Look Murph, how do you know that? What evidence, exactly, do you have of that?

Then again: how, exactly, do you know that?

Nobody is complaining about her comment concerning Michael being addicted to plastic surgery. What we are complaining about, though, is the lack of aftermath comment; she could have told the world the reasons as to why her son changed into the way he looked. But that would hurt Jackson Family lovers like you, as some of them would be cited as reasons. And yes, it does take away from one's greatness and dignity (surprise!) when one's mother goes on national TV and calls the son who gave her the world, since the age of 5, a junkie, a liar, a lowlife and a plastic surgery addict.

Then again, the evidence of him being an addict is ZERO. But that kinda bursts the bubble for the ever devoted Jackson Family fans.

Its fans like MOL who are scary. Anyone who can remembers MJ before Thriller, would know that MJ was addicted to surgery. As long ago as the Bad era there were rumours that his mother was aghast by MJ plastic surgery. Just because Katherine is his mother it doesn't mean she should behave like a craze fan and taKE THE LINE HE ONLY HAD TWO NOSE JOBS and make him sound like a saint, he wasn't a saint. By Katherine stating the obvious about MJ it shows she wasn't blind to her sons' flaws, unlike some craze fans.

yeah, janet tried so hard that years would go by before she would see him, by her own admission, and katherine only asked him about his addiction ONCE by her own admission and came to the conclusion that he was in denial. neither of them seemed to be able to call up the dcfs and get his kids taken away from him ... 'cause you know, they were trying to help him. get the eff outta with that madness. mad

Where did I deny MJ had flaws?

Where did I say I believed the freaky nonsense about him having two PLSs?

Where did I deny he was addicted to PLS?

Where did I elevate him to sainthood?

The only thing I criticized in KJ's comment regarding MJ's obvious PLS obsession was the fact that she did not specify the reasons as to why he changed himself. And those reasons would hurt many Jfam fans, including, perhaps, you, and that's why you shifted the conversation and quickly used the old "MJ had flaws, you're an worshipper" trick.

Easy, uh?

I think you are applying the word "fandom" to the wrong person, homie....lol... If anything, I'm a realist...I'm a person who understands that MJ had his faults and demons and I don't balk at the mere mention of such a reality... The only way such a statement takes away from the greatness of MJ is if YOU worship MJ as a God... I don't....James Brown had demons...Jimi Hendrix had demons...Billie Holiday had demons....Marvin Gaye had demons...And the list goes on and on... And these acts are still revered as icons... Get my point?

Well Mike's done and dusted so it's really a pointless debate.

Of course no dates were ever offered up for when these Janet/Family-led interventions supposedly took place. MJ's more hardcore/deranged fans can tell you what city he was in at any given moment so it was better for them to be vague rather than be revealed to be liars.

Yeah. Even if interventions were staged, they would have to give out dates if they were in court and if they don't have any, they'll lose any control they'll hope to have over any control of his estate. Fame can sometimes brainwash a person no matter how good they appear to be to their own family. I can be willing to believe Michael had problems. No one's denying that but I just think everything that's come out with the "fake songs", the Oprah interview, the denials or confirmations of Michael contributing is coincidental and is enough to wanna explode.

Dr Murray's defence might call them on that too, you never know. I'm sure Michael's supposed 'addictions' will come up in some capacity and anyone from the family claiming interventions took place will get asked about that i'm sure.

It'd be a shame if The Jacksons got him off the hook by running their mouths off, but it really wouldn't surpise me.neutral

I wouldn't either. confused

To me it seemed like his family is jumping from one conclusion to another.

Like for someone to claim that they were murdered and then say "yeah we have interventions", maybe to the average joe, it makes sense but when you're about to go to court, it could hamper anybody trying to put someone away from misjudging their oath as a doctor.

Again guys...I think some clarity is needed here...Saying MJ was addicted to plastic surgery is totally different than saying he was strung out on certain drugs.... No one's talking about the plastic surgery. It ain't like Katherine was saying about that part was breaking news. We were just mentioning the family's comments prior to Oprah. Maybe she didn't say the drug shit on Oprah, maybe she still believes her son wasn't on drugs, we're not even talking about his surgeries lol

Oh yeah I still love how Joe's trying to defend an image that was tampered to begin with. lol I also didn't like Katherine's statement. Come on, there was more to it than physical discipline.

Michael Jackson's Kids, Parents Join Oprah: Talk Plastic Surgery, Beatings and…French Toast?

It was a morning of firsts on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

For the first time, Katherine Jackson admitted that her son was addicted to plastic surgery. For the first time, after much umbrage taken with the term, Joe Jackson admitted that he beat his children. And for the first time, thanks to daughter Paris, the world learned about Michael Jackson's hidden talent.

Namely, making French toast.

MORE: Is the new Michael single legit?

The wide-ranging interview took place at the Jackson's Encino compound, and while it started out with Katherine, the duo was soon joined by Joe, then Paris, Prince Michael and the exceeding shy (yet pretty adorable) Blanket, along with the other Jackson kids that live at the house.

But mostly, it was about Michael, and while the topic of his controversial single and upcoming Sony album was not even remotely touched upon (the sitdown took place several weeks ago), Katherine did explain why she chose to release a book about her son, Never Can Say Goodbye.

"I wanted to do it for his fans and for the people that misunderstood him…I think of my son all through the day, all the time. I don't like to talk about him because I…," she said, tearing up. "It comes to my mind everyday, yes it does."

Despite the hardship clearly evident in discussing her son's life, Katherine didn't shy away from the talking points about her son, and proceeded to handle every question thrown at her.

First up: plastic surgery. Katherine said that Michael hated his appearance beginning in adolescence and one day announced he would be getting a nose job.

"He didn't want to start looking 'like a spotted cow,' he said," Katherine explained of his multiple skin surgeries to treat his vitiligo. "I don't know what in the world he did to change that, but he did."

As for Michael's claim on Oprah several years ago that he only ever underwent two surgeries in his life, both on his nose, Katherine said, "He had more than two, he was just embarrassed."

"I hear that people get addicted to plastic surgery, and I think that's what happened to him. I said, that's enough."

Though neither he nor his plastic surgeon, with whom Katherine also had a word, listened.

Next up for talking points, Michael's marriage to Lisa Marie Presley.

"It was a surprise for me, he called me after he had married her," Katherine said, saying that Michael put Lisa Marie on the phone to speak with her, though she didn't believe at first that she was actually talking to Presley.

"She had a heavy voice and I didn't know that," she said, adding in a whisper (and yielding some laughs from Winfrey), "She sounded like a black girl."

The majority of the interview, however, was spent discussing Michael's death on June 25, and the life choices that led to that tragic day.

"The worst day of my life," a teary Katherine began. "My heart dropped. And so they called me and said come to the hospital. Michael's in the hospital."

She said that she had an immediate feeling that he might be dead, but that nobody would tell her anything for some time.

"I kind of felt it, but I was wishing that it wouldn't be…They made the doctor tell me. The doctor had to tell us…Dr. Murray."

Yes, that would be Dr. Conrad Murray.

"He came out, and he was talking and it took him so long." Finally, Katherine asked, "Did he make it?"

"He said, 'No, he's gone.' That's all I remember," she said, tearing up. "I'm sorry."

As for Murray, who is facing an involuntary manslaughter charge for Jackson, Katherine said she's thought "a thousand times" what she would say to him.

"Why didn't he take care of my child? Why did he give that [propofol] to him? It's very dangerous, why did he do it?

"I can't accuse him of murder, I don't know if it was accidentally done or it was intentionally done. I don't want to get into that, but I have my thoughts…I don't think I'll ever, ever be healed….It hurts."

Also hurtful was Michael's drug addiction, which he continually denied, even as the family attempted to hold an intervention.

"I spoke to him about [drugs] once, when I had heard it and he denied it. I was telling him I didn't want to one day hear that he had overdosed because it would break my heart…He kept saying, 'My own mother don't believe me.'

"Part of me wanted to believe him, but I didn't believe him."

Katherine said that the hardships in Michael's life led to his addiction, specifically naming his trial for child-molestation as a turning point.

"All his life he had to go through stuff like this and it was trying on him," she said, adding that she never once questioned his innocence. "'I'd rather slit my own wrists than hurt a child,' he'd always say that."

The duo was then joined by Joe Jackson, and both he and Katherine insisted, despite nearly universal beliefs to the contrary, that they were divorced.

Oprah wasted no time in pressing him on his relationship with Michael, particularly his child's claims that he was severely beaten as a boy, something which Joe has always denied.

And today was no different, though this time around, Katherine had had just about enough.

"I don't think he was afraid of me," Joe began. "I never beat him. That never happened."

"You might as well admit it, that's the way black people raised their children," Katherine interjected. "He used a strap."

That settles that, then.

"I don't [regret the beatings]," Joe said. "It kept them out of jail and kept them right."

Oprah then gathered all the children together to chat about their father and their current life.

Paris and Prince Michael are now enrolled in regular school (with eyes toward being an actress and music and movie producer, respectively), though Blanket, the most shy of the bunch, is still being home schooled. However, that might change next year, when he will be ready to enter the fourth grade.

The children were asked about their childhoods, in particular going out in public with masks and veils on their heads—something Katherine noted earlier was not Michael's idea, but actually the brainchild of the kids' biological mother Debbie Rowe.

None of them seemed to have any problem with the unusual disguises.

"When we did go out without our dad, other people wouldn't recognize us," Paris explained. "He tried to raise us without [us] knowing who he was, but that didn't go so well."

"I kinda felt like no one understands what a good father he was," she said. "I'd say he was the best cook ever. He was just a normal dad, except he was the best dad.

"He made the best French toast in the world." Who knew?

"A day doesn't pass," Katherine said. "Sometimes I just hate myself for thinking about it. It's something I just can't help. I think about it with a smile sometimes. Things he used to do when he was a little boy. He always stays on my mind. His memory is with me. They can never take that away

Oh yeah I still love how Joe's trying to defend an image that was tampered to begin with. lol I also didn't like Katherine's statement. Come on, there was more to it than physical discipline.

Actually, there were quite a few MJ fans complaining about Mrs. Jackson's "plastic surgery" statement during the Oprah interview...That's what I was referring to...If I mixed u up in my post, then my apologies.... But I stand by my previous posts.....

I just think months back and Katherine denied Michael was an addict (to some degree), now this. I didn't look at the entire interview but now I see what she said, interesting how she's suddenly putting this out. And she can't quite say that Murray murdered her pride and joy. Hmmm, I just hope the fams don't do anything foolish like make a thread about how they hate Katherine. confused I get it we're angry but damn I just wonder sometimes.

It's MJ, get over it.

No offense, but you are deaf. Maybe besides some of the background vocals this is NOT Michael Jackson singing. Not in the least. There are too many things that are present in MJ's singing which just aren't present here. Also, I can't understand why the instrumentation is much louder than the vocalist. Did Teddy do that? In all of MJ's songs in his solo catalog, and even the demos, his vocals are always crystal clear. In this one the voice of the lead vocalist is overwhelmed by everything else. It's kind of frustrating.

For the sake of the album, the fans, consumers, and the man's legacy, Sony should take that song right off the album. It doesn't belong there. I really can't believe that they would do this. I simply REFUSE to buy a Michael Jackson album that contains a song where MJ isn't singing the lead vocals. Are you fucking kidding me?!

KISS MY ASS SONY.

You can REFUSE to buy it but unfortunately you don't KNOW it's not Michael. I've listened to everything MJ has ever recorded many many times, seen him in concert, christ I was even at his last ever public appearance @ the O2.. Big Fan. I'm a musician and producer and make a living from it. I've listened to Breaking News today about 20 times over and cannot understand the uproar regarding the vocals.

Can people stop saying it's "DEFINITELY NOT MICHAEL" when you don't know. It's been pretty much 10 years since anyone has heard his voice on a recording. They are demo vocals that have been processed the hell out of, the originals were probably out of tune and "scratch" vocals and these were ok "just to listen back", I can 100% see him asking to delete the other vocal takes. Michael may not have been happy to have them released if he were still alive but I think the song is great and IMO it's f***ing him singing. As for the Jackson families opinion... Most of them live in a paranoid bubble full of conspiracy theories to do with racism. I'm glad that Sony is in charge of Michael's music instead of his demonic father.

The End

There are things that the family do that makes me go okay sometimes but it’s getting on my nerves. You can clearly tell his mother is in pain over the death of her son, and I feel the fans feel like they are owed something , Like we need to know every detail from his family or his camp. Michael had issues but it doesn’t take away his talent. A lot of the fans are into deep and need to shut up and just enjoy this man’s music. I chose to leave Michael forums and I’m thinking about giving this thread a rest as well I don’t want to but it’s pissing me off.

Nobody complained about KJ's comment regarding MJ's obvious PLS obsession. The only thing I complained over was the fact that she should have specified the reasons as to why Michael changed in to the way he looked.

Woke up this morning and the same discussions going on, lol.

Give it time people. The truth will come out one way or another.

Some will be right. Some will be wrong.

If I'm wrong in my assessment I'll admit it.

Listening to it again this morning I still say it's 80% MJ with others on accent words eg "JACKSON" and backing vocals / harmonies.

If i'm wrong you'll read it hear first razz

BTW that isn't Teddy on the radio interview razz (joke)

Oh and important to note that TR said he wasn't paid for this job - so he has nothing to defend but his own integrity.

We are in the minority here SWA.. I think time will prove us right. Maybe the prominent "JACKSON" harmonies that are obviously not Mike has tricked people into not thinking it's him. If I'm proved wrong I will come back on here and apologize..

Thanks SO much for the recap bboy. You and Timmy are simply the best!

Gosh, these past few days have felt like the ultimate episodes of daytime soap

opera TV. Tune in tomorrow to discover how Debbie Rowe was involved in

the background vocals for the songs produced by Dark Child that didn't make

the final cut for the "new" album. lol

One serious question:

Any word from MJdata bank beyond their statement yet?
