Don’t embarrass yourself by defending this creep. Ri Ri did not put those bruises on her face herself. Only two people can fit in a two-seat vehicle. He did it and no you don’t get to beat the crap out of a woman because you do not like something she said or did. ----- But I can beat men because I do not like something he said or did? ----- Nobody should beat on anyone male or female but if you think a chick that weights a 105 can beat a grown go ahead and be that stupid. I think we are seeing a lot of guys on this board who are total punks.

Everyone wants the process to work but the men haning on to it for dear life really begs the question as to why they cannot view an assault victim as just that without the cops, lawyers, and judges steppin in to confirm it is true. Rihanna's Family Reacts to Charges Mar 6 Link Just hours after Chris Brown was charged with two felonies – assault and making criminal threats – in the alleged beating of his girlfriend, Rihanna, one of the Barbados-born pop star's relatives tells PEOPLE, "It's about time." "He should be in jail," Rihanna's relative says of Brown, 19, who faces up to four years and eight months in state prison. "He deserves whatever he gets." Contacted in Barbados, Rihanna's father reacted with surprise and displeasure to detailed reports leaked earlier today about the alleged bloody assault on his daughter. "I was annoyed. I never hit my daughter," says Ronald Fenty, 55. "Why should he hit her? Why would any one do that? I was crazy, but I don't know the situation and I wasn't there." Rihanna, 21, and Brown have gotten back together since the incident, much to the dismay of her family. "No one wants them back together," the relative told PEOPLE on Monday. "I don't ever want her to go through this again."

There's a big difference between being a needy/lovestruck or possibly sprung young person in over their head and someone who takes their frustrations out on someone's face. That's another reason why I think this reconciliation stuff is for just for show. He wanted some breathing room from her apparently, but now she's the "woman he loves?" Gimme a break. She's trying to help him but keep a distance (publically) at the same time. And he feels he needs her right now. Quite a tightrope they are attempting to walk to say the least...[Edited 3/6/09 13:38pm]

Attorney: Rihanna will testify if called MSN Entertainment LOS ANGELES-- Rihanna's attorney says the singer would testify against Chris Brown if called as a witness in her boyfriend's assault case. Donald Etra, who is representing the 21-year-old Barbados native, said Friday that Rihanna would be required by law to testify if prosecutors subpoena her. Etra appeared in court Thursday when Brown made his first appearance on charges of assaulting and making criminal threats to his superstar girlfriend. Brown's arraignment was postponed until April 6. Etra said Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, wants the case over with quickly. "She wants to get along with her life and career," he said. Earlier Friday, Entertainment Tonight broke the news that a protective order was issued by the court that limits Brown's interactions with Rihanna. The order filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday stipulates that Chris must not "harass, strike, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise), follow, stalk, molest, destroy or damage personal or real property, disturb the peace, keep under surveillance, or block movements of the protected persons named above," with Robyn Fenty listed as the protected person. View the document here. The order expires on March 5, 2012, and also requires Chris to surrender or sell any licensed firearms within 24 hours. The order also prevents the teenage R&B star from attempting to dissuade witnesses from attending a hearing or testifying, or trying to "obtain the addresses or locations of protected persons or their family members, caretakers, or guardian unless good cause exists otherwise." Another stipulation of the order states that the protected person -- Rihanna -- may record any prohibited communications made by the restrained person -- Chris. Rihanna's attorney Donald Etra told ET Thursday, "Rihanna was ok with the so-called level one protective order, which orders Chris not to annoy, molest or harass her. And Rihanna believes that was totally sufficient." and more about protective order: Protective order issued against Chris Brown

That's what I've been trying to say on this thread, but apparently the ladies on here aren't having it. They already want Chris Brown rotting in jail and becoming the bitch for some inmate named Bubba before we hear all of the facts. I'm not saying this Chris is necessarily innocent in this case, but we may hear some other details on the stand about how Rihanna may have instigated the whole incident, plus we may find out whether both Chris and Rihanna were pressured by their handlers to appear together at Clive Davis' party even though they had allegedly broke up earlier. That's not to say that she deserved to be beat down like that; no one does, but let's hear all sides.
