What question? Not mine. I ask because I think it would change your perspective. The give away is that you protest her writing a song about LGBT when there ain't any other songs in music that freely talk about it on a grand scale. There's LGBT artists and such like Meshell, but on a global scale, we've never had someone writing songs specifically about the gay culture. Like Johnart, that ain't a bad thing to have songs written about LGBT stuff as opposed to gay people simply changing all the "She"s to "He"s or vice versa.

Why complain that someone is actually talking about something other than the status quo? I guess now that the novelty of gay people has worn off, they shouldn't talk about being gay anymore?!?! lol

I did not say that it was wrong to have an LGBT anthem or have gay songs, I just felt like it was forced and not from the heart. Damn! Is it that serious? lol Besides, I could be dead wrong with that assessment and if I am, then I own up to that and I take it back. But one thing is true, regardless of whether it's from the heart or not, in giving it more thought, it is a song for us who are LGBT and that is NOT a bad thing and I appreciate that. I might not feel the song but if someone else does, then awesome, the song is for them and they better run with it! lol

is lady gaga gay? or was she just meaning being born so strange?

i was born like this. i was weird even as a toddler

K I actually got a bit of a buzz going on and thought, well lets not be so judgemental lets give it another spin, well guess what..........H...I....M and thus my problem as a gay man flares up again. I don't need a endorsement that a non existing diety likes and/or accepts me. Cause you know what Im fierce enough an strong enough to know that I don't need "god's" approval of my lfe.

Now if gaga was laying down that, i could get behind it, but all she has proven to be is a pushing the envelope but not to the point of off the table. She madonna lite, and I hate madonna.

It’s too much of a “thumpa-thumpa-thumpa-thumpa” gay dance club track for me. And I go to bed every night next to a guy I met at a gay dance club. There’s some potential here, but in the same bad way that gay dance mixes of a Eurythmics song make you want to put on the original version without the generic drums and sped-up vocals.

As for it sounding like “Express Yourself”, what, did you just realize that pop music isn’t especially original? You’re going to be really fucking disappointed with Prince if you ever listen to Parliament/Funkadelic, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix or Santana. Or when you start comparing some of Madonna’s old looks to Marilyn Monroe.

Who said pop music was original etc etc...? Everybody knows that other artists borrow ideas & take inspiration from other sources. Folks were just pointing out the similarities, it's an observation eek

i like it a bit better today. still not thrilled about it.

the main thing i like about it now is that it's #1 in

so many countries and it will piss off all those who

hate her so much.

really, it's a fascinating thing to see how vehemently

some people hate this woman. she's a pop star, for

cryin out loud. they act like she comes into her home

every night and sticks pins in their arms.

LOL @ people thinking I actually like this song simply because I posted chart statistics. I'm a chart fan. This is setting records. Point blank.

1 Born This Way - 1781 (#27 for the week Real Time)
2 Grenade - 1737

Shit..Gaga wasnt kidding when she said people would be pissed with her new music..I mean, seriously?? I liked it..It has a good song structure, in my opinion. Will it change the world? No. It's pop music. I do think it's gonna be memorable. Definitely on its way to being a gay anthem.

It's not a bad track. In fact it's pretty good. Having said that, it's . . . kinda generic.

The spoken word parts and beats sound EXACTLY like her last CD, and yes it sounds like Express Yourself.

I thought you were a Gaga fan! Anyway, part of the reason I like this song is that it isn't very "cool" - it sounds way too happy and shameless to be cool like "Alejandro", "Telephone" and "Bad Romance", and I much prefer it for those reasons, I think. lol
