After Prince died, participation here seemed to drop off pretty hard since there were no new tours or albums and left nothing but the die hards. Now, one might think that would be a GOOD thing overall but it also left us with a lot of crazy obsessed types who seem to live solely through Prince and seem to seek The Throne of the Number One Fan. Which is hard when he's dead.

We had months (years) of murder conspiracy theories for a while and I checked out for long minute over it.

I think it's always been this way though. We're just getting older and the internet's overall level of discourse across the board has deteriorated. The mods here do what they do out of a labor of love. They don't get paid and I'm sure it's time consuming dealing with petty arguments.

One of the biggest problems regarding the bolded sentence above is that ten years ago, people posted from keyboards and tended to write in complete sentences instead of the drive-by bullshit level of discourse we see now -- birthed by cell phones and character limited sites like Twitter. Short attention spans, emojis, shorthand, posting via text while driving on the highway...all of it leads to people just shitting stuff out instead of putting any thought behind anything.

I read my posts before I hit "reply", check them for errors, erase shit that sounds stupid, fix grammar, edit in/out citations and ideas...I put some thought into it. People posting in their cars at red lights while drivers honk horn behind them just hit "post response".

Otherwise it's just white noise and a form of verbal diarreah. I can read youtube live streams for that.

about the new album 'W2A', i'm very confident about the quality of the music,

the new single has a good production, and sound a little bit like the spoken production of James Brown by 1970 (i think at 'EScapicism'),

we know 1000 years through 'Black Muse', so we can be confident about this track,

we have only heard a few seconds sample of 'Born 2 die', but according to what we have heard, the song sounds terrific

the least important, the art cover ; the art cover is sober, classical portrait, with a limit range of colors : brown, black, white... i have never been a fan of most of his album covers (except for the Family album, Around the world in a day, the rainbow chidren, 3121 and a few other ones) but this one fits perfectly.
