See, now you're trying to get me started. I hated "Ghosts" for the same reason. lol I can tolerate "Ghosts" more than I can the long version of "Smooth Criminal" because he drug that damn scene out for an eternity where he turned into a robot. I don't think I've ever watched it without having to fast forward through some of it. lol

lol "Ghosts" really could have been a classic. It's a shame it got weighed down by his egomania and playing the victim card too much. The dancing was good (when he stopped preening and posing), the visuals were great and I thought he gave a good performance as the mayor. But that constant cutting to show the adulation on the little boys faces was cringe-inducing, and the dialogue was bad ("I want you to get out of town...freaky boy"). disbelief

I missed that cinematic nouse he showed in "Thriller", the Smooth Criminal sequence and hell, even "Who is it?". Maybe he just needed a decent director to reign him in.

I could taste the vomit coming up to my throat during those parts. lol

You must be picturing Michael Jackson of the 2000s. Hell, that's enough to make someone go impotent. lol It's easier if you think of "Off The Wall" or "Thriller" Michael Jackson. I wouldn't call him sexy back then by no means though, just cute.

I would. Although he would have had to drop that baby voice. I find it mildly annoying.

he was so sexy back then, i dig the androgyny thing and "masculine" mj...if there ever was such a thing.

i agree the baby voice, although it was fake. maybe we couldve convinced him to talk normally lol

I know. I don't care if he does it for the public but if I was going to have a relationship w/ him he just CAN'T talk like that. It's a turn-off.

The year that Michael Jackson won all the awards for "Thriller" and everyone heard his voice giving all those acceptance speeches, afterwards, there was a rumor going around that he was taking female hormones to make his voice higher. That's probably the very first Michael Jackson rumor I remember hearing.

Sometimes a kid other times too feminine. I guess he felt the need to be little Michael so he didn't use his deep voice that much. But then because of that the majority of the public literally think that he's a eunuch or something.

ive watched all these mj interviews and that to me makes him one of the greatest entertainers. dude could not even make eye contact with whoever was interviewing him, then got up on stage and just killed it.

if he's not THE greatest entertainer ever then he's the greatest celebrity ever.

mj givin me insomnia, bed time. zzz

i think she is the greatest performer ever. singer, dancer, actor unstoppable, she's slowed down a bit but she's untouchable. she's barely 5'3" but she fills up an arena with stage presence

^^ Consider yourself LUCKY not to have seen it. I saw it ONE TIME when they had it on MTV, and I was like "is this Mike's attempt to do Star Wars w/Thriller-esque beats?" lol

I saw Captain EO in 3d when I was a kid. At the time, it one of the most incredible things that I had ever seen. The mere fact that we are all remembering our favorite dance scenes from his movies, is all the more reason why he was one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived. Those scenes entertained us. The only reason why I watched "Thriller", is because of the grave yard scene. What made "Moonwalker", for me was "Smooth Criminal".

Stage presence? No. I think Prince and Madonna have him beaten in that regard, as do others. Again, just my opinion.

Madonna? L-O-L!!!

The Only? I think Beatles and Elvis fans might differ on that point.

MJ is definitely a popular kids artist no doubt, but i have a feeling you guys will outgrow him when you grow up...or at least should

i'm 23...been a fan since i was little. should I outgrow him?

exactly. I'm going to be 22 in November and I still love the music (probably more than I did when I was younger) and I know people who are well into their 40s, 50s, and 60s who love his music

I grew up listening to MJ, Stevie, Marvin, all of Motown, Prince, and others. How do I outgrow something that's part of the fabric of my DNA? lol

No one will ever outgrow the music. nod
Especially music that you knew from childhood, some of its images, maybe, but the music? NAH!
