Imagine how much people have paid for opening night tickets from Ebay/ticket agencies to find that they've been re-scheduled to 2010 ..... if Jackson is still playing gigs in 2010 I'd be shocked ...

Opening night is still opening night - just 5 days later. Meaning the show that was due to happen first is still going ahead first. It sucks yes, but at least those who paid for first night tickets are still getting first night tickets.

Oh well... she's not beyond that... on the Drowned world tour they had to cancel the first couple of shows in germany (or was it spain?), because they didn't get their shit ready in time!

the stage didn't arrive on time so they canceled the first show

They cancelled the 2 shows in Cologne before they even got there... a couple of days earlier and it was scrapped altogether... not just postponed!

For the last 20 yrs things have been more or less bad, anyway. Even the things that seem good are not quite what they seem, i.e ambigious marriages and children.

When he sold out his shows as quickly as he did, you had nothing to say. But now that he is predictably having some problems, there you are ripping him again, going on what a fuck up he's become. It's like you couldn't wait to scream "I told you so!!"

they cancelled some shows in Germany for S&S II as well, postbones few concerts in South America and sometimes she might have been ill.

But she never cancelled after half a tour or because of some tempers.

Noone doubts that Madonna WILL tour in 2009, tickets are sold, and that's a good feeling.

As an MJ fan you always have to fear over everything...

first night is the 13th and the second is the 16th, and so on like before.

8th July 2009 now becomes 13th July 2009

10th July 2009 now becomes 1st March 2010

12th July 2009 now becomes 3rd March 2010

14th July 2009 now becomes 6th March 2010 but LAST SHOW

I have to agree with that but they will happen in the end, the shows haven't been cancelled, they have been shifted, and god, some people acting like it’s a catastrophe, it was a horrible decision for the fans who booked first shows ticket and I don't blame them for getting mad but as swa said ,an opening night is still opening night, it’s not a tragedy...

Really? Why even go through that hassle saying it'll be on different dates, now they realize that doing that would be detrimental to ticket buyers? confused

What is Croke Park?

A stadium in Dublin in which Prince was supposed to to a show last year! Many people from all over Europe booked a flight there, including yours truly, only to have the show cancelled without explanation the monday in the week before the gig!

nod right it's been like that every since the first allegations. Everyone loved Michael when he was riding high especially in 83 and 84..but as soon as he fell from grace, kick em when they are down. Join the bandwagon and lets harass michael until he's laying in the coffin stone cold.

my hands are too tired for doing exams hmph! lol

I'll just cut and paste what qBee said about it
Kenny Ortega asked the dates to be changed
for the integrity of the shows and for safety reasons
becuase they didnt have enough rehearsal dates at 02
before the opening night due to other artists concerts.

They needed a certain amount of dates to set up and rehearse at the venue and they simply didn't have it

I said in another thread that if Michael can pull this off and follow through with these shows,it will be the comeback of the century.Come on Michael, get it together and just DO IT! No delays,no excuses,no more postponements, just DO IT! Whatever the problems are, work it out and follow through. This may be his final chance to make a comeback.

So what? He doesn't announce every show himself... and if he wouldn't have signed contracts the he should have sued the concert promoter, he's suing people who post his pictures on the net... the concert promoter used his picture for advertising... besides, his band had the date on their Myspaces... so it was an official show!
