Unpopular Opinions...again!!!!!

Jay-z was/is just as much as a Biggie dick rider as Diddy.

Confessions was not a good album.

Nastradamus was not as bad as people make it seem like.

Nas's "N***er" > Hip Hop is Dead

It Takes Two is such a lame song, same goes for Rapper's Delight.

Phife Dog was lyrically better than Q-tip, but Q-tip's voice was/is more appealing to listen to at times.

Beats, Rhymes, and Life is a much stronger and more mature album than Midnight Mauraders.

Juelz Santana is a better rapper than Cam'ron.

The Neptunes have better beats than Timbaland.

J Dilla was/is the best producer in Hip Hop music.

Common, sometimes, can be more lyrically complexed than Nas.

Jay-z was/is . . . He benefitted from the void that Biggie left. He never would have been as big if Biggie had lived, though Biggie may never have been the cultural zeitgeist Mr. Carter is now, but that's another story.

It Takes Two is such a lame song, same goes for Rapper's Delight. Wow. No.

Phife Dog was lyrically better than Q-tip, but Q-tip's voice was/is more appealing to listen to at times. Phife made up a lot of ground between People's and Low End, and got better with time but no. Q-Tip was always the better MC.

Beats, Rhymes, and Life is a much stronger and more mature album than Midnight Mauraders. Mature? Yes. Better? Not really. "Electric Relaxation" alone is better than anything on BR&L.

J Dilla was/is the best producer in Hip Hop music. Couldn't agree more.

Common, sometimes, can be more lyrically complexed than Nas. When he applies himself.

Which is why this thread is called unpopular opinions, and It Takes Two and Rapper's Delight are lame songs. lol

JaRule, even though I used to like him, was always a DMX rip-off.

Leave Me Alone and Man In The Mirror are the best songs on Bad.

Ludacris is better than most southern rappers nowadays.

De La Soul is really not that great and Leader of The New School was more interesting to listen to.

Ashanti was NEVER a good singer.

Beyonce needs better material

Ma$e should have never made that comeback in '04.

--Correction--Milli Vanilli 's producers made some catchy songs

--The Boondocks has made some of the best music in the past 3 years (Homies over Hoes, D*** Riding for Obama, Eff Grandad)

--Ain't No Sunshine is superior to Lean on Me

--Tom Petty is way underrated in the rock world.

--Riders on the Storm (The Doors) is their best song

--Due to the way multi media is now, "underground" music really does not exist. It is just an underplayed/underpromoted version of whatever happening in the mainstream.

--George Harrison growth was hindered by the McCartney/Lennon catalogue.

--Body Count was a decent rap/rock group

--Nickelback and Creed are the two worst groups of the past 15 years

--American Idol was/is/always will be garbage

--Although the Beatles were the most influential group of the classic rock era, Queen was the most musically diverse.

--The Sex Pistols were overrated

-Ice Cube's "Death Certificate">"The Predator"

-The Chronic is a CLASSIC album, regardless of genre.

--Nas Illmatic was his strongest album

--George Michael is one of the greatest vocalists of all time.

--Aerosmith >Kiss

--MJ needs a proper and final tribute concert to end all tribute concerts. No more of the quickly pasted together award show tributes with flubbed lyrics, tacky presentation, and no real sense of who MJ was. His impact was cross genre and cross generational and his tribute should reflect this.

Hell, Jack Black is more interesting than Sir John Gielgud but that doesn't say much.

They have good beats though, but not as good as the ones ATCQ had.

No I.D. and The 9th Wonder are painfully underrated.

Guru, and as much as I like him, really need Premier!!!!

Redman is nothing without Method Man.

Rakim will always be GOAT rapper, no matter what anyone says.

The Clash really didn't have that many good songs.

Cal Tjader was/is one of the best Latin Jazz musicians of all time.

Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes were really nothing without Teddy P.

Some of Curtis Mayfield's songs are actually better than Prince's songs.

Ernie Isley is a very underrated guitarist.
