That was soooooooooooooooooo....

Underwhelming. neutral I knew it wouldn't live up to the hype. That said, it DEFINITELY sounded like "Express Yourself".

It grows on ya, I've already listened it 4 times and I'M STARTING to dig it

that said, the song is clearly average; not even half as good as LoveGame, Alejandro or Monster and OF COURSE it doesn't compare to PokerFace, Telephone or Bad Romance

confused

Dude when you have to listen to it four times just to like it, that proves it was overhyped.

My reactions to it were like:

hmmm

neutral

confused

lurking

shrug

pout

disbelief

eek

I tried a second time and it was like "uh-uh..." I fear it may get worse if I listen to it again. I had to play Carl Bean's "I Was Born This Way"! lol

At best, the song is decent

At worst, it's overhyped and average, but it doesn't embarrass the listener...

and I don't know why she overhyped this single so much. She's already a superstar, she doesn't need this kind of excessive hype in order to sell 3 - 5 million copies. She told us that this single was going to be just as good as the singles of the 08-09 era but it isn't confused

Yeah she overhyped it WAY TOO MUCH. I don't know if I can even call it SINGLE material. It sounds like an album filler track.

I've never really been a fan of Lady Gaga, but this song is way worse than Bad Romance, Just Dance, Telephone, Alejandro and Paparazzi. Mediocre at best. neutral

I played this very loudly at the bar last night and it does sound okay.... but yeah. Completely redone "Express Yourself".

It's kind of hard to dance to with all the change ups.

It's cool, but it's as if Lady Gaga ripped off 'Express Yourself' hardcore. Though, this song has the possibility of getting annoying really fast.

Nah. Nothing special. A contrived anthem from an artist who's thinks she's more important than she really is. And I generally like the Gaga.

I was expecting a pianoesuq ballad not another pop/techno beat confused

The song's catchy, and yes obviously sound's like Express Yourself...

'

But from the hype of this song ''changing'' culture confused it's just an average pop song

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

lol I knew you would half way down the page.

Anyway, I like it too. Thank god the music drowns out those silly lyrics. She studied at the Prince Musicology School for Hiding Shitty Lyrics.

Yeah she overhyped it WAY TOO MUCH. I don't know if I can even call it SINGLE material. It sounds like an album filler track.

It would be a little ridiculous if the biggest star in the world was overly meek about their music. It always weirded me out that Michael Jackson was so meek when he was clearly top dog. When Prince is top dog, motherfucker cannot shut up about it.

But I think there is a genuineness in her comments, if they are a bit naive. She has good intentions, no matter what jaded cynicism people like to dump on her.

This song is better than "Dance in the Dark" and that almost became a single.

Anyone else hear a sped up "Waterfalls" in this melody, though?

lol yeah nod cool

the lyrics don't bother me that much; the song is a celebration of glam, it's not that bad, c'mon

that said, I hope the rest of the album is better than this lol
