I do too. I really feel now after my initial disappointment with Katherine that she's put into a corner and can't get out.
As for Teddy, I wouldn't call a guy who banged his daughter upside the head with a Rock Band guitar and calling someone a bitch and slut on Twitter decent. Remember he always has falling outs with band mates because he has a mad ego trip.
But like bboy said, I gotta give him some credit, he did give us Guy. [Edited 11/8/10 17:22pm]

I agree, this situation is ridiculous. This should be an exciting time for MJ fans, instead it's turned into a crazy circus

about teddy, i just don't know anything about him, once we stop talking michael, elvis, prince or bruce I can get pretty lost. He seemed decent and i was moved by his postdeath interview where he seemed such a humble nice guy. But....that could be because he treated michael like michael and not some chump, who knows.

lol Sure is hypocrites in here today. You know it's him, yet I don't know it's not him. Psssh. Whatever.
I don't care what you do or how involved you are in music, because it just makes you look worse. Whether it's been 10 or 20 years years or not, some things just don't change and will not. Just because it's on some recording doesn't mean shit either. Michael voice sounds a certain way...no matter whatever the hell he's singing. The person singing the main vocals on that song is not and does not sound like Michael Jackson. Before I even heard the actual recording I heard the acapella. I didn't even recognize the voice in the acapella, which is why I went to the actual song and just came to the conclusion that it was NOT him. The fact that any of us had to listen to the song more than once to figure whether or not it's him speaks VOLUMES. Why does he sound like himself in some of the background vocals and not in the main vocals? That doesn't make any sense. Well, maybe to you it does.
Also, in b4 2000 Watts. Even there Michael sounds like himself even though he's in a much lower register. =/
Also, I just want to put out there that I hate the song. I don't. It's not a bad song. It's just not him singing the main vocals, nor does it seem that it is characteristic of his instrumentation.

Honestly you guys can't expect to hear anything about Michael and NOT let it be a crazy circus, that's all it's ever been. Really? Y'all surprised by this?
It's gonna always be a circus, expect nothing less. But if Michael was still here, we wouldn't get what we're getting. Believe that. [Edited 11/8/10 17:38pm]

Frank Cascio needs to wake up. I feel like de-friending him on facebook
Francesco Cascio No, Sadly to say its Not Sony... Breakng New's is Great. IT Is 100% Michael Voice., He recorded it in my home. Please the fans should be enjoying this special moment. it is special and there are people out there trying to take that away from you and the world... "Jealousy" Please embrace this song as Michael was very proud of it... That's really messed up to say i'm glad michael is not here to see this , I know what you mean but eh. I would rather him be here and never put out a album or even toured to be honest. As long as he was around.

Don't he look like the kind of dude who'd cause a scene at Sizzler's or Applebee's because his order wasn't right? "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

a lot of people are saying that this is a stunt by sony to gather attention for the album or something like that.
but i really don't see how that would work.
the only attention this creates is negative attention. granted any kind of attention is usually good for promotional purposes.
yet, kicking up a media frenzy for a soon to be released album by releasing a vague and dubious track that is likely even a fake?
how will that help album sales at all?
all that does is make even actual fans try to download it first to judge for themselves if the entire album is full of these dubious vocal tracks or if the rest is true MJ songs.
and it just makes sense to conclude that from that point on many people won't even buy the album simply because a download will actuall suffice them, even if it does turn out to be the actual genuine article.
the only possible thing that could come from this is people being carefull before they spend their money on the album.
sure, the song got everyone talking, just look at this thread. but i'm sure sony will be fully aware of the backlash from this.
it's no publicity stunt, i'm sure. it's either really MJ, which seems unlikely juding from all your many posts (i wouldn't really know myself, i kinda like his music and i have his albums but i only get in an MJ kinda mood about twice a year, so what do i know) or it's a fake.
so if it's a fake and they're willing to run with it, then wtf? how are they ever going to market any genuine jackson tracks after this, if there prove to be more of these songs on the album that's about to be released?
does anyone know who actually chose to release this as the first 'single'? i mean is there a face to be nailed to a door for this marketing fail of the year? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

thank you. i said something similar up thread only to be greeted with some long-winded conspiracy theory.
all those effing lawyers crawling around katherine, looking for their payday, and no one in the family can think to ask them to file an injunction if there is one shred of EVIDENCE that mj is not on the record? they've been challenging the executors from day one; if there was any evidence that johns mcclain and branca are willing to participate in a fraud, why not go to court and have them removed from administering the estate like you've been seeking to do? what the fuck is sending out a tweet going to do? all this drama for no good reason that i can see.

To be frank, "Breaking News" is not the first single, it's being promoted as a teaser. I kept hearing that "Hold My Hand" would be the first single from the album. And we've yet to see the actual track listing yet.

i for one hope the outcry is loud enough to stop it as soon as possible. It's not him, plain and simple, I wish it was him but it's not. No reason to say it's not other than it's not.

Who the hell is this dude? I keep seeing his name in this thread, never heard of him.
Anyway, he can keep his "special" song. I just pray to god that nobody other than MJ touched "A Place With No Name" because I don't think I can handle hearing it going through the same scenario.

ah ok, and is "hold my hand" confirmed to be a song that michael actually finished on his own?
beyond the doubt about wether it's his voice on "breaking news" i'm also apprehensive about the mentions of unfinished songs or demos being "completed" after michael died.
i would rather hear songs he finished himself and was content with. that would probably mean not a lot of brand new song from the past few years but if that were so, so be it.
having the choice, i'd rather they'd waited a little longer and put aside all their differences with companies and family relations etc etc to create a nice little 2 or 3 cd set with outtakes from his entire carreer. something that could be the first in a series of similar releases.
i get the appeal in making his last "album" available, but if michael didn't finish it or didn't even have far finished plans for it, what's the point, really?
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway. whatever sony is fucking up with "breaking news" i hope there will be at least 50% actual real-and-almost-untouched-by-others songs on it.
i don't know how his estate/legacy is divided amongst people but i read somewhere this week that his family (his mother, i think) now 'own' about 300 unreleased MJ songs. is that true?

I don't know if they said the estate owns it or the family owns it, I think I hear that the family did but I'm not sure on that.
And no, no one knows for sure about "Hold My Hand". I don't believe it myself.

Michael was friends with the Cascio family since the early 90s. Frank Cascio worked with Michael in the early 2000s and Michael was frequently staying over their house in NJ in 2007.

The reasons his nephew gave to why he doubts the vocals are pretty valid. They say the harddrives and everything with them were deleted because he was so happy with them, BUT Michael was a packrat He recorded and kept everything, there's about 3 demos of Billie Jean and 2 demos of Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' circulating for example
Those 300 unreleased songs are mostly tracks that were used for The Jacksons' 1976 variety show and maybe some unreleased tracks from the early 70s along with maybe Janet's earliest recordings "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

LOL!!!
This is some shitty birthday week, I have to say. I was really looking forward to this song today. I'm DISGUSTED and INSULTED!!! And can you believe it's only Monday?! My god... with the Oprah interview, Michael's kids being exploited on TV, Sony taking a piss on Michael's legacy, and then in the middle of this, you got Janet blindly tweeting about her new movie like nothing else is going on. It's like a circus on steriods! I wasn't surprised to find this thread on page 30!
