an alcohol problem - alcohol is one of the easiset drugs to get due to it being legal and almost constantly surrounds you, so its all too easy to make that a replacement for the drugs you're trying to kick.

Neither do Trolls. But try to understand, this is what they do. shrug Many find memorial threads irresistible, with so many raw emotions already on the line - ripe for the picking. Memorial threads are a Trolls paradise. Still, the best recourse is to not feed or honor them with a response.

Too true. I have family members who are addicts and friends who struggle with loved ones who are addicted. Yes, someone with an addiction can overcome it...but the temptation is always there. Unfortunately, that never goes away...

So very sad that the world has lost this very talented lady. So very sad she lost her way in the world. My thoughts are with her poor parents - may God give them strength.

I was very priviledged to see Amy singing 'Love is a losing game' accompanied by Prince on the guitar at Indigo2 in 2007. A truly memorable performance that I will never forget.

A sad sad day cry

eek eek eek

sad sad sad

First of all: RIP pray

I never thought this could happen, I tought she had already hit rock bottom some years ago (circa 2008-2009). At worst, I thought her career was over, but who knows if she would have made a REAL comeback in 2012 or something, free of drugs...and with a decent/good enough album...

this is sad, she was so young...

Please have some respect. Dispite her problems and what you feel about that...Amy's parents have just been told their daughter is dead ... they can be no greater loss that that of your child. So please spare a moment to think of the heartache they are feeling before you disrespect their daughter.
