call me crazy but if i had my choice to watch for eternity

the beatles live (at their peak)
or michael jackson live (at his peak)

i'd say mj all the way

right the beatles are boring imo.

They have some good songs. I like Yesterday a lot but I prefer the way Donny Hathaway sang it. But overall I'm not into them.

Oh, I love the edited version that they play on television all the time without the children, the dog, the race car, the robot, and the space ship. They should call it the "adult version" lol

Yeah that's what I meant. I have to admit though every time I saw MJ gets chased, or get into the storyline with the kids and the dog, and him turning into those objects, I ran away from the TV. I only wanted to see MJ dance. Same thing with "Ghosts". lol

Only parts I cared for in "Ghosts" was the "2Bad", the skeleton dance, and the mayor freestyle dance scenes ..

Who knows? MJ was always sending mixed signals. In interviews, he was past it, in others, he still felt as if he should've played more. You never knew with Michael. confused

See, now you're trying to get me started. I hated "Ghosts" for the same reason. lol I can tolerate "Ghosts" more than I can the long version of "Smooth Criminal" because he drug that damn scene out for an eternity where he turned into a robot. I don't think I've ever watched it without having to fast forward through some of it. lol

Yeah. I had the same with "Captain EO", lol.

"Thriller" was perfect in that he only said a few lines and danced/lip-sync in the video more, lol. Plus it was ONLY 14 minutes, the other videos stretched to 30-40! eek lol

I always skipped the robot part. Only thing I remember is MJ chasing the guys who kidnapped that girl and going "do it and you're dead", when he started to get attacked, I changed the channel. falloff When I turned back, I was like "wtf?!" when he turned into a robot. I was like "OK, it was fine when he turned into a rabbit and it was aight that he became a car but this is too much!" Then he turned into a spaceship, I was fucking THROUGH! falloff

I've never seen "Captain EO". But as for "Thriller", the subject matter of the acting was cool, it was about horror and Michael was with other adults and acting like an adult himself. That running around with children and acting like a child himself was the absolute definition of uncool and is what first started turning people off to him even before the molestation accusations. Teenagers buy the most music and always have and teens are rebellious. The last thing they want to see is something kiddie.

sad

i think if someone had given mj a script where he had NO control to add in some kiddie themes he wouldve done a great job, beginning of thriller doesn't bother me.

I still haven't seen that movie in it's entirety. I rented the video tape years ago and the first thing that pissed me off, was when I got ready to dub it, the damn thing had copyguard on it. Then I said to myself, well I'll at least get to finally see the money even if I can't record it to keep. After about 15 minutes, the sound started dropping and coming back up. Then, I could hear the damn tape starting to get wound up inside the player. I immediately took the worn out tape out of my VCR because I didn't want to be responsible for it once it got tangled up in the machine and ruined.

From the crotch grabbing? That's from all those years of masturbating because he wasn't having sex. I can't blame him though, I'd do the same thing. Hell, I have sex and still masturbate. lol

lol "Ghosts" really could have been a classic. It's a shame it got weighed down by his egomania and playing the victim card too much. The dancing was good (when he stopped preening and posing), the visuals were great and I thought he gave a good performance as the mayor. But that constant cutting to show the adulation on the little boys faces was cringe-inducing, and the dialogue was bad ("I want you to get out of town...freaky boy"). disbelief

I missed that cinematic nouse he showed in "Thriller", the Smooth Criminal sequence and hell, even "Who is it?". Maybe he just needed a decent director to reign him in.

Haha! Right! Only part I actually like in Captain EO is "Another Part of Me", mostly for the music (that bassline is kickass!)

You must be picturing Michael Jackson of the 2000s. Hell, that's enough to make someone go impotent. lol It's easier if you think of "Off The Wall" or "Thriller" Michael Jackson. I wouldn't call him sexy back then by no means though, just cute.
