Madonna's been laying low all these months, quietly directing a movie, trying not to stir up any controversy and now all of a sudden, she's smack dab in the middle of a controversy...lol...I know that she secretly loves all that's going on.

Isn't this just a mashup? Remember the Grey Album? That mixed Jay Z and the Beatles but I don't think that means that Jay Z ripped off the Beatles.

way too much time on the hands of the guy who made this forced/lame video
I see similarities but I stick to my guns: this is not a rip-off

She did a great job! I fully expect a team of sound engineers and lawyers to be picking this new song apart in the near future.

As right as he might be it's hard to take the dude who wrote the same song twice (Halo and Already Gone) very seriously on this.

Love the song. I don't care if it sounds like Express Yourself (I honestly don't hear it that much) or Itsy Bitsy Spider, so the fuck what. Lavaux sounds like Automatic, Fergalicious sounds like Supersonic, Strong Enough sounds like I Will Survive and... [Edited 2/14/11 18:18pm]

Janet's Rhythm Nation Gaga's Alejandro
Tori Amos plays the piano with her legs wide open...
...and so does Gaga.
Grace Jones wore outfits that made you go "What the fuck?"...
...and so does Gaga.
Cyndi Lauper sported greenish hair for a while...
...and so did Gaga.
She's pretty much Dale Bozzio's twin, and has been noted as being the Dale of the new millenium.
Throw in Debbie Harry, Elton John, Terry Nunn from Berlin and Boy George and you have a few more folks who have obviously influenced Gaga's style. Oh, and Whitney Houston She is not only inspired by Madonna.

The girl has a sense of humor. I like that.
When someone sticks their neck out like that, I don't smack it, I praise it.
She is OK in my book. It's when artists play it safe and patronize their audience that I have trouble with. [Edited 2/14/11 19:41pm]

Exactly! The more people talk shit about you, you know you're doing something right. And now the song everyone hates will be #1 on the Hot 100 this week. "Get up off that grey line"

Anyone who could up with wearing a Kermit the frog dress and a smile like that is a genius!
A sick and twisted genius, but genius none the less.

But she doesn't come up with her outfits, they are designed and created by some guy. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

Don't ruin the illusion man. What wrong with you.
Now what? Are you happy now.
But seriously, how naive of me huh? I thought she did that stuff. I really did. My life is empty now.

Well, she wears the stuff. There must be genius in that too. right?

Audrey Hepburn. | |

I've seen Grace, Patti and Dale Bozzio wear wilder stuff than her. And don't forget the brothers from Funkadelic.

She didn't invent that either! aw man now i'm going to be nauseous. I have been loving a lie!

To be honest though she's getting quite predictable. Much less, yeah, the song sounds predictable to what I thought it would be. The way the lyrics were printed, you knew it was gonna be a dance song. The egg/cocoon entrance was predictable because I knew where she was going with it once I realized why she roll through like that (it tied in with the song). So yeah she was gonna sell even without that cocoon presence. And she tried her best to look like she does on the cover so the pointy shoulders and pointy horns around her face weren't surprising.
