It seems like Kenny O was the main reason why the shows got moved.

Not really the same at all cuz Prince himself NEVER announced he was doing that.

So what? He doesn't announce every show himself... and if he wouldn't have signed contracts the he should have sued the concert promoter, he's suing people who post his pictures on the net... the concert promoter used his picture for advertising... besides, his band had the date on their Myspaces... so it was an official show!

Prince is the king of using his minions, including the Org, to distribute misinformation. He didn't sign a thing or publically mention doing the show. And yeah, he actually does announce most if not all of his shows in the last five years himself in some OFFICIAL way. So that's not the same thing as this MJ situation IMO. But since you were personally affected I don't expect you to see it my way, which you don't have to. But, it ain't the same thing. shrug

But sadly it'll be MJ who gets the blame.

Found this right now

http://www.mirror.co.uk/c...-21375911/

A source close to the production said: Everyone’s sorry, but the show has evolved so much they need more time. Jackson is really disappointed. His hands are tied, it’s nothing to do with him.

And as usual, the people MJ works with always put their own interests aside first. Footloose my foot, Ortega.

If he didn't have anything to do with it, then why didn't anyone get sued, why did his band advertise that date on their private websites?? They must have gotten a notice through Prince!

And yeah, you're right... it's not the same... Croke Park got cancelled withtout an explanation, MJ's first 4 shows get postponed to get the show ready... as annoying and incosiderate to fans that may be... at least we get an explanation and the shows are still going to happen (supposedly).... and we get notified well in advance! And I'm affected by both cancellations/postponements!

Jesus, you think everything's a go and then something comes that just make you go "what?" Yeah I'm sure Mike's ticked by this.

SoulAlive

Janet's last tour went through this kind of nonsense too....postponements,cancellations,uncertainty about rescheduled dates, angry fans.Let's hope that MJ doesn't make the same mistakes that she did.The Jacksons need to stop playing games and DELIVER for once!

For now, let's give MJ a pass since he didn't actually cancel any dates (yet). But if he starts playing games, his comeback is gonna be ruined.

Yeah wait before we play pin the tail on Michael. lol It's not his fault either, really. I don't know what "Footloose" gotta do with it, lol. Seems that's Kenny's reasoning on why he's decided to postpone the dates, lol.

Seriously.

First of all, the world does not need a remake of Footloose with Zac Efron or whatever kid of the moment they decide to throw in the mix. Must everything be remade?

Second of all, I'd be pissed that this wasn't somehow worked out prior to or around MJ's schedule.

Right, that's what sucks about it. They couldn't figure out a way to work it out prior to the dates? They just suddenly announce it, lol.

When he sold out his shows as quickly as he did, you had nothing to say. But now that he is predictably having some problems, there you are ripping him again, going on what a fuck up he's become. It's like you couldn't wait to scream "I told you so!!"

nod right it's been like that every since the first allegations. Everyone loved Michael when he was riding high especially in 83 and 84..but as soon as he fell from grace, kick em when they are down. Join the bandwagon and lets harass michael until he's laying in the coffin stone cold.

Oh please even before the first allegations people thought MJ had lost the plot. People have been realizing that since 86, they have been calling him Wacko Jacko since 87 or before!! It's just that after the allegations it just reinforced something was really wrong with Michael and he was completely living on an another universal.

I was glad when MJ sold out quickly but I knew that there was going to be a problem, that's just how Michael's life is now, full of problems and ambiguity. Fact. The problem about lots of Michael's fans nowadays is that they have not got glue about Michael pre-Thriller so they truely believe all the problems happening to Michael is media driven and to do with conspiracy rather Michael himself and those that he surrounds himself being the problem. Has someone said he didn't have a quarter of these image problems when his father was his manager and even with Frank Dileo as his manager, apart from the silly leaking stories of oxygen tents and elephant man's bones, his professional life at least seem quite intact.

nah, the opening date is changed to

it was the 8th but now it's the 13th

They needed the extra time to stage the show in O2 and there were conflicts with other artists performing ahead of MJ there. They need the time to set up and walk it through

They should've thought about it when they announced the concerts.
