I really applaud you for even telling us this-it takes a strong person to be able to deal with any addiction. I for one am not blaming anyone for the death of MJ-it will happen to use all eventually. But you can't deny the facts that these doctors and other takers share some responsibility. There comes a time when you have to say "NO" even to Michael Jackson.

if Michael wanted to stop he could have easily fired the enablers and gotten help. Michael's issue would probably be complicated that he's hasn't been told NO since he was probably a kid. The family fortune rested in him so I'm sure at some point he realized that he could do whatever he wanted when he was yonger and was never taught otherwise. But than I look at people like QEII who has been an icon since birth or his Janet or Kylie who's been on tv since she was 7 and they seem to be more grounded than he is.

I said in a previous post that I don't blame everything on the doctor i'm not blind to the fact that michael was addict and I didn't know he had a drug problem before , I heard something a long time ago about a addiction but never knew he had it that bad . sad

I definitely dig what you're saying here. As sad as it is, the issue with MJ is more complex than what even some of us who are fans like to believe.

I am definately puzzled about what happened to him. There are just more questions than answers. It would have been easy MJ to say MJ was an addict, but things just don´t look that easy to me.

Damn, that Dick Gregory interview is in such a poor quality. I don´t understand some things.

denial.

someone i know and used to party with and was a club owner in town died a few years ago in a hot tub at a gay ski weekend. the corner's report listed meth, oxycoton, wellbrutin, and a few other drugs as the cause of death. his mother to this day refuses to accept her son was a drug addict.

I don't know about worries about being poisoned. I wonder if he felt his family was trying to kill him since it was happening in Neverland, who knows why he was scared and what he was scared of. I'm actually amused Dick is even speaking out. Fool said he was gonna go on fast for 40 days "until the truth comes out", lol.

Nutritionist: Jackson "Didn't Want to Eat Food"...Fried Chicken, Juice, Trail Mix Excepted

Move over, Atkins. Step aside, Master Cleanse. We are proud to present the Michael Jackson diet.

Just when you thought you knew everything there was to know about the months leading up to the King of Pop's death, out pops former Jackson nutritionist Cherilyn Lee—who, luckily for us, never met a camera she didn't like—to shed some light on the question that's really plaguing the minds of the music legend's fans: Forget the toxicology report. Forget the multiple home raids. What, oh what, did M.J. like to eat?

Take it away, Lee.

"He loved trail mix," she told E! News. "And once a month he had to have fried chicken."

The odd smattering of snack and junk food aside, Lee said Jackson generally subsisted on what was more or less a liquid, juice-based diet. Or at least he did up until she parted ways with the singer in April, at which point he apparently moved on to more substantial fare.

Like granola.

Lee said she first joined forces with Jackson back in January, after a mutual friend asked her to drop in on the pop star's home when one of his children came down with the flu. She quickly took Jackson himself on as a patient.

"He said, 'Well, you know I'm feeling tired,' " she recalled. "'I'm getting ready for the concerts. I would love to have as much energy as possible, so what can I do with my diet and nutrition?' "

Lee quickly put him on a diet of juice and smoothies "to meet the needs of a couple things that were slightly out of bounds" for the singer.

As for why the nutritionist didn't opt for more of a solid meal plan, she said Jackson preferred his meals in liquid form.

"His whole thing was that he didn't really want to eat food."

He did, however, love his "caffeine-laced drinks," which Lee said added to his problem with low blood sugar. And while Jackson may have been food-averse himself, she denies he was underweight or that his preferences ever affected the children.

"They had structure," she said. "They sat down and had dinner together at night. Even though he'd say a lot of times, 'I'm not hungry,' this is what he wanted to do. He was a prime example of a very good father."

Not such a good patient, though.

Lee said it was around April that Jackson began having problems sleeping and started asking her for Diprivan, which she refused him, despite his persistent requests.

"What he tried to reassure me was that 'I will be safe...I will be safe just as long as someone monitors me.'

"He said, 'I'm tired of taking things to try to help me to sleep and I want to go to sleep right away. I don't want to wait for hours. I want to be knocked out.' Those were his words: 'I want to be knocked out and go to sleep.' "

I don´t think you can compare MJ to Janet or Kylie. Even though Janet is his sister and she did appear on TV, I am not sure if anyone actually cared till the Control album. I think she was able to lead a "seemingly normal" life. Not trying to excuse him, but MJ´s just a league of his own.

Kylie has been on tv in Oz since she was 7, she's been an international icon since she was 17. Michael didn't really reach the height of his fame til he was in his ,late teens early 20s. the jacksons were no different from the osmans. it wasn't until Off the Wall and Thriller that Michael really became the star we know today.

Yeah I see that. I saw the account of Elvis' final years and it was not a pretty picture either. Instead of starving himself tho, he was overfeeding himself a lot of food, got fat and then used drugs as comfort. He overdosed a dozen of times before he finally croaked in his bathroom nonetheless. confused They took a long while trying to revive him before he was pronounced dead at the hospital. Eerie that the same thing happened to Michael! eek
