ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz........... Ahh, so Prince is trying to bore us to death with his new music. I wonder if this is a new form of terrorism. With the exception of Cinnamon Girl and A Million Days (which are tollerable), the new album is pretty boring and irritating. I'll admit, it's a good deal better than TRC, but it's so lame compared to what he's capable of. I thought he really wanted a comeback. I guess he'll just do it with his old hits this year. That's all the majority will care about anyway. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

Although this doesnt really merit a response, I though I'd just add that I'm confused as to what you think he is capable of? I think Musicology is a pretty good album full of the kind of music that non-fans will appreciate. TRC was very different and very exciting to me. What is it that you're waiting for?

TRC was very different and very exciting to me. What is it that you're waiting for? I wouldn't consider myself "waiting" for anything. But I would like an exciting album with some depth. Mostly what I hear from him is dry wood. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

Mostly what I hear from him is dry wood. That's a terribly contradicting statement. You'd like an album with some depth, yet you prefer Musicology, over TRC. TRC has about as much musical, and lyrical, depth as any album you could possibly listen to. Am I missing something?

It's all good, dude. P isn't going anywhere. He's shown that he can get the public's attention anytime he wants, and he's definitely still got your attention. With his diversity, I'm sure he'll put out something that you can appreciate within the next few years. Remember, "one thing I ain't gonna run out of is music".

Dear EvilWhiteMale, I am not diggin' it too much either, I can barely get thru Musicology. Anyway, I was glad to see that you enjoyed his concert(yeah I still remember that post). Have a nice day!

Thanks, you too. People need to understand that I'm not spewing venom at everything Prince does. I really enjoyed that after party and I loved his RRHOF solo. I just don't like his current recordings or the way he mutillates his old hits. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

Hey Evil...I completely hear you. Although, I can't bare to listen to anything BUT "A Million Days" (which I think is good), I completely understand what you mean. Maybe we should just give up on him altogether. I've been at the moment for a while now. (as you know) The HOF performance of "SOTT" was relatively good..compared to what I've heard over years...and the guitar solo from "While my guitar gently weeps"...made me cock my head, squint and say "OHHHH"....(too bad I don't get that feeling from HIS music)... ...have you heard MM's version of "Personal Jesus" yet?! I think I'll just sit around and wait for some new music from SOAD, Disturbed and Bush...Atleast they haven't let me down.

(as you know) I'll still keep my ears open, but I won't invest any cash into things that will only collect dust. Luckily we still have free downloading. The HOF performance of "SOTT" was relatively good..compared to what I've heard over years...and the guitar solo from "While my guitar gently weeps"...made me cock my head, squint and say "OHHHH"....(too bad I don't get that feeling from HIS music)... Very true. It's obvious he can kill on the guitar, but for some reason all his own songs are so dry. It's a very weird thing. ...have you heard MM's version of "Personal Jesus" yet?! Not yet, but I'm looking forward to the CD with all the videos and that track. It'll be out in the fall. I think I'll just sit around and wait for some new music from SOAD, Disturbed and Bush...Atleast they haven't let me down. It's a good thing there's always other music out there. The new SOAD will be the next on my list also. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

That's a joke, right? No, it's not. I like the vocals on it, the organ, the nice laid-back guitar in the background, the breaks, the lyrics, did I say the vocals. In one word that song is "sexy" for me. I guess it's not a groundbreaking composition as far as the harmonies or melodies are concerned but that are so many wonderful little things in there. Like his vocals... So, I tried to explain my liking of the song with my limited vocabulary, would you elaborate on your disliking? And IF you do, please, no "it's boring".
