Yep, Mj took it from the vault and gave it to sa-fire to re-record it

but the song (this is it) was performed at the rehearsals? right?

Okay, so "This Is It" WAS written in 1980 & demoed by MJ in 1990-1991 for Sa-fire? It's a possibility he never even recorded it in the 80's (since we all know MJ would write a song but won't record it until years later).

The exact date of when the song was written is simply unknown, it was written in the 80's , sa-fire obviously needed a song and Mj gave it to her and she did her own version , all we know that sa-fire did her version in 1991...

Plus, I think its safe to say that there is a demo version for every song that was written, Mj writes and records.....

Besides.....Fuck sony.

Okay, here's the thing:

This Is It was written and recorded in 1980 for either Triumph or possibly another project but didn't get released. Michael tried it out for Dangerous aroun 1989 or 1990 but then gave it to Safire

Then he decided to take his version out and give one more try when the o2 shows were getting set up

Yeah that's what I figured. It bothers me when they try and pass something off as "original" when it's not even from the original sessions. (i.e how they tried to pass off "For All Time" as the original demo from the Thriller session knowing damn well that demo was during the Dangerous session)

I was just watching "Moonwalker" and it made me think, if Michael never had vitiligo (stayed his natural brown color) and didn't go over board with his face, could you see him performing songs such as "Jam" or "Scream"? Do you think MJ would have kept his jheri curl look (Thriller era) or do you think he would have grew his hair out like he did? So many questions

I think That Michael was human just like us all and that he would have grew and changed his style just as any one or any artist in their our unique way. artists are always changing growing creating. perhaps he may have had to adjust certain things having the skin disorder, but it's human nature to go through changes no matter what..and when you're creative you have a need to express that in many ways throught your art your style.
although I think Michael always seemed to keep a classic signature look.
I still see him doing those songs. I strongly believe that he had so much more to show of his creativity

the jheri curl was a fad, how many people do u still wearing it.

michael wrote alot of songs about his experience especially on his hsitory album so u can't tell if he would have written those songs cause he may have not had the experiences he had.

Yeah thats true, but think about how Michaels hair would have looked. You think it would have been long and straight like how he had it during the Dangerous and HIStory tour? You think he would have had a fade, low cut? Could you see him with his Thriller era face, wearing the opening outfit from the Dangerous or HIStory tour? Things like that. I just couldnt see him performing the newer songs as "brown" Michael.

I hate that the normal doll really doesnt look like him. I think its the eyes that they got totally wrong. It does look like someone though, can't put my finger on it. I love the zombie version though, its the spitting image of the real zombie look.

Ironically, MJ in latter years seem to keep his natural, hair short and cover it up with wigs, according to the autopsy reports.
