More power 2 Ms Winfrey but I've never cared 4 the woman or her show.

Yes, but at least she gives back to the community.

all she does is cater to white women. White people in general. I like her show and everything but correct if i'm wrong but i haven't seen a lot of shows where she discusses black issues. I remember watching Ricki Lake and they were talking about the down low problem in the african american community as well as other shows on racism and interracial dating that Ricki has done. I also heard that there was an interview in the late eighties where she said she wished she was white.

Regardless to whom she caters to.

Truth is her actions speak for themselves,,,,,and she like Uptown said, gave a great deal back to the community. Thats what counts.

I'm already fimiliar with her "Anti-black male" complex, but her personality issues are neither here nor there and they shouldn't be relevant because god knows ALL of us have demons of our own.

I DO hope she works them out(and it seems to me that she's trying) because whether we like it or not,,,,she's a big influence on many people.

Guess what?

Like Oprah and a shit LOAD of black people who lived/live in US of A, Mike suffered from "slave mentality" as well, I love him but thats what I saw,,,and I guess, giving back to the community is an attempt to heal from that.

yeah i liked ricki lake whatever happened to her.

oprah sucks. i think she was raped by her uncle (???) so she's probably extra sensitive to the whole pedophilia thing. but just b/c it happened to her doesn't mean she should pass judgment on michael.

Maybe I'm wrong for saying this, and I know that Oprah is a ratings whore, but why did Oprah have to say anything about MJ after he was aquitted back in 05? Kinda like people saying that Prince had to make a statement about MJ after he passed away?

No you're not wrong.

And no I don't think she's obligated to make a statement either,,,,,but since she's highly influential, I guess there was an anticipation for her to make one.

It makes no difference to me whether she made one or not,,,,,it wouldn't undo this loss.

One word: CUNT.

Sorry it had to be said. She is strictly doing this for ratings. She had plenty of chances during Michael's last few years to reach out for interviews or even after his NOT GUILTY verdict to support someone, but now suddenly after his death and he is buried in the ground, she suddenly champions him as some african american revolutionary.

What a total phony.

This is the side of some MJ fans that scares folks....It's not that serious...
