You ain't forgiving me nothing though. And you actually recommend Katy Perry as anything? Are you sure you're not ... 10%?

Katy Perry and Gaga are two sides of the same boring ass coin. One's an upper and the other's a downer. Choose your drug but remember...the effects on your mental health remain the same no matter which poptart you consume.

Meh...I will abstain from both those beeshes!

O hell yeah. HotGritz and me just found our common ground. I appreciate the observation.

And I just found common ground with you two too! Sick of them both, but Gaga more because of her thieving ass. Laughed super hard reading David Bowie and Grace Jones dismissals of her!

Pretty damn sure Madonna's about to serve her too. She pretends to like her, but it feels like a "keep your enemies close" age-old Madge tactic. There have been tons of sideways leaks from Camp Madonna about her being sick of Gaga copying her, hiring her same people out for videos, same designers, ripping off choreography etc., not to mention the Prince camp thefts.

Sorry, but if some of the greatest legends in music dislike her and refer to her as a thieving hoax, I'm inclined to agree. No offense Gaga fans, there is a lot to like, I just prefer the original sources.

You don't understand. Too often Gaga only thank "God" and gays for her success.

God, by the way, is not about to acknowlege shit here today. Ain't no Mothers or Examples coming either. No, we are not going for some sort of "anti-hetero prejudice thing" here, and my posts are not representative of a me vs the straight people agenda - some of my best friends are straight, and some of them even have humor running through their rigid little brains and floppy little sexual organs.

What we are going for is very simple, acknowledgement - poor little straight things are not getting enough acknowledgement at the org. So, "now close your bedroom and have yourself a good cry for 3 days under the covers, then get on with your life like the rest of the world that doesn't have time to sit around pissing and moaning about hateful everything is."

"Straight fans", generally speaking, are given 90% acknowledgement in every step taken, no matter where they walk, no matter who they step on and no matter what they step in. Read a book. These are just basic facts that you can find at your local library.

Gaga clock ... 2...1...

Hey Tony, I do understand. Love your av.

Teena Marie is my best avatar ever. Thanks! cool

BACK ON TOPIC: Gaga need to refreshing up on her music history concerning Michael Jackson.

When Michael used to win awards (and he won plenty in his career!) he also tell his fans "Thank You" & "I love you all".

I don't remember Michael saying "thank you" & "I love you" to only the gays OR only the straights. He said thank you to all of his fans. THAT was Michael being responsible in knowing that he had all types of fans throughout his lifetime. And I strongly believe that Gaga need to be more responsible like that because she started to give the wrong impression that she forgetting about the straight fans that stood with her just as much as her gay fans.

Just saying.

OK so turns out I did not read the thread wrong. Gaga needs to follow a hetero-inclusive format when thanking folk for her awards. Lawdhamerceeeeee. Seriously now. Of all things in life to feel shafted about. Gimmie a break. neutral

Just tell her how angry you are for being left out by not buying or listening to her music and let it go. lol

Here's the thing. She knows the deal. When/if mainstream is ever done with her, it will be the gays that will support her for the rest of her career. That's how we are.

It's nice that you strongly believe that, but that's not her opinion nor is it the opinion of the audience she is thanking. Therefore, when you spout your opinion off as fact or as if you know more than someone else about the topic and should be heeded, you sound bloated and pompous. Either way, it ain't gonna change anyone's mind just because the poor straight fella can't catch a break in this town.

Lady Ga Ga is an entertainer more so than an artist. I think she could make a good living doing cover songs in her style. I have never pictured her much as an artist though. I see her more as mutant Vegas glitter that got free by some sort of freak accident.

"she started to give the wrong impression that she forgetting about the straight fans that stood with her just as much as her gay fans."

This is remedial stuff here, I strongly believe that you need to take in what you're reading here and move forward to a higher place. STOP! Consider trying this - stop trying to get your perspective across on this one and listen up a little bit. This is not the time to resolve the smaller issue, which is that you experience discomfort with Queer thinking and presence that can exist outside of heterocentric bounderies and control . You can come along with us as we seek human resolution. Queer is a state of mind. You can be Queer, too. It's not all about how you identify sexually.

With this in mind it doesn't matter who the hell Michael Fucking Jackson thanked. He is irrelevant to this conversation.

It really doesn't matter whether anyone here likes her or doesn't. Or if her career will be a long one or not. This is about people being offended for ridiculous reasons. Looking for a thread of anything to pick apart so they can boo-hoo about it.

Who outside of Arizona has heard of these activist groups? I've no doubt they are wonderful institutions doing excellent work.I'm sure much of their good work goes unrecognized, but latch on to a big star by throwing any sort of accusation and BAM you're in the news...The FAME. razz

The other thing is this. The mere inclusion of a word in a piece of work doesn not define it's intended meaning. People love to jump on something without even bothering to get its context.

Like when droves of idiots went nuts over Hell is For Children, or Papa Don't Preach.

What's funny to me is that, according to the original post, people are offended on behalf of Latina girl gangs lol

I'm sayin. lol

When I read the lyrics I didn't take them as Gaga name-calling. Again, the title of the fuckin song is BORN THIS WAY (there's a theme running here, follow along). I took it as this is what you come into this world and are automatically identified (or self-identified) as.

Again, this is Gaga, not Toby Keith, for fucks sake, loosen the fuckin leash on your brain a bit. lol

Behind the scenes, Gaga is probably the most involved (artistically speaking) of any of the american pop starlets. This might not be saying much when compared to people like Prince, but it is saying a lot for her genre where most of it is purchased, not composed.

Additionally, Gaga got her big break as a writer and session vocalist just like Keri Hilson and Kara DioGuardi or whatever (the chick who ended up on Idol).

Her records are not my cup of tea, but I think she is the hardest working woman in show bizness. She writes, has vocal and instrumental talent, her stage choreography is demanding as hell, and she has an artistic and political bent. Who today is pulling all of that in one show?

I do wish she was not so omnipresent like Beyonce. Just go away for a good while and let people start wanting to hear and see you again.

That worked in the 80's and into the 90's. It doesn't work like that these days. And it *rarely* ever worked, in the case of someone who was just hitting it big. Janet Jackson is really the only one I can think of that it worked for at the dawn of their superstardom.
