- Well, so far for this post released album he actually prefered to leave in the vault. It is basically never cohesive when it comes to unreleased Prince albums. Since he tends to take songs from them, rerecord them, rerelease them in other configurrations, etc. Don't forget he also said that a lot in the vault is unfinished. Maybe that couts for this album too, since he did not release it. We'll never know for sure. - And Herb4 is right in his approach by saying : "I'll say again, I just don't think Prince gave much of a fuck about releasing albums as things went on." ... and I agree on that. - When I say intended, I'm not refering to whether Prince wanted the music released or talking about it in any moral sense regarding what should be done with his posthumous music. I'm saying, at one point Prince put this album configuration together, which makes it more interesting from an artistic standpoint than the unloading dumptruck of songs you get from an SDE. And I don't understand how whatever happened to the songs before or after would impact their cohesiveness as an album. That's down to how Prince's configuration works. Sign o the Times is incredibly eclectic and features a song originally written almost a decade earlier, it doesn't mean the work is less cohesive. Of course, Prince has released albums which don't sound cohesive, and I agree that Prince seemed to care less about albums as he got older (despite what he said at the Grammys). I wonder how will the "Prince is a purple alien who transcended race" crowd react when they hear some of the songs in there. I'm excited about this release.

Miss Chocolate Box really took it to the next level with this one. I'm so glad Her mutual friend with Prince stopped Her from confronting Sheila E. I fear for what would've befallen Mz E. It is a known fact Mz Box is a purring kitten in the sheets but a bloodlusting wildcat in the streets.

- That is a great read. Thank you so much !! It is now perfectly clear why, for example, '' The Truth '' had to be remastered,
designed and ready for October 2020 last year to ensure it would be released on June 12th this year.
Wow, quite a complicated way of producing music on media.
An SDE package of any new release must therefore go through the same steps.
That means that by now they should have more or less the whole idea of a new release,
(finalizing the research, curation, remastering, and final product) to be sure of a release for next year 2022 !?
I think it is very strong that no information or anything else gets out in between.
That is very impressive.

- LOL I just don't understand why your children feel scared when they see this. What is so scary about this flowerish friendly image? There's no penis to be seen, not even two nipples. I think the estate screwed up big time by not making a cd/bluray combo pack available. I am leaning towards not purchasing the deluxe edition and just buying the cd for $12.99.that is a pity because I would be willing to spend $50 for the combo pack. I have supported the estate since the "prince 4ever" set and also bought the deluxe for 1999 and SOTT..

Hello to all,
there is a gap in the official discography of Prince between 20ten and art official age, basically between 2010 and 2014 ; coud that be due to his problems of health, hip surgery precisely, that pushed him to postpone some of his most recent work ? ; finally due to the fact that new projects were probably on the run in 2014, notably the 3rdEYEGIRL album, coud he have been put on the shelf some of the projects that he has done during this period (2010-2014) for concentrating him on the new stuff, deciding to not look backwards?
about the new album 'W2A', i'm very confident about the quality of the music,
the new single has a good production, and sound a little bit like the spoken production of James Brown by 1970 (i think at 'EScapicism'),
we know 1000 years through 'Black Muse', so we can be confident about this track,
we have only heard a few seconds sample of 'Born 2 die', but according to what we have heard, the song sounds terrific
the least important, the art cover ; the art cover is sober, classical portrait, with a limit range of colors : brown, black, white... i have never been a fan of most of his album covers (except for the Family album, Around the world in a day, the rainbow chidren, 3121 and a few other ones) but this one fits perfectly.
