Conspiracy? The list of music legends dying out within 50-something is getting long:

Teena Marie

Michael Jackson

Barry White

Gerald LeVert

Rick James

Roger Troutman (murdered at age 47)

Luther Vandross

Teddy Pendergrass

Curtis Mayfield

All of THESE^ deaths were within the last 12 years.

All these people had serious health conditions with the exception of Roger.

Exactly! Plus Roger's death was due to a brother who didn't want his brother to leave the business. I don't know why people would go so far to say it's a conspiracy.

This list is indeed scary--especially if you are not that far from 50=makes you re-think your own health agenda... I so hope and pray that Aretha will recover!

To be honest I'm actually surprised Aretha has lived that long, she must have a guardian angel because all her issues (chain smoking for years, alcoholism, weight ballooning) could've killed a lesser person. I think it's partially due to her being a God-fearing woman who survived a whole ordeal. Or maybe she's just lucky but I do hope she makes a recovery from this. I'm still hopeful but as this point I'm at peace with whatever God decides for Aretha.

Ain't this a bitch. sigh

This time of year I can't help but think about my boy, James Brown. And in remembering him I found myself praying for Aunt Re-Re last night. And crying over Michael again, as I listened to the new CD. You never know when things like this are going...but they do happen. cry

rose R.I.P. Lady T. Soul Heaven just got a little bit more soulful.

Aaaaand, an annual fuck you to B.E.T. for the lack of proper tribute to James Brown, and for the shitty tribute they will do for Tenna Marie because they are just shitty like that.

Aaaaaand an advanced fuck you to the industry and the future "next-Teena-Marie" you will no doubt try to manufacture and shove up our asses.

I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

This, is indeed, true. I think she has good genes and a guardian angel... But I still hope she pulls through... Teena Marie was a dead shock for me! Bless her soul... sad
