Here's the whole speech. I love this movie, I think I'ma pop in the DVD. lol This clip is oddly appropriate on an MJ thread. giggle

It does! Especially the last part.

"That scene makes people think that black people wanna be white!"
"Well isn't that true?"
(Gets out the chair, brings out shot gun and shoots dude in the stomach)
"BLACK RAGE!"

falloff

I give this thread 24 hours before it self-destructs. lol

Did anyone see this. This a bit random, but Marilyn Manson was being mistaken for being Michael Jackson cause he was wearing a black veil over his head. lol

Yeah no excuses can be made about this one. It's f-ed up and I feel bad for the fans who have lost out on airfare and hotel money. I don't think it's fair to solely blame Michael though. He is not the one who is putting the show toegether all by himself, so all the parties involved are to blame. What I do notice though is that MJ and his team always seem to be VERY disorganized. How could they not have anticipated this from the start? And why would you re-schedule dates from July all the way to next year?! That's just not right. If I had tix to one of those shows i'd be pissed.

All I'm hoping is that MJ doesn't cancel or postpone any more dates and makes it through all 50 shows. That's probably unlikely lol, but him and his team really need to pull it together 'cause all they're doing is proving the media and naysayers right. It just looks bad all around.

Exactly! I am really hoping that Michael can pull this off,but now I am not so sure.He and his team need to sit down and work out ALL potential problems,so that the tour runs smoothly. The media and naysayers are just waiting to be able to shout "told you so!".

SEXYMF2002

Could simply be due to the fact that someone has a case against MJ for breaking his contract to fulfill a J5 reunion show and planned to sue if any of the o2 shows happen before his...

So maybe MJ is planning a couple of quick J5 shows to honor that promoters contract and in turn increase the hype a little more for his own tour...never know

Either way...somethings not smelling right... confused

How utterly unprofessional to book a tour and sell all the tickets, and THEN decide you don't have long enough to prepare for the opening nights.

Why on Earth does this man have fans eating out of the palm of his hand?!

Damn, that is a shame that he postponed those dates. I am just lucky to have tickets for the 16. July, which means that I´m gonna be at the opening night. eek woot! I just pray he won´t postpone that date too.

I would be PISSED!!! pissed You know TONS of people are coming from overseas for MJ. Shit I went to London to see Prince. I'd be LIVID right about now if I were one of those fans. They shoulda announced the dates AFTER rehearsing the show. disbelief

That is a good point, that they should have set the dates when they were good and READY to get down to business.

Fair point - but in reality most tours of this scale are sold months in advance to ensure scheduling and no conflicts with other booked events, an issue that has sadly contributed to the rescheduling.

Not sure what it is like elsewhere in the world but in Australia bands book tours 6 - 8 months in advance (Coldplay, Pink, U2).

Does anyone really believe that "they" had only planned one night's rehearsal at the O2???

If they had, well then they're stupider than I thought

Does anyone still really think these concerts are going to go ahead ? I speak as a ticket holder but I have a bad feeling that this is the thin end of the wedge and he'll start messing around with dates before just cancelling the lot. And even if he doesn't i'd put money on a mysterious illness developing.

Despite what Ortega and AEG say, he doesn't look fit or healthy enough to go ahead with this. The whole thing is beginning to stink of being a big con to make a fast buck from the interest on ticket sales.

The early booking isn't the issue, it sounds like insufficient rehearsal time. He hasn't been rehearsing for 6 months has he? And that's not always true about the early booking because Prince booked his 21 nights at the O2 I believe less than 2 months before the first show and I believe that every night was performed as scheduled. This MJ thing just sounds like poor or rushed planning. I really hope it works out tho. pray

nod right it's been like that every since the first allegations. Everyone loved Michael when he was riding high especially in 83 and 84..but as soon as he fell from grace, kick em when they are down. Join the bandwagon and lets harass michael until he's laying in the coffin stone cold.

Oh please even before the first allegations people thought MJ had lost the plot. People have been realizing that since 86, they have been calling him Wacko Jacko since 87 or before!! It's just that after the allegations it just reinforced something was really wrong with Michael and he was completely living on an another universal.

I was glad when MJ sold out quickly but I knew that there was going to be a problem, that's just how Michael's life is now, full of problems and ambiguity. Fact. The problem about lots of Michael's fans nowadays is that they have not got glue about Michael pre-Thriller so they truely believe all the problems happening to Michael is media driven and to do with conspiracy rather Michael himself and those that he surrounds himself being the problem. Has someone said he didn't have a quarter of these image problems when his father was his manager and even with Frank Dileo as his manager, apart from the silly leaking stories of oxygen tents and elephant man's bones, his professional life at least seem quite intact.

Well, but Prince's show wasn't as elaborate as Michael's will be! Besides, Prince had a band and the twins, who have been doing countless shows with him already! Michael is basically starting from scratch... with everything new and no benefit of already having show experience with the band, dancers and crew!

Despite the poor and rushed planning I still think that those shows will happen though!

Never saw this thread before, so I'll cut and paste what I said on the sticky....

The truth is Michael does not want to perform, because he can no longer cut it. Rehearsing with dancers half his age will only have reminded him of his physical decline. If he could still sing live I would say that he shouldn't be hanging with dancers anyway. He should be hanging with... MUSICIANS! But since he doesn't have a voice anyway, the truth is, he has nowhere to go performance-wise..... AND HE KNOWS IT!

It is a deep shame that financial problems have forced him into doing something he is no longer fit to do. He must be panicking big time right now. If he cancels, AEG will sue him to the point of bankruptcy. If he goes ahead he'll be embarrassed and depressed by going out there as a shadow of his former self. He must really regret all those years of overspending. The chickens are coming home to roost.
