Ahhhh.... the London O2 announcement. Reflecting on that has been very difficult for me.

You see, I travelled to London that day. I had a gig of my own, with my band, or we were going to a music media event that we'd been invited to....perhaps an award show. It was one of those. Anyway - my train arrived into central London, something like 30 mins before Michael was SUPPOSED to show up, and I guess that was still some time before he actually did show up, as he was late.

I was torn. Half of me was saying "go to the O2 and see Michael" and the other half was saying "You have your own shit going on and you can't be late". So I texted a couple of friends who were already there and they were telling me that it didn't look like he was going to show up at the scheduled time and there'd been some delays. So I headed to my cousins house and loaded up the live stream while I was getting ready for my own thing.

Obviously hindsight is 20/20, but to know I missed my last chance to be in MJ's presence does hurt. As it stands, I was last in his presence in '97 on the HIStory tour. And given that I do consider myself very lucky to have seen him live, that's still good enough for me.

I even remember what else was happening at the O2 that day - it was the X-Factor tour (one of Simon Cowell's shitty realty talent singing shows for those outside the UK). I remember, because I was on the tube back after the event, and I saw two girls holding a programme. I said "Were you at the O2 today, did you see Michael?" and they said they didn't see him. I remember it clearly because a friend of mine plays keyboards on the X-Factor tour, and I asked to see their programme and his name was in there.

I should have gone. But I'm not gonna tear myself up over it.

Why are MJ fans on KOP acting like John McClain is some phantom guy who was never heard about then just suddenly became the estate executor? And they're shocked that he's black falloff

If you're in the music industry or study music business, you're gonna know about John McClain

Can't they just use Google? lol

Likewise you'd think they would be aware of his long standing association with Janet.

It constantly surprises me how many people now days rely on misinformation and straight out lies as facts without doing any checking themselves.

Many fans are hypocrites who could have learned a lesson or two from mj himself....years ago they almost made me want to stop being a fan cause they pissed me off so much, but I know not all fans are like that, so I stopped caring for those who are like that and no longer have regard for them.

There's a guy on Facebook who goes by "Jack Facts" and he's basically saying stuff that

1. We already know

2. Speculation

and is acting like it's breaking news and these fans are believing him.

He's anti Jackson family and anti John McClain

-He's blamed Raymone Bain for the 2002 MTV VMA incident ALTHOUGH Raymone didn't start working for Michael until 2003-2004

-Cory Rooney and Tito's sons were trying to sabotage the Michael album and are jealous of the Cascios

-McCain was some sort of phantom

the mexican performance is actually one of my top J5 shows... and noticably of course, jermaine was not there. around this time you began to see what michael brought to the table as an adult, vocally and otherwise.

Mexico City is my ish. I have it on bootleg dvd, on the macbook and for the iPod. I love the brotherlyness off it if that makes sense. There's no Jermaine, but they are soooo beautiful together on stage. You Were Made Especially For Me is the BIZZZZ!!!! They are killing it with the aerobic dance moves! OMG I can't say enough wonderful things about this gem.

i have it on bootleg too lol i'd love for this stuff to get released officially.

I feel you on the hypocrites thing. The actions of some fans that annoy me the most are those at the court case for Dr Murray calling for his death, calling him a murderer etc. You just know that these would have been the same fans that in 2005 would have been saying "don't rush to judge, wait to you hear the truth, let Michael have his day in court".

I have said time and time again since his death that many fans are turning into their own worst enemies, and acting now in ways that they hated others acting towards MJ. They annoy me almost as much as the conspiracy peeps who are keeping MJ a circus-sideshow and propagating the whole Wacko Jacko image in their own way. Little do they all know that there actions are actually tarnishing the legacy of Michael.

really? i was not aware that people did not know who mc clain was. yeah, he was in michael's camp for a while (which is why he was stated in the 2002- i'm not a fan of the current executors and we can argue the validity of the will all day, but he was still named as an executor in 2002, along with branca).

he also has worked with his sister janet for many years. his name is quite prominent in the credits of her albums, under the title of 'executive producer' and such. granted, i don't follow janet jackson at all, but i am still aware of this. and people didn't know he was black? wow. i guess i'm just one of those people who study music business...? hee hee...

i have had to call some folks out on this, with their death wishes. like when chandler was found dead, people were like 'GOOD! the bastard is dead' and stuff like that. or when bashir was diagnosed with a brain tumor, people wished him dead.

i mean, come ON! i may have issues with some folks, but i don't think people deserve death because of their actions. or the extremely homophobic fans: 'michael wasn't gay! he was a REAL man!'. this statement exemplifies my feeling about the statements of a lot of the fan base: "michael was about love and humanitarianism: if you don't agree with me you deserve to die." this is pretty much a statement i saw. these people go against the VERY NATIURE of michael's teachings.

i may take issue with conrad murray, but yes, he deserves his day in court as well, just as michael did.

You are about to become part of the most epic, international,

and crowdsourced Michael Jackson video of all time.

Whether you're filming props, backgrounds, playing instruments, or singing, this is your chance to work on not just any music video, but a video for a song by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Our goal is to gather material from all corners of the globe and everywhere in between and creatively mash as many people into one video as we possibly can.

We’re not concerned so much about the quality of your video. We want to see enthusiasm. Effort. Love. No matter how much experience you have or what type of camera you have, we are going to look at everything we get. Thousands will apply. Many will get in.

It’s easy to start. First, select a role you’d like to play. Then, there will be a series of storyboards to choose from. These storyboards will illustrate the type of angle and shot we’re looking for. For this to look like a coordinated effort, we’re really going to have to work together, so try to stay close to the storyboard. But, if you have an amazing idea for a shot, feel free to submit that too.

We can’t wait to see what you come up with.

- THE “BEHIND THE MASK” TEAM

http://behindthemask.mich...n|20110308

Is anybody gonna try this out and submit something for the video?

MJ's parents 'the devil'? Really? You know them to be able to say that?

I think a lot of MJ fans forget, that all we do is buy CDs and watch concerts. We never knew Michael or any of his family to be able to say anything about them, especially something as fucked up as that.

Just because we saw Moonwalker doesn't mean we sat down to dinner with them every night.

You guys are fucking psychotic. No wonder most of the site avoids this thread and the people in it, like the plague. lol

So a fan backmasked the song "This Is It" and this is what they came up with:

They claim it contains clues that Michael is still alive, confuse I don’t know about all that but its interesting listening to the song played backwards. If they hadn’t posted the backmasked words I probably wouldn’t have been able to make out about half of them. lol

Are there any other Michael Jackson songs that have been backmasked? This is the only one that I've heard.

Well I'm guilty of also being mad at Murray, but I can't help it with his actions...but I don't feel hate though I wish I did, it just isn't coming to me, cause I feel like what happened was so freakish and unreal and still like a big practical joke...but many signs point to his guilt IMO and he's not MJ, so I wouldn't compare the two cases. The fans who are acting out for any matter need to do serious soul searching, I'm trying to do that and falling down and getting up constantly, but I know that I'm going to have to change my thinking and perception to deal with what has happened to him and how his family is acting. I was so hurt and disgusted by it and though a part of me is still like WTF, I'm trying not to think about them and focus on my own life and now I can finally smile again when mj is played and laugh with joy, though if I'm by myself too long and start thinking about it, I still burst into tears and did so last night. It has more to do with me than him and I'm realizing it more...I'm missing how it felt for him to be alive and getting high off him and have to realize that I can still feel high off life day by day instead of in a long term way.
