Dogfight Shaping Up in Jackson Probate

Posted Jul 29th 2009 9:21AM by TMZ Staff

Katherine Jackson's lawyer is officially squaring off with the two men Michael Jackson selected to handle his estate, claiming the co-executors are intentionally trying to keep Jackson's mom in the dark.

Londell McMillan just issued a statement making it clear -- he wants Katherine to become a co-executor. McMillan claims the co-executors -- John Branca and John McClain -- are not letting Katherine see the agreement Jackson signed with AEG. ... which McMillan says could be a huge source of income for the estate.

McMillan claims the co-executors are imposing unreasonable demands on Katherine -- requiring her to make special promises of confidentiality for the benefit of AEG.

The co-executors have maintained all along they were the ones Michael selected to manage the estate and they are doing their job.

One thing is clear -- it's getting ugly.

UPDATE 9:43 AM ET Reps for the co-executors just issued a statement, saying the only thing the co-executors asked of Mrs. Jackson is a confidentiality agreement with respect to the AEG agreement but her lawyers refused. They also say it's apparent Katherine's lawyers want to "rewrite Michael's will to make Mrs. Jackson 'Guardian of the Estate' and have her appointed as an executor" ... the co-executors say it's just not what Michael wanted and he said so in his will.

How funny. I'm sure Michael made a more recent will than 2002. John Branca isn't letting Michael's mother see the agreement between AEG?

Dr. Murray -- Asleep on His Mortgage Payments
Posted Jul 29th 2009 1:15AM by TMZ Staff

More bad news for Dr. Conrad Murray -- the bank is trying to foreclose on his Las Vegas home ... the one that was filled with DEA agents yesterday.

According to the Clark County Recorder's Office, Dr. Murray owes more than $15,000 in back payments to Irwin Union Bank.

Sources tell us Murray recently took out a $1.6 million loan -- but the bank says he stopped paying back in January, and now they have just filed a "Notice of Default" document.

In order to keep the house, Murray not only has to come up with the $15k -- he is also responsible for any possible late fees, unpaid taxes and insurance costs he may have accrued.

Hmmm!

If Dr Murray was a new MJ employee (employed by AEG), who was administering the Diprivan before him? Diprivan is not easy to administer and he was alleged to have been taking it for two years.

Personal Chef Recalls Dramatic Details of Michael Jackson's Death
By Michael Park
July 29, 2009

Michael Jackson's personal chef says Dr. Conrad Murray was a fixture at the household of Michael Jackson – so much so that when his routine changed the day of Jackson's death, she knew something was wrong.

"I thought maybe Mr. Jackson was sleeping late," Kai Chase, hired by Jackson to cook the family meals, told the Associated Press of the morning of June 25, when she noticed that the singer's doctor had not come down Jackson's bedroom carrying a pair of oxygen tanks, as he did every morning.

The truth quickly became apparent when Murray ran down the stairs yelling out for Jackson's oldest child, Prince Michael. "'Go get Prince!' He's screaming very loud," Chase tells the Associated Press. "I run into the den where the kids are playing. Prince runs to meet Dr. Murray and from that point on you could feel the energy in the house change. I walked into the hall and I saw the children there. The daughter was crying. I saw paramedics running up the stairs."

Chase says she joined the children, their nanny, and the housekeeper in praying for Jackson's health, but it was too late – the pop icon was dead.

The celebrity chef, 37, hired by Jackson in March, says the Jacksons' was a happy home, with a focus on healthy living.

Jackson, preparing for a series of comeback concerts in London, had fruit drinks and granola for breakfast every morning, and ate healthy foods like chicken and spinach salad for lunch with the kids.

Dinners might include a seared tuna steak, and Dr. Murray was often a guest at the table. Jackson's daughter, Paris, 11, started each meal by saying grace, Chase says.

As for Chase, who expected to go to London with the family, she plans on publishing a cookbook – an idea that Jackson encouraged. The book will focus on her time with the family.

"He was an inspiration to me," she says.

As for that Chef´s story? What do they mean by that?

Even if MJ survived, there are chances he would have had brain damage sad

I was listening to CNN yesterday they said Paramedics say the first 5 minutes of finding the person not breathing is the most crucial point, and after that brain damage starts occurring.

Of course, I know. But I just find it impossible to believe.

Anyways, here´s a great video. I´dlove to have it in a better quality, especially the sound cause the songs´s fantastic.

It would appear that Murray routinely remove the used tanks from MJ's bedroom each morning and replace them with full ones later.

The drug’s label says that oxygen must be immediately available to someone under the influence of Propofol. An anesthesiologist must continuously monitor a patient given the drug because it can cause breathing problems that can lead to cardiac arrest, according to experts.

Reportedly, two of the side effects of patients emerging from Propofol anesthesia include mild euphoria & hallucinations. Take from that what you will.

Imago

I have been critical of MJ for many years, often poking fun at him. And truth be told, although I think he's more talented than most of the singer/performers you see today, I'm not really what you would call a fan.

However, it was Micheal Jackson that got me into music. Back in the early 80s, pop music was like a dead, catchy, rehash of 70's disco, but with short guitar solos or heavy reliance on synthesizers. That's not to say there weren't really great acts bubbling up in the music scene--but what MTV and the radio stations were throwing our way was relatively homogenized music that fit into safe little categories. All the songs had little guitar solos, and seldom went over 3 1/2 minutes in length.

What was black was black, and what was white was white in pop music. Sure, Prince's 1999 was a great blend of genres and traditional R&B, funk, married to 'white' rock elements. But 1999 (and Prince) weren't really a part of the national pyche.

It was Micheal Jackson's Thriller that blew me away when it was released. The video for Beat It was everything music videos on MTV was lacking. MJ took elements from classic musical/dance movies like West Side Story and made them gritty, modern, and downright awe-inspiring. Even today when I see the video for Beat It or Thriller, I'm still impressed.

There was nothing like it before Jackson. Nothing.
What was most unique about the situation (if any of you can still recall) was that the music industry was in a lull just prior to the release of Thriller.
Michael Jackson got people excited about buying music. I mean, prior to MJ, a few kids owned Rick Springfield, Bryan Adams, or Olivia Newton John tapes, but after MJ, EVERYBODY was rushingout to buy music.
The entire music industry--not just MJ fans benefited from his success. It was a phenomenon.

Although within a year from the album's released, I discovered and fell in love with Prince, and MJ became like an embarrassing old girlfriend I'd rather just forget about, looking back I realized it was MJ--not Prince--that set me on my musical journeys in youth and to some extent today. It was MJ that made me see music is more than just catchy songs you listened to while playing with your friends.

So, yeah. Even in my cynical old age, not being an MJ fan in the slightest, he still left a mark on my life.
