After listening to the acapella version im more convinced than its MJ.

There is no evidence of a MJ track with him singing FAST over the last 8 years.

Slow songs DONT COUNT

There is more strain on the older voice on up tempo tracks

Right about what? MJ wanting a 20 million dollar Unbreakable video when the song was wack and his sales didn't deserve that high budget of a video.

Sony was probably like if other artist can sale well without needing 20 million for a single video than so can MJ.

You shouldn"t need high expensive videos just to sale your album.

As for Butterflies was released and Unbreable should have been instead. In the USA, especially r&b and hip hop radio stations didnt even like that track. I remember Big Boy from power 106 in LA played the entire album and they were like the slow cuts are tight but the fast tracks are.............. Basically WACK

For those who are interested, I spoke with my source on the phone for over 30 minutes tonight regarding this whole mess. This is coming straight from Sony: the vocals are over 50% not MJ's, they did hire an impersonator to run over the majority of MJ's pre-existing vocals and tried to hide it with production.

The remaining Cascio tracks including "Monster" are all in the same boat with some MJ vocals and some imposter vocals. There will be a big meeting tomorrow at Sony where they will discuss the future of this album. More to come...

From smooth_criminal05 at MJJC, who has insider connects at Sony and has been posting inside info on the album since the beginning.

I'm going to hold out hope that these imposter tracks get CUT all together. This just seems so downright shitty, unfair, and fucked. Michael's fans are loyal and Michael did care about his fans. (I have TONS of first-hand proof of this personally, seeing as I'm a HUGE fan and I know from experience MJ cared about his real fans) and to think we are being done this way...less than a month a way from being sold a product with his name on it that ISN'T him. What the fuck is this Milli Vanilli? UGH!!! This is even worse. At least Milli Vanilli never claimed to be an icon. This fucking cover paints Michael as the icon he deserved to be treated as during his final years, and it is going to feature an impostor. How fucked!

The sad truth is..once the CDs go to print..Sony won't change a damn thing. And I have a bad feeling with that early December release date getting closer and closer..we just might be stuck with this phony songs. UGH. HOW FUCKED!?!??!

Michael is gone, and if this sham goes to print, I might ditch my interest in his future projects all together, if shady people (The Estate/The Jacksons/Sony) are going to stand behind RIPPING OFF HIS FANS. Fuck you Harvey and Roger and media "analysts" for trying to pass this bull off as entirely MJ. I'm so PISSED.

Thank goodness...finally a REAL review of the song..

and by real..I mean a review that calls the song out

on what it is.

Jacko’s not-so-good ‘News’

by Jed Gottlieb / Single Review

Tuesday, November 9, 2010 -

‘Breaking News’ (Epic): B-

Michael’s first posthumous single kicks off with a montage of a TV newscaster reporting on old Jackson scandals and includes classic MJ studio tricks. There’s the thumping, stop-and-start beat, synthy string bursts and horn punches, and a few screams over a dated-but-fun new jack swing groove. But does it include any of his vocals?

The Jackson family and an army of angry online fans claim it’s not the King of Pop singing. The label insists it is (although the record company admits some posthumous production work was done on this track and the rest of “Michael,” an album of unreleased material out Dec. 14). Whatever the truth, the track - which you can hear as a free stream on michaeljackson.com - sounds more like a work-in-progress than the highly polished pop MJ delivered.

What does ring true are the lyrics. Like “Bad’s” “Leave Me Alone,” it’s an anquished cry for the media to stop obsessing over the troubled star - something Michael never made it easy to do. Referring to himself in the third person, he rants, “Everybody wanting a piece of Michael Jackson ... Reporters stalking the moves of

Michael Jackson.” It even contains an eerie reference to people wanting to write his “obituary.”

But sung in a voice without the character or the sizzle of Jackson’s finished work, “Breaking News” doesn’t quite sound like genuine Jacko.

If this is true then I think Sony owes the whole fan community an apology.

If they don't have full scat vocals then just repeat them like with This Is It, or In the Back. Sure there will be some frustration at it being unfinished vocally but at least it will be all Michael - that we deserve.

I'd rather a 9 track CD of all MJ than a 10 track with augmented vocals.

I still stand by my original assessment of 80% MJ with augmented vocals and backing vocals but I guess I may be wiping some freshly scrambled egg off my face if this report is confirmed.

I guess we will all know the truth soon enough.

If they put out this material and sell it as being sung by Michael Jackson, I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be considered a criminal offense. It is a deliberate fraud attempt and they're trying to fool millions of record buyers. What's most bizarre about it is that there's been nobody at SONY to stop this from going any further. I've been fooled by a few fake Prince bootleg tracks in the past, but this stuff here sounds just silly. Are execs really this stupid?

Now Fried Chicken is blaming the "uploading" of the song as the reason MJ's vocals don't sound right. This damn idiot just won't admit he is wrong. If I wasn't so pissed about all this..I would laugh. Skip to the bold to see Roger's justifications/excuses.

In our continuing series on the making ofMichael Jackson‘s forthcoming “Michael” album:

Producers of the album–including co-executor John McClain–sent Burt Bacharach a song Michael recorded withEddie Cascio called “All I Need.”

The legendary writer-producer went into the studio and added strings, etc. to the track. But it didn’t sound right, sources tell me, and was ultimately rejected. “All I Need,” in some form, may wind up on another album of unreleased Jackson songs. But it won’t be on “Michael.”

Also not on “Michael” is the Paul Ankasong, “Love Never Felt So Good.” I guess the Jackson estate paid out enough money to Anka in the last year for writing “This Is It.”

The “Michael” album is not quite finalized, I’m told, but will have to be by Friday. Right now there are three “Cascio” tracks including “Breaking News.” Fans are complaining about “Breaking News” on the Jackson website because it doesn’t sound right to them. Folks, it really is Michael singing on that song. The finished version on the album may sound more like him. Part of the problem may have been in the uploading to the website.

“Breaking News” only streams through Sunday. On Monday, the first actual single is released–with Akon–called “Hold My Hand.” I’ve heard a lot of the tracks, and I can tell you–they are by Michael. Michael’s nephew,Taryll Jackson, knows that, too. Despite his campaign to discredit the album, Taryll was around when the tracks were being put together. More will come out about this soon. Conspiracy theories are fun, but buying into them is just going to cheat true Michael Jackson fans out of a great experience. “Michael” is shaping up to be a very solid project.

Fried Chicken continues to show folks he's as gullible as they come. Clearly he can not be serious with his statement that there was problems with the song being uploaded to the site. It's already been augmented by folks on YouTube and the vocals are not a MJ trademark. Not shocked Sony would have a meeting about this. I have a funny feeling BN and any other song that has augmented vocals will be cut and the album will have a delay again. I'm sensing it now.

It's not about sounding strained or smooth, it's simply not him.

And if "MJ ay 49 years old" sang Off The Wall tracks I'm sure most people would be able to recognize it as him.

there are tools to tell if a person is an impersonator or not and if it is (and I'm damn sure it is) they will be called on it. I really don't think we need to worry about it, us fans do need to make some ruckus though. It's not michael, it sounds like a white man imitating michael, there isn't the graininess that michael has in his voice, nasally it doesn't sound like Mike, or even a black guy to me. I think we'll get it taken care of as fans though.
