I'm not too familiar with the live shows. I've just checked a clip of the VOD. 1999 and Kiss were also in the live set. We're they both played regularly on the Sign tour? Were they played at Utrect. I'd check myself but I'm travelling atm.

Wow, these deluxe compilations - esp this latest one if confirmed - are a big hot mess. I'm going to do my own 'album' edits of vault stuff based on the 'prince vault' material put on lUbe tube. That's U as in You The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

Gotta have Cosmic Day on there. Come on Estate.

. It'd be a shame though if Forever In My Life is missing on this set. It was a highlight of the Utrecht shows. This may just be my memory making things better than they were, but I think the flashing lighters on the beat started in Utrecht. Prince made sure to get the band members from backstage to have a look at it. It doesn't come across as well in the movie (which was giant missed opportunity imo, overdubbing the audio and lipsynching and to add insult to injury those vignettes inbetween that take any momentum out of the thing) but it was magical. Assuming the list for the moment in true, then this release would allow us to compile every configuration of 'Dream Factory', using all previously released tracks. With one exception. The guitar interlude known as 'Wendy'. .

I clearly saw it says Four with Sheila E solo. So....that’s the 20th. Not the 21st. What are you talking about? SquirrelMeat said:

And there’s way too many tracks from pre 86 so it makes no sense. Once again, they’re throwing shit on here that don’t fit & once again, the Revolution will be interviewed ad nauseam saying this was their album even though outside of strange relationship & it’s gonna be a beautiful night, the released album is 90% solo material

Ohhhh ok. Maybe they’ll go with a Rotterdam show? Who knows. Long as we get an actual concert from the tour I’m happy. SquirrelMeat said:

I'm shocked Train is on here and not Originals 2. I like that they aren't just giving us the version of bootlegs we already have (Crucial, Big Tall Wall, etc). Some of the choices seem a bit much - don't need 3 versions of APIH, a Crystal Ball and Wonderful Day single mix?, And I'm glad we can finally hear Promise 2 B True and Blanche. Very surprised to not see Rebirth, Cosmic, or Wally. Those seem like no brainers. If M Howe thought the fans would hate not having Colleen, what makes him think it isn't an oversight to not have Data Bank/Girl/Can't/Funk suite or the preciously mentioned songs...

Just please include a show on the DVD that we can't find on Youtube. the New Years show at Paisley is great but we have all seen it. The reheasal show at First Ave is great but we have seen it. Oddly I have never found any of the SOTT shows in Europe online. Parade yes, Lovesexy yes, but strangly no SOTT shows. Why???

If this list is complete, I’m extremely disappointed There could have been more on it I don’t need 3 versions of apih Or two versions of Big Tall Wall As much as I love Wonderful Day, it should be on a parade deluxe not sott No Rebirth is a CRIME No Joy alt intro is a CRIME Along with Cosmic Day, Wally, Flesh tracks etc Guess my faith in Howe and crew is gone after the wonderful 1999 deluxe minor keys and drugs don't make a rollerskate jam

I feel a lot less intrigued and excited for this one than I did 1999 SDE which felt like it had so much to show us.

For a lot of us, SOTT is our fav album To omit songs like Rebirth is just disrespectful Especially when we know that these songs exist and were intended for Crystal Ball or DF minor keys and drugs don't make a rollerskate jam

Right? That has to be the case - they wouldn't hold that song back. That would make zero sense, it was such a prominent song for the era. Hell he was rehearsing the song with the band and aspects made it into the live show so surely it's there. Interesting we don't see 101 or Come Home. At the very least I'll be interested in hearing what the methodology behind this compilation was. I don't mean to sound ungrateful - lotta cool shit on here I really can't wait to hear. But also the most puzzling questions as to why certain things are missing.

Interesting how people think that what leaked, which has a lot of missing track numbers, is the definitive list and complain. Personally, it seems like this set will be great, with quite a few tracks I haven't heard and finally good quality versions of some I have. (next to stuff we already have good quality versions of) . it seems the goal is to release all the tracks from Dream Factory, Crystal Ball, Camille and Sign of the Times, which is the right approach afaic. And it adds some more goodies, including possibly a concert from The Netherlands I attended. Add a dvd of a Sign Of The Times show, which has never properly been released to this day (unlike most of his other tours of those years), it's an exciting looking set. Can't wait for the full reveal! Paisley Park is in your heart - Love Is Here!

Rebirth is such a blatant omission that I'm confident it's one of the not-shown tracks thus far.
Now I wish I could have the same confidence for the other essentials like Cosmic Day, Wally, Coco Boys, Witness 4 The Prosecution (October 86')

Exactly. Let's wait for the final official tracklist before we start getting too worked up.

Magazines like Q just print 'legend' stories. They don't exactly strive for Duane Tudahl levels of research. Prince was recording constantly, I think it's unlikely you could list 500 songs and say they were all definitely for SOTT.

. How many fucking times do we need to say IT IS NOT. . The list I posted contains the track numbers as shown by Questlove. Now, can you count to 100? Can you spot the missing ones? . Sheesh. © Bart Van Hemelen
