Hi guys, first time poster long time reader. Can't go on MJ boards without losing the will to live and everyone here seems a little more balanced and not recycling the same old same old (well nearly everyone). I usually post at KOP but have been doing so less and less. Things done changed!

hey Timmy, good to see you. I followed your advice and came to say hello here. Saying that, there has been some discussions here the last day or two KOP would be proud of lol

Ahhhh.... the London O2 announcement. Reflecting on that has been very difficult for me.

You see, I travelled to London that day. I had a gig of my own, with my band, or we were going to a music media event that we'd been invited to....perhaps an award show. It was one of those. Anyway - my train arrived into central London, something like 30 mins before Michael was SUPPOSED to show up, and I guess that was still some time before he actually did show up, as he was late.

I was torn. Half of me was saying "go to the O2 and see Michael" and the other half was saying "You have your own shit going on and you can't be late". So I texted a couple of friends who were already there and they were telling me that it didn't look like he was going to show up at the scheduled time and there'd been some delays. So I headed to my cousins house and loaded up the live stream while I was getting ready for my own thing.

Obviously hindsight is 20/20, but to know I missed my last chance to be in MJ's presence does hurt. As it stands, I was last in his presence in '97 on the HIStory tour. And given that I do consider myself very lucky to have seen him live, that's still good enough for me.

I even remember what else was happening at the O2 that day - it was the X-Factor tour (one of Simon Cowell's shitty realty talent singing shows for those outside the UK). I remember, because I was on the tube back after the event, and I saw two girls holding a programme. I said "Were you at the O2 today, did you see Michael?" and they said they didn't see him. I remember it clearly because a friend of mine plays keyboards on the X-Factor tour, and I asked to see their programme and his name was in there.

I should have gone. But I'm not gonna tear myself up over it.

Hey Militant. It was a close thing whether I went that day. But I managed to get the day off work and travel down. It was an amazing experience to feel that energy and excitement again. Don't feel down man, you got to see the man in concert! I am old enough and lucky to have done that as well. But what I wouldn't give for that one more time smile

Well I'm guilty of also being mad at Murray, but I can't help it with his actions...but I don't feel hate though I wish I did, it just isn't coming to me, cause I feel like what happened was so freakish and unreal and still like a big practical joke...but many signs point to his guilt IMO and he's not MJ, so I wouldn't compare the two cases. The fans who are acting out for any matter need to do serious soul searching, I'm trying to do that and falling down and getting up constantly, but I know that I'm going to have to change my thinking and perception to deal with what has happened to him and how his family is acting. I was so hurt and disgusted by it and though a part of me is still like WTF, I'm trying not to think about them and focus on my own life and now I can finally smile again when mj is played and laugh with joy, though if I'm by myself too long and start thinking about it, I still burst into tears and did so last night. It has more to do with me than him and I'm realizing it more...I'm missing how it felt for him to be alive and getting high off him and have to realize that I can still feel high off life day by day instead of in a long term way.

So a fan backmasked the song "This Is It" and this is what they came up with:

They claim it contains clues that Michael is still alive, confuse I don’t know about all that but its interesting listening to the song played backwards. If they hadn’t posted the backmasked words I probably wouldn’t have been able to make out about half of them. lol

Are there any other Michael Jackson songs that have been backmasked? This is the only one that I've heard.

[Edited 3/8/11 12:43pm]

Let's ignore the fact that he recorded it in 1983 when he was alive, shall we.

Stuff like this is humorous at best, but should never be taken as evidence of anything other than a fertile imagination of the listener.

quite a bit of his songs have been backmasked over the years... when people tried to prove he worshipped the devil or molested children. now folks are backmasking things to prove he is still physically here.

i hear so much about these boards... i've never signed up on one (this is the only one i am signed to) but i have read some stuff at several michael fan sites; and i'm not really in agreement with the whole 'cult of personality' thing. i agree that it is a bit more balanced here. i get people calling me weird and crazy here sometimes- and i'd love to get more into some political conversations pertaining to michael- but yeah, i think there is a pretty significant dose of critique and understanding that you don't receive other places.

Aw thanks for listening, I also feel like this whole time though I was inspired by him and learned so much, I got high off the thought of feeling his love in his presence like at a concert or in person for a very long time, and when things were stressful in real life...it was selfish of me, but love does that to you and I'm glad I can identify it.

85 Agents showed up on a clear Saturday night in June 2008. The mission? We started a dirty little rumor that Michael Jackson was having dinner on the rooftop of Stingaree in Downtown San Diego. We had no idea we would double the size of our group with this little fib about the King of Pop. Our 85 agents turned into 150-200 screaming, chanting, and singing - Michael Jackson fans. We took over all four corners and the intersection. The restaurant manager came out and asked us to leave their sidewalk, neighbors came out of apartments, and people left their dinner tables to come join the excitement; waiting for MJ to make an appearance. The very confused wait staff watched in confusion from inside the front window.
