So you US fans waiting to pick up the album in physical form?

Would love your thoughts on the booklet, lyrics and notes from MJ. And what you think in hearing the album without sound loss and the detailed production that is hidden in a few tracks.

It was wrong of Teddy Riley to insult some fans, but keep in mind he has received thousands of messages and emails about the album. Im sure he's gotten a lot of hate mail and he just reacted.

This is why i think its better a artist or producer don't get so personel with the fans because the natural reaction if they say something insulting is to do it back.

I doubt Riley said this stuff without it being said to him first

I disagree. I think the vocals are from the early 80's. The dead give away being his speaking voice on the very last line ("Yes, I guess I learned my lesson much too soon"). That is early 80's MJ all the way!

I don't know who said it was '94, Viintage or bboy, one of them said that. But I still wonder about the actual date of it... a part of me think it IS a lost "Thriller" recording and another say "it was recorded much later".

To my knowledge, it was WRITTEN in 1981, but the mix on the MICHAEL album is the first mix (1994 session at the Hit Factory recording studio). I can't find the article, but one of the engineers mentioned how Michael would always re-record the track during his different album sessions and the version on MICHAEL is the May 1994 recording.

Don't know if anyone saw this, but another MJ cash in coming by way of the Discovery Channel.

Looks like Joe Jackson isn’t the only one trying to cash in on the death of the fallen pop star. Discovery Channel is planning its most notorious TV event since Shark Week and rattling hardcore Michael Jackson fans everywhere with a special to air in the UK on January 13th called “Michael Jackson’s Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson.”

The show will bring viewers inside the gritty details of Michael Jackson’s death with a re-enactment of the autopsy itself, and will no doubt speculate broadly about the medications Jackson was taking and the dubious ethical standards that allowed such a regimen to be prescribed in the first place.

As a mythically famous cultural icon, attempts to cash in on the fascination with Jackson’s death seem inevitable, but 18 months later, die-hard fans feel Discovery Channel’s autopsy re-enactment transgresses the boundaries of prudence and good taste.

In an attempt to dissuade Discovery Channel from airing the show, a group has begun a petition asking the network to cancel its planned January 13th premiere. Surprisingly this petition is not taking the form of a Facebook fan page but rather an old-fashioned, honest to goodness petition, which you can find here—although maybe this is testament to the median age range of MJ’s die-hard fan base.

gosh that is just really fucking wierd, I thought he was one of the good people after michaels death. I don't necessarily think otherwise now, just think he's delusional. Delusional like religious people are. I mean people do see and hear what they want to I think he really believes his own bullshit.

that's very true, not only for musicians but for anyone who puts themself up to the conjecture of multitudes, you'd go insane worrying about it. You just have to do what you do. Recently I was watching concert pianists on youtube, brilliant, but of course people were saying the most demeaning things with true arrogance, just the way people are.

Could be. The vocals throughout the majority of the song could pass for mid 90's MJ pretty easily. It's that last line where we hear his speaking voice that gets me.

I can't believe a small minority of fans are now doubting the authenticity of Hollywood Tonight.

These people obviously do not know Michael Jackson's voice very well.
