WDAS, a radio station in Philadelphia, is reporting that R&B legend Teena Marie has died. The adult radio station is reporting the singer died as a result of a heart attack. The 54 year old singer is known for being one of the first White artists to sign and sing at Motown Records back in 1979. Marie is also known for songs like Lover Girl, Casanova Brown and duets with Rick James. WDAS is reporting funeral services are being arranged. Sheila E said Teena had been suffering from seizures prior to this and she said Teena's daughter found her unconscious in her bedroom. Her body has been removed from her home. It may be true.

It seems too coincidental that she would die on her daughter's birthday though. God, Teena is my IDOL (hence my user name). This woman's music means sooooooo much to me. Thinking positive thoughts right now...

Oh so Roland reported from her manager on Facebook that Teena's passed away. I didn't even know she was sick!

Sheila's said on Twitter that she had been having siezures. Her daughter found her. This seems like a sudden thing.
