falloff falloff falloff

So I guess you asked all the African-Americans in the world to arrive at the conclusion that all African-Americans prefer MJ over Prince??? lol

Dear Krayzie: Newsflash..African-Americans are not monolithic;we are individuals with individual minds. We vary in size, shape and complexions and we don't all eat chicken, ribs, macaroni & cheese and collard greens.. lol ..(okay, just kidding with ya Krayzie). No but seriously, you can't lump all African-Americans in one group and assume we all prefer one artist over the other, but to answer your question, as an African-American female, I appreciate both artists and their music.... biggrin

Slow ya roll, chief. Now, nowhere in your title do you say "'SOME' African-Americans" or "'A LOT' of African-Americans" or "'MOST' African-Americans" - you just say "African-Americans" and that signifies ALL African-Americans since you didn't specify any amount.

Next time be clearer in the number of which you're qualifying. Also, how do you know that more Blacks prefer MJ over Prince? You STILL haven't given us ANY figures to base this ridiculousness on.

Ok, crackshot, so how many DOES it mean then? Give us a number or amount?

By the way, you're STILL wrong. When you don't specify a number or amount, you ARE including ALL by simply just saying "African-Americans". It's simple grammar, homie.

And I'm glad you're shit is as vague as it gets: "Anyone who knows the black community knows that MJ is more popular" - Ok, kid - Give us the number then, since you KNOW the Black community so well. (This is a fraudulent-ass thread to begin with lol)

Yeah that's like saying every one of us loves Soulja Boy and there's a million rappers my age or younger on YouTube posting messages clowning the dude! lol Plus SOME black folks will be fast to hate MJ's guts rather than "embrace" him. In fact, there's a good population of black folks who rather hear a Prince song than a MJ song nowadays or even back in the '80s, lol.

It's also like saying gay dudes prefer Cher and Madonna over people like, say, the Bar Kays and P-Funk and already vainandy has proven that he rather be a funk-head than a diva fan. lol

So that's kinda moot to put people in a box.

My friend, read carefully my previous post... If you know african americans you should know that MJ is far more popular... And it's not about precise numbers (MJ is far more popular)...

So I don't see how you can get the idea that I'm wrong... And please, when you said I include ALL african americans, this your interpretation, but not what I meant...

Nope...
Almost a year later Off the Wall was still the favorite r&b album, it was still in the charts... The matter of fact, Off the wall dominated the charts until the end of the 80's... Off the wall won Favorite Soul/R&B Album award two years in a raw

Two years a row? Well, that's not surprising considering that it was released in mid to late 1979 and was also a big crossover success. Yeah, I'm sure it did have huge sales both the end of 1979 and the beginning of 1980. No one is disputing the success and popularity of the album. I'm simply disputing the length of time it was popular and considering the time frame, it wasn't drug out any longer in the R&B community than any other artist's album that year.

If it was, Michael Jackson solo songs would have been all over "Soul Train" at the same time that "Lovely One" was all over "Soul Train". As a matter of fact, they aired several "Soul Train" episodes from the year 1980 containing "Lovely One" and Michael's solo stuff was long gone. "Soul Train" definately played what was popular at the time and so did R&B radio. I was alive and old enough at the time to experience it first hand. Of course, these are things that grown folks know about and children have to learn. It's called "experience".

The matter of fact, Off the wall dominated the charts until the end of the 80's..

I always wondered which album knocked "Purple Rain" off the charts in 1984. I never knew it was "Off The Wall". Since that album dominated the charts until the rest of the 1980s, I guess it knocked Michael Jackson's own "Thiller" off the charts also.

Again you talk nothing but shit...

Re-read your own post and you'll see who's talking shit.

Off the wall was a black album made for the black audience, at that time it was the biggest selling album by a black artist... How can you say "Pop radio made him" ?

More you talk, more you say complete bullshit...

Pop radio had nothing to do with the HUGE popularity of MJ...

You are absolutely right. Pop radio and MTV had absolutely no knowledge of "Thriller" whatsoever. Midnight Star had more pop success than Michael Jackson.

Anybody can invent anything on internet, I've exposed your ignorance on black music several times before, and again you re write history

Everything you said is atrociously wrong and inaccurate...

Yeah right. Compare my "Jam Of The Day" threads that I have started which usually is a song that the average white person has no knowledge or memory of at all, to your threads and posts on Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, in which white people are highly knowledgeable about, and see who's been exposed to more and has the so-called "blacker" taste.

You just a white guy who has no clue what black music is all about...

Yeah, I'm a tall glass of milk. However, my milk has been filled with chocolate and you are the cookie that has been dipped into me whose outer layer has rubbed off and made me more chocolate than your inner cream filling.
