Don't know if anyone saw this, but another MJ cash in coming by way of the Discovery Channel.

Looks like Joe Jackson isn’t the only one trying to cash in on the death of the fallen pop star. Discovery Channel is planning its most notorious TV event since Shark Week and rattling hardcore Michael Jackson fans everywhere with a special to air in the UK on January 13th called “Michael Jackson’s Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson.”

The show will bring viewers inside the gritty details of Michael Jackson’s death with a re-enactment of the autopsy itself, and will no doubt speculate broadly about the medications Jackson was taking and the dubious ethical standards that allowed such a regimen to be prescribed in the first place.

As a mythically famous cultural icon, attempts to cash in on the fascination with Jackson’s death seem inevitable, but 18 months later, die-hard fans feel Discovery Channel’s autopsy re-enactment transgresses the boundaries of prudence and good taste.

In an attempt to dissuade Discovery Channel from airing the show, a group has begun a petition asking the network to cancel its planned January 13th premiere. Surprisingly this petition is not taking the form of a Facebook fan page but rather an old-fashioned, honest to goodness petition, which you can find here—although maybe this is testament to the median age range of MJ’s die-hard fan base.

THAT MAKES ME SICK! I don't know if they have good intentions by showing the lack of health ethics in this situation or (like almost every other documentary) it'll sensationalize everything about the autopsy.

Fuck him.

And I won't raise a fuss over the autopsy shit unless, like Viintage said, they show his autopsy pictures, which I doubt.

At the end of the day, I think it would be extremely disrespectful, almost a sick, twisted fetish.

I prefer to remember the man as the wonderful human being he was and for the great things he has done. The lively dancing, wonderful singing, and overall artistry from a man that left us too soon.

Granted the show is a reenactment and I personally don't believe there is anything a fan club/petition can do to stop the airing of this. Anything with his name will almost gaurantee a ratings bonanza and since his death is still very much an unresolved case (although we know the players), expect more of these.

So lets recap the songs that make up MICHAEL..just to be clear.

1) Hold My Hand - Recorded in 2007/2008, originally meant to be Akon's

lead single but then because it leaked it was scrapped. Also I remember

something about a music video being filmed. Anyone remember the details?

2) Hollywood Tonight - Recorded for Invincible

3) Keep Your Head Up - Recorded in 2007 in NJ. (Doubtful it is MJ)

4) The Way You Love Me - Recorded in 2004 and Michael reworked it

in 2009 with Neff-U via the telephone.

5) Monster - Recorded in 2007 in NJ. (Doubtful it is MJ) 50 Cent was added

because Michael really wanted to work with him, according to Teddy Riley in a recent interview.

6) Best of Joy - One of the last songs Michael ever recorded in 2009 in LA. sad

7) Breaking News - Recorded in 2007 in NJ. (Doubtful it is MJ)

8) Another Day - Recorded for Invincible. Lenny reworked it after MJ's passing.

9) Behind The Mask - Recorded for Thriller. Production added later by John McClain

AND Teddy Riley..? or just John McClain?

10) Much Too Soon - Recorded for Thriller. Reworked by John McClain

Correct?

I think someone said Hollywood tonight was from 2007, although you'd need to ask someone who actually knows what they are talking about to confirm that. I'm sure someone will gladly confirm, or correct me if I am wrong...

Can the media get any sicker?

The vocals on "Much Too Soon" sound like they came from an entirely different era than "Thriller". That's the older Michael to my ears. I'm not going to be my life on it, but I think this version is a reworked one. It sounds quite different to "Behind The Mask" as well.

Also, was "Another Day" really recorded for "Invincible"? I was under the impression that it was recorded a few years later. Lenny said that Michael's children were hanging around in his studio when they recorded it. It sounds a bit odd that he would have had the kids there at that age.

I was gonna say that "Much Too Soon" could be from a later recorded date. I did hear he may have recorded it in 1994 but I'm not sure.

"Another Day" sounds like a post-Invincible recording, possibly 2003.

eek NO! I never ever would. I couldn't stand to see the man I loved and still love for so long be dissected or opened up like that. NEVER EVER EVER. It's not respectful, and Michael wouldn't want us to see him like that...I want to remember him as someone who brought joy and happiness into my life (still does), not cut open and lifeless on a cold slab in the morgue...cry cry

And I used to like Discovery....but this is just sick! mad Leave the man alone...

7) Breaking News - Recorded in 2007 in NJ. (Doubtful it is MJ)

8) Another Day - Recorded for Invincible. Lenny reworked it after MJ's passing.

9) Behind The Mask - Recorded for Thriller. Production added later by John McClain

AND Teddy Riley..? or just John McClain?

10) Much Too Soon - Recorded for Thriller. Reworked by John McClain

Correct?

Wasn't "The Way You Love Me" recorded for Invincible?

Much Too Soon was written for Thriller, but vocals are from a 1994 session

I think "The Way You Love Me" was 2004-ish.

Teddy Riley tweeted that MJ's children were lying about the songs.

Pretty fucking low to say that children are lying about their recently deceased father.
