The book isn't exclusive to prince.com, and the CD super deluxe IS housed in a 12" box. It's different than the 1999 set. |

The intern strikes again Yeah of course it's a typo. Shouldn't happen though. I also wonder if Cocoa Boys is a typo as well, and if "Vault" is a typo since on 1999 Deluxe it was "Vault Tracks". . That image U posted of the CD SD set could be of a 5"x5" mini book. Although, the 3rd party weblink U just sent looks more convincing and I quote it here: "Both vinyl and CD boxes are presented in a 12″ x 12″ sets and come with a 120-page hardcover book featuring brand new liner notes from various parties including Lenny Kravitz (who provides a foreword), audio engineer Susan Rogers, Dave Chappelle and Minneapolis music scene commentator Andrea Swensson."

Can’t wait to get the CD set... incredible release for hardcore fans... but... . I feel it would have been good for the less hardcore if Crystal Ball, Dream Factory, etc were on this set (The Crystal Ball set they’re on is quite an obscure release for many fans). And we could have lost a few 7” edits to make this work. It would also have made the 4 disk deluxe better value for the less hardcore fans. . And the 7” set is cute for The Beatles or Elvis, but this was the age of extended 12” mixes... Nice looking, but feels pointless and just wrong to me! | |

I keep seeing this idea that the track released on CB 98 are somehow, not actually released. I think its clear to see, that the Estate is treating that album, as a legit part of Prince's discography, and so, it's probably ALWAYS going to be around. It's not obscured anymore, especially once Sony re-releases it. Those tracks on it were their official release. Crystal Ball, Dream Factory, Sexual Suicide, Last Heart, Movie Star, Make Your Mama Happy are NOT vault tracks, and the version they could have released, are not diffrent enough, I beleive. Much like the alt version of D.M.S.R. wasn't released on 1999 SDE. That said, Crucial is like the full version of Delrious, or Something In The Water.

Seeing that 'Strange Relationship (1987 Shep Pettibone Club Mix)' is only 7:08 yet it's the only track on an LP-side, I'm wondering if that side will be cut at 45rpm. That would be a nice touch. Friends don't let friends clap on 1 and 3.

I call it like I see it and this release goes down as a win for the Estate and Mr. Howe. Keep digging deep and going big with the releases. Casual fans and some diehards didn't buy his stuff when he was alive. The strategy of big/deep releases for those of us willing to spend the $ is the best way to monetize his vault. Unfortunately, not all fans have $150+ to spend on releases, but that is what the smaller releases are for and they will download the stuff anyway. Keep going big/deep. [Edited 6/25/20 12:10pm] | |

Other than 10 additional seconds, is there any other indication that Wally 2020 Remaster is the same as the leaked version? Color me skeptical but I sincerely doubt that the 'Remaster' will have the same intro that fades out as indicated in the leak. | |
