To quote myself from the other thread:

She's too old to be singing shit like this.

Someone needs to tell her to GROW UP. Jay needs to have a long hard conversation with his wife.

and Swizz needs to learn to lay off the snare drums a bit. I KNOW this has to be a Swizz Beats track. It sounds like most of his other shit. He should have abandoned this sounds after he did Eve's "Tambourine".

Better yet, someone needs to tell Swizz Beats to f*** off and stick with making beats with rappers. lol

Whatever happened to melody and solid songwriting? Most of Beyonce's songs are beat-driven and tuneless with no real melody to speak of.

Why do you think r&b within shit-hop/r&b stands for "rhythmless bullshit"?!? wink

confused What's really sad is that this song will be in such heavy rotation, that people will start believing it's the greatest song they ever heard....like AK's "No One".

Hey, here's an idea, how we focus on the intelligent, musically interesting member of the Knowles family.....Solange

God, I HATED that song! lol

But I agree with you on the whole Solange thing. Bey really needs to take a page from her sister's book... then again, that might sabotage her precious popularity.

Honey, stop talking and just create the music.

Coming from someone who has been following this girl's career from The Writing's on the Wall... this is so terrible.

Especially after hearing the masterpiece that is Janelle Monae's Archandroid, Beyonce's title of R&B queen is really slipping. She's gonna lose it if she continues to put crap like this out.

Giving that Beyonce was the most successful female artist of the 2000's, she really had nothing to lose to begin with. Hell, she even took a year off from recording & touring just so Lady Gaga can have the pop culture spotlight to herself.

But in the 2010's, the window of opportunity is wide open for any female artist to dominate this still young decade. I do NOT see Beyonce having it as "easy" OR "better" like she had it in the 2000's.

THAT^ picture is a contradiction.

On one hand, Beyonce is raising the black first promoting "power to the people" who values freedom AND independence from their oppressors. But on the other hand, she is wearing an evening gown with nothing else underneath except for a g-string (I think!!!) with high heels on her feet.

In other words, it is NOT "girls" that are running the world. It is actually the "female whore arch types" that are running the world, according to Beyonce of course.

With that said, who is the "pimp" that is in charge of the "female whore arch types"?

Some of these comments in here have been very surprising coming from some people lol and not in a good way

On the topic:

This song sounds just like any other Beyonce song which is very average and mediocre. This song SUCKS but it more than likely will be a hit because its BeYAWNce.. She is so overrated.. I wish she just retire. Her music and so called talent is pointless and annoying when there are MORE talented artists out today who EXACTLY make GOOD QUALITY music and dont shake their ass and sale sex to get some where.

This was on Concreteloop.com:

In a press release that was issued earlier today, it was revealed the the track will also be surfaced to radio tomorrow. The song, officially tagged “Run the World (Girls)” was produced by Switch, with additional production from Shea Taylor and Beyoncé, and was co-written with The Dream. No word on anything else about the album, but keep it locked to CL for further details.

Even if this trash underperforms it'll be following a pattern. Beyonce's lead singles are always toppled by her second & third releases.

Crazy In Love was a hit but Baby Boy was interestingly a bigger one (in terms of charts - 9 consecutive weeks at #1)

Deja Vu & Ring The Alarm were both trounced by Irreplaceable, which saved the entire B'Day era.

If I Were A Boy (A-Side) was greatly overpowered by Single Ladies.

Excatly! The whole pose is all about pleasing men. There's nothing "girls rule the world"about it. She always was like this. She's using her body to sell....nothing wrong with it, but stop saying you're such a independant woman. You can be feminie, without being slutty.

Beyonce's slutty? I personally think she's one of the few female entertainers out there who can be sexy but not slutty. When a guy takes a top off on stage and dance sexy would u call that slutty? And let's not even bring up purple majesty XD

Hmm I think she was trying to say "Yeah I know y'all drool on me but I'm so freakin independent and waayy out of your league so keep on droolin losers!" lol

I don't know XP I wouldn't call that slutty...Like Madonna, she's just being bold and loud >_<

I tried to listen to the song again but I just couldnt get through the first verse... I don't understand how some people are praising this song .. what makes it different from Independent Women or any other "anthem" this girl has done? I know Bey brings her 'A' game when it comes to certain songs, but this shit needs to stop

LOL! He was slutty too! There's nothing wrong with being slutty...i love slutty, but i don't think it goes well with the "Girls rule the world" theme. For me, it would say you are taken seriously, and i doubt a lot of people take her seriously with that dress and high heels.

Hm can anyone be just sexy without being smutty in ur opinion? XP I'm just saying she is an entertainer who seems confortable and confident with what she is doing. If she chose to dress like Hilary Clinton and release this song, people would've called her a hypocrite; for changing who she is all of a sudden for a new song and pretending to b dead serious about it XD

^^^ Right and I agree. I never understood the whole Beyonce is so classy thing as far as her image which exactly represents the exact opposite. There is a BIG difference from being sexy versus just being flat out slutty which is what Ive always gotten from Beyonce she tries tooooo hard. Take even an artist like Alicia Keys for example.. while I do find her to be just as overrated as Beyonceat at least she keeps clothes on and does not parade around acting slutty on stage, videos and attire. Shes attractive and people see that WITHOUT all of that. I wish women would stop doing that ESPECIALLY black women.... its SO TIRED. I would much rather want to be known for my good music, for my incredible way of speaking my mind and lyrical content THAN for JUST being sexy.
